There is a good reason why I plan to move to Japan within the next 5 years. You gotta admire their brand of humor really in Japan.

They never had a Christian Puritan Catholic viewpoint on sex which pretty much shamed and stifled healthy sexuality within the Christian populations - actually the Muslim and Jewish faiths do so too.

The Hinduist and Asian religions had it all out in the open and had a natural viewpoint on sexuality. When the British came to India they severely restricted all expressions and depictions of sexuality and brought in their viewpoints on it. The Americans did the same in Japan installing severe censorship which the Japanese still uphold.

Japan also proves that you can have a healthy fun view on sex while still upholding traditional perceptions on family and fidelity. There is and was never a reason for Christianity to come down so hard on sex. The funny thing is that it still lingers on will take probably centuries to be purged from the group consciousness.

There are many ways to destroy a country, though with Christianity it was not deliberate, but more endemic to the religion.

Japan is a messed up place in many ways. I would say that the people are, on average, emotionally crippled - even more so than in Western countries. Sex for most people is messed up, either non-existent, or based on porn, P4P, or fetishes.

However, it can be a great place for a foreign player, as has been discussed repeatedly on this forum. And it can even be a decent place to find what you might consider a more traditional woman and have a family. Pretty much this, thing is the 12 hours workday really isn't much work, most Jobs (save for something like IT or something) people can finish their work in about 6-7 hours, but they pretty much can't leave "until the boss leaves" Which means most of the time workers do a whole lot of nothing and save their work for later and the frequent smoke breaks(like 20 times a day, no joke) are just passing the time. THEN you have to go out drinking with the boss or co-workers sometimes, so on top of working all day, they want you to go "partying" with them.

Then that's if you have a decent job. . .

If you don't and/or your young, and not connected with rich parents, then you're working at shit job with low pay, or if you're lucky and young at a new company you pretty much get treated like crap by your "seniors" for a few years.(if you're a man especially) Mostly meaning that you can't really afford your own place in the city and are living with your parents. . .going out and partying to try and get women is truly like having another job.

There is no lack of sex for hot girls and Japanese men with looks/status/money. If you were to do a survey of people aged 18-23 worldwide I'm confident that Japan would be having just as much sex as other comparable developed countries. There are few taboos about casual sex and Tokyo offers almost unlimited anonymity and choice of high quality pussy. The idea that Japanese people aren't having sex is laughable. Go to Shibuya on a Friday/Saturday night and try to get a love hotel - they are almost always fully booked.

I don't accept the line that the Japanese aren't having kids because of the economy and money. I've even heard this from women in Japan too. It's complete bullshit. If women can have bunches of kids in impoverished African countries, the Japanese can manage at least 2. They aren't having them because it's not a priority. There is just so much fucked up cultural problems in Japan, of which the DVD room, the business soap-land culture, the host clubs, the 'head stroking cafes', the living in the office bullshit, preceded by the fill entire calendar just to keep busy whilst at school or college bullshit, can indicate. It is definitely not a financial issue. Install a 9-5 results culture, and get the parents reaffirming the 'a womans role is to get married at 20 and pop out kids' stuff rather than to work or study, and we'll see how long the population decline lasts.

I also question the 'plenty of sex' theory. The amount that constitutes plenty is rather subjective, but I doubt love-hotel sex can qualify or indicate. Making a special occasion of it implies its not plentiful. I'd argue that the more love hotels, and the more packed they are, the less aggregate sex. Residential sex is plentiful sex.
