The fact that a woman dealing with online detractors is considered "news" makes it sounds getting criticized is the female equivalent of surviving an exploding landmine.

Also, that skank doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence as John Wayne.

The fact that her last pop single in 2013 only reached #53 on the US Hot 100, and none of the three singles from her 2014 collaborative folk album charted in the US or Australia - where she is huge - makes me wonder if this was deliberately-staged by her new record company to regain positive press and profit from victimhood.

I don't think I'm being overly-cynical. Given the current moral scold / outrage nature of social media, a female artist would be foolish not to shamelessly-exploit this, particularly when she's on the wrong side of 35.

I bet her next pop single is a body-positivity anthem, and she'll claim to have been 'inspired' by this event.

Yeah, I saw this too & considered registering her on The FAAt but this is really more about attention whoring & current social relevancy than anything else. It's not like she's blown out to Jessica Simpson or Christina Aguilera proportions. That was tough to watch.

She could have just ignored the whole thing & focussed on the cancer shit or whatever. But she didn't.

Dr. Howard, interesting you bring her up. An actress that I met a couple years ago got pregnant. She is a nobody actress. But holy fuck I never expected her to blowup like that. I mean she seemed in decent shape. I guess she was one of those gals that had to work at staying in decent shape. I mean it just boggled me. Worse yet, I don't think she recovers from it.

To my untrained eye, Clarkson's before picture shows she was a fat grenade whose pin had not yet been pulled around the upper arms and to a lesser extent the cheeks.
