This article got me thinking, Marriage is Obsolete, in light of the recent cultural changes in American society, what do you think America will look like by the 2030s?

In another 20 years, Baby-Boomers and Gen-Xers will be retiring and passing on, Gen-Y will have run it's course, Gen-Z will be emerging, and a future generation will be in it's early stages. What will our families, communities, men, women, and children be like?

What will our economy and government look like?

Will marriage become non-existent, replaced by perpetual singlehood and FWB-ish arrangements?

Will American women worsen? Will hook-up culture continue to thrive?

Will the views of the Manosphere/MGTOW/MRA go mainstream leading to an accessible, reactionary alternative?

This article was obviously written by a leftist, (she reduces marriage/monogamous relationships to renewing your driver's license), and I'm 180 from this worldview, but I would agree that our society slowly but surely is creeping towards the scenarios described in this article. In fact, I think much of this is already our present state. The question is, how far gone will we go? What further changes do you percieve for American society in the next 20 years or so??

I think sex work and suggar daddy-ism will increasingly become normal. In the last 10 years or so there has been a strong shift in that direction. With X Factor, the fappening, amateur video sex chats, dick pics etc. sex is just becoming another area for self-expression.

There recently was this college student who did a sex video chat in the college library which then got shared online. I think she got expelled from college, but she also received some very lucrative offers for sex / porn videos.

As normal, middle class careers are becoming increasingly hard to obtain, I think sex work will increasingly seem like a reasonable alternative.

But I don't necessarily see that as a doom & gloom scenario - I personally think this development is totally fine. I mean, look at some asian countries - sex work and escort services are a very natural part of culture there. In Thailand, China, Japan etc. "sex entertainment" is very common.

Can't say in 20 years but in 50 years I reckon things will be interesting.

A cross between that scene from Total Recall with the three breasted hooker and Mad Max. The betas nerds will essentially die off because they are not reproducing, thus bringing the average IQ down massively. Only renegade 'alphas' will be running around misusing otherwise benign technology for their own malicious means, i.e. anti gravity guns usually used to lift heavy boxes will instead be used to attack rival gang members and prostitutes.

Prostitution will be rife and actually a rite of passage for all women, otherwise they will be alienated and shamed. The only middle class left will be residing in China which will be all means prosperous like 1950s America. The United Kingdom will be essentially a giant airstrip for the European Union's mercenary army made up soldiers from the newly integrated 'European Union member states' such as Nigeria, Turkey and Somalia.

I believe nature will eventually take it's course. All the anglo world needs is some major economic catastrophe coupled with a government collapse. Then watch our women change their attitudes, and put back on their heels and dresses. When the rebuilding comes, no doubt it will be the men who rebuild. And the women will have to survive by being true to their nature and knowing their roles. I could still envision legions of feminist women who will want to take part in the restructuring. They must be seen and not heard. Preferably imprisoned.

Hopefully the future generations will become traumatized by seeing how their parents and grandparents lived their lives. They will see we were lost, unloved, misguided, hedonistic and directionless humans. Just like many of us are put off by marriage from seeing our fathers and friends being abused in the courts. Perhaps future generations, will strive for the opposite. And hopefully they will be wise enough to not allow women to vote thus preventing the cycle from happening all over again.

Though I think this may be several generations into the century. Children being born now are fucked. These kids won't be the ones to grow up and save civilization. They will have to much degenerate influence from their parents.

Or perhaps this theory is just wishful thinking on my part. Who knows, time will tell.

To know what the future holds all we need to do is look around. Its already here. It will look like a stratified third world country with ignorant people milling around, severe crime, women overvalueing themselves and rampant suicide.
I agree that prostitution will be on every corner but the possibility of a great long term relationship will be rare.
The wealthy elite will be valued in the trillions of dollars. There kids will rarely survive the excess from doing shit like flying suit base jumping in Antarctica and shit like that. Most impressive wild animals will be extinct thanks to the Chinese black market.

