Is there a local landmark I can use as a reference as to where I want to be located?

I like to search on airbnb by using the map feature.

Thanks ahead.

To maximise your chances of getting the flag, you want to be located in 'Itaewon' which is the area where most of the girls who are interested in foreigners go to party. Seoul Central Mosque is a good landmark to use as a reference.

Base yourself as close to the blue subway sign on the above map as possible. The street above it contains the best bars and clubs in the Itaewon area.

I'm in Seoul now, and it's just eye candy... most beautiful girls on earth. That's good game to get 40 in 3 years here

RE: The Truth About Korean Girls (Seoul Datasheet)
I'm not an expert on Korea, I've only spent a total of 3 months there. 6 korean notches while there (plus 2 koreans in Europe).

From my limited experiences I second Itaewon for the weekend flag hunter.

It's the place to find the "white dick hunters", the most westernized, crazy and low quality sluts in Seoul. Most korean girls told me they avoid Itaewon like the plague because "the only reason to go there is to fuck a tourist".

Not a flag to be proud of, but still a flag. Most guys going out in itaweon stay either very far away (logistics suck in such a big city) or stay in a hostel. Rent airbnb and you should be ahead of 80% of the guys you see around.

If you want normal everyday girls, Hongdae is full of students. Not impossible, but not easy either. Met guys who where living long term in Seoul and loved Hongdae, but they didn't recommend it for short time flag hunting.

Gandam is more hi-so and requires tight game, cash and probably korean.

Today in Gangnam I was denied entry into a "Koreans only" eating establishment. That's some offensive shiznit. Sure, it's an indecent looking 6'4 white cat with sunglasses holding back his hair trying to enter an establishment that is of working Koreans, but what the hell?

Came across this on youtube.. So asking this out of curiosity?

Talks about fast fashion/ fast changing trends..

I've moved away from "fast fashion" and gone to "permanent" "classic" never looks out of sync STYLE.

Dark Straight fit Denim Jeans + Fitted Shirt + Blazer/ Jacket

Would that work in a place like Korea? Is there way to hack classic pieces to appeal or look good in a K pop drive scenario?

Or does/ can one add edginess to the above?

The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.

That's Korea for you.
Get used to it.
Want a friendlier welcome ?
Go to China or Japan instead.

RE: The Truth About Korean Girls (Seoul Datasheet)
thinking about doing a SK trip for about a week in late November-early to mid December when it's balls cold (I'll be free all winter but I want to make this my first stop)

Is Itaewon really the place to stay at? Should I even bother going to SK during the winter? I'm not a huge fan of cold weather but I can rough it out for a week.

My demographics: 5'10 Black-American with an afro. 170-175 in weight

@LoveBug: I've never heard of a restaurant denying entry. Do you remember the name of the place?

@bumborass: I think Itaewon is your best bet for short stays. Check out Fountain for a very brightly lit lounge/sports bar. Packed on weekends with lines but free entry. It's sorta behind Hamilton Hotel. It has an upscale feel but has a bunch of bar games on the 2nd floor (machine hoops, pool, arcade games - all free to play).
Then there's Glam and Thursday Party. Both are well-known as hunting grounds. They're on the same side as Hamilton hotel.
Glam probably has the hotter girls that are dressed better but drinks are a bit pricier than most lounges. Best to be dressed well here to succeed. Try to get there before 10, 8-9 being ideal to secure a seat and table (again no cover). I don't remember if you need to buy a bottle of liquor to get a table as I've mostly stuck to beers and cocktails at the bar.
Thursday Party tries to recreate an American college bar atmosphere. Sticky floor from spilled booze, darts games, foosball, beer pong are available. Drinks are cheap and there's no cover to get in.

I haven't been to Hongdae in a long time, so can't really comment on it. But I used to go to lounge bar called Zen Bar back in the day to pregame. It's probably still around but I'm sure other good places can be found.

These days, Itaewon attracts all sorts of people, not just girls looking for foreign dick.
Plenty of normal girls who don't usually go clubbing can be found in the many restaurants and lounges.

If you do end up deciding to base yourself in Itaewon, get an airbnb in the area or maybe IP Boutique hotel.
I wouldn't stay at Hamilton Hotel. It's super old.

Even in second tier cities such as Busan or Dajeon, it's not uncommon to see big signs of "no foreigners allowed inside".

I do respect koreans for their honest no bullshit "I don't like you, you don't come into my club" attitude. Beats the hypocrisy of other asian countries where they let you in but give you dirty looks all night.

Can't blame them though, after all the westerns causing trouble you see during an average night out.

RE: The Truth About Korean Girls (Seoul Datasheet)
@lovingseoul - I don't because it was all in Korean letters. I was looking for some real authentic Korean style dig. When you get off subway line 2, walk through the mall, continue going northbound, first right, then first left it would be the second restaurant with black exterior. Of course, I may have confused what the older Korean gentleman was saying as to why he wouldn't let me in, I think I inferred that and heard it after the fact in my head so to speak. And to be fair, I've visited a few authentic Korean dives before and they were very accommodating

But when I'm on the subway, I really get the empty seat next to me syndrome as well.. But part of this may be my doing. I'm 6'4, have kind of a edgy look.. not shaved.. wild unkempt hair, natural look etc.. I do stick out here. And maybe it's not a racism.. maybe the restaurant owner would've served me if we were alone, but a guy with my look may detract from his business

Part of me wants to leave and never look back. But part of me is attracted to the conservative elegance of these Korean chicks. This is what I came to Asia for.. not the scrubs in the Phils

In Japan the "Japanese only" establishments tend to be gangster-owned places; might this be the case in S. Korea?

are you sure you weren't denied entry for eating alone?......I've come across restaurants where you needed a minimum of 2 people (barbq & hotpot places especially)

It has nothing to do with your appearance.
Most Koreans in Korea just don't like to be seen with (or hang around) foreigners, especially sitting next to them.

When they are outside their own country they may act more friendly...but inside Korea, it's a totally different matter.

RE: The Truth About Korean Girls (Seoul Datasheet)
@LoveBug: It might have been a 2-person min. place or maybe he was asking if you had a reservation? Some buffets also close for a few hours in between meal times. Many Korean BBQ restaurants require at least 2 min. orders of meat and may think it's weird for 1 person to eat meat by himself even though a big guy like yourself could easily eat 2 orders of meat. I've heard of many bars/clubs denying entry to foreigners and have seen some of the signs myself. A lot of the times the signs say "NO American soldiers". During the ebola outbreak a few years ago, this bar in Itaewon had a sign that said "No Africans due to ebola". Pretty ridiculous stuff but Koreans are quite ignorant people, perhaps even racist.

Koreans like to avoid others if possible on the subway. They will sit to give themselves at least an empty seat on both sides if possible. They sit next to a person when it's the only seat available. But since you're not a local, they may be especially wary of being spoken to in English. Koreans are scared of speaking English in front of other Koreans, which is why learning some Korean works wonders to give them enough comfort to eventually transition to English.

@bumborass: Yes, there will be lots of chicks out in December! Not as many as in summer, spring, and fall, but Itaewon is pretty crowded year-round. Also, it's not SUPER cold in December, especially early December. January is by far the coldest month here.
