Without wishing to sound overly pedantic, I think you mean all grapplers/MMA/BJJ fighters?

I've never done any of that stuff myself or with my fighters (standup).

Yeah. It's too easy to injure the hands and fingers to ignore their development.

I always see the best results from doing tabata sprints on a treadmill. 9.0% incline, 9.0mph. 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off. Four-minute workout. Three times per week.

When I say "results" I mean BJJ stamina and fat loss.

Thanks for all the responses.

My inclination is to continue with SL5x5 plus dips/chinups as assistance exercises 3 times a week, followed by the following routine for grip and neck strength:

100 reps Neck flexion/extension off a bench: left, right, front, back
3x dead hang/pinch plate grip to failure
100 reps rubber band finger extension
100 reps gripper crush
100 reps forearm curls with a barbell
20 x 3 Wrist deviations and supination/pronation with a Sledgehammer

On 2 days in between I am thinking to alternate between option A, to go into the gym and work certain kettlebell exercises on a circuit or AMRAP basis: mainly swings, farmers walk, TGU; and option B do Hannibal's sandbag workout as listed above, maybe working in a few sprints.

If I feel I'm overtraining I might cut down to 2 strength a week or switch to 3x5.