What will be interesting about future America is that it will have all the hallmarks of a corrupt developing world country..large poverty class, tiered "multiculture" caste with associated corruption, rampant crime, and deteriorating infrastructure but none of the benefits.

The benefits are usually better women, somewhat lower cost of living, easy access to sun/beaches/recreation that you have in many third world countries.

So future America will have all the negatives of the developing world and no pluses to any of it. It'll be interesting to see what happens for sure as long as you're not stuck there.

Who knows?

Maybe the dollar collapses as a reserve currency and shit gets real all over the continental US. Girls will have to latch onto alphas and betas to survive, because their cushy government paychecks will stop coming.

Maybe China will invade us in some way. Maybe WW III. Maybe some technology will be invented that's better than the internet and changes culture even more severely.

I used to drive myself insane trying to think about this. I got paranoid. Then I started getting in shape and getting my own shit in order.

Now, I only know one thing about the future:
I'll be laughing 'til my grave.

I think they'll be in their 60's and 70's, the youngest ones may be in their 50's? Most won't be passing on yet. Life expectancy will increase. Gen X will be the plurality or majority generation holding the reins of power. The retirement and death of the Boomers I think will only be positive for the future.

We have our hands full dealing with idiot Millennials right now that are the primary foot soldiers in decaying the social fabric of society. Continuing social stratification. The student loan bubble will burst meaning universities will have to restructure or many, many more people will not be getting college educations. Essentially I see a caste like system as has been mentioned above, both racially and with sex.

The first question is hard to guess at, but obesity has already peaked so in that regard I think in some respects they will get better. Less obesity means more sexual competition so they may get better in that regard.

Hook-up culture will continue and get worse due to the increased social stratification. Roosh talked about this in a post a while ago. Though the declining obesity may lessen its effects a little.

The answer to this question is completely unknowable. Anyone who claims otherwise is just fooling himself.

Think back to 20 years ago, 1995. Could anyone possibly describe the world we live in today with any degree of accuracy? It's a laughable idea. The Internet was just barely getting started, there was no Google, no Amazon, no Youtube and no smartphones. No one could have the least idea of the utter transformation that these things would bring to every aspect of our everyday lives -- a transformation so vast and wholesale that we still don't really comprehend it.

The only thing that is guaranteed in the coming years is that there will be new technologies that will change our lives in ways that we could not possibly guess right now. So why even speculate? Enjoy this endlessly interesting and various ride, as the human being continues its inexorable advance in its mastery of the world of materials that surrounds us.

I had no idea about this, and I bet few of you did either, but apparently Sub-Saharan Africa now has by far the highest rates of mobile finance usage in the world. Something like 12% of people in these countries use their cell phones for financial transactions. In Kenya, the rate is 58%. Hundreds of millions of people who never had access to a bank account now have one because of the massive success of mobile phone networks in the region. Who could possibly predict this stuff? And it's obviously something with enormous life-changing consequences.

That's why the one thing I don't understand is all the talk about "stratification". There may be growth in headline inequality in terms of incomes -- mostly because some of the rich are getting very rich -- but it seems blindingly obvious that the effect of new technologies is an ever greater leveling of the playing field, both in the US and worldwide. There has never been a time in human history where an African shopkeeper could get on an iPhone and have instantly about the same level of access to information, entertainment, knowledge, and variety -- not to mention porn, LOL -- as Warren Buffett or Bill Gates.

The very richest may be richer by as many orders of magnitude as you like in terms of their headline income or net worth, but in terms of what that money can actually buy, the gap has never been narrower. Today's peasants inhabit a vastly richer and more interesting world than yesterday's emperors. That's one trend I don't see changing -- though even that prediction is as worthless as any of them, LOL.

While I think most of your points are right- I don't think we've reached peak obesity. In fact I see a future where I'd say for every 1 "fat male" there will be "5 10 15 fat females". In 20 years a guy's appearance will be more integral than ever - while a girl's appearance will continue to slack/drop. I think there will come a point where there will be only mostly fat women in Western society and fat men will be shamed into losing weight/getting in shape.
