That comment will cost Dahbi. After filing a complaint alleging discrimination due to the couple’s sexual orientation, the women finally received their day in court in March, more than 3 years after the 2011 incident. A few weeks later, the residing judge recommended a ruling in their favor, awarding $5,000 in damages to each of the women, a $5,000 fine to the city, and an anti-discrimination course for Dahbi.

“The recommendation […] for him to undergo some human rights training [is] for us the ultimate reward,” Spitzer told TakePart.

Under New York state law, public and private businesses are prohibited from refusing service based on sexual orientation, yet in Spitzer’s opinion, Dahbi doesn’t think he did anything wrong. Dahbi’s lawyer, Ali Najmi, claims that the driver often told heterosexual couples to quit fooling around in his cab because they were distracting his driving. “My client never once mentioned anything about their sexuality and never threw them out of the taxi,” Najmi told The New York Post.

The women exited the cab after Dahbi’s comment and refused to pay the fare, after which he drove away, hurling expletives at them in the process.

Upset over his treatment, the women contacted the Commission on Human Rights who filed a complaint with New York City’s Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings. Dahbi’s rebuttal response puts the blame on Spitzer and Thorton. He alleged the women made offensive comments about his ethnicity and that they practically disrobed during the drive.

“We’re not the type of people who would ever use the type of language or even think that way, or behave in the way that he claims we did,” said Spitzer.

Dahbi’s lawyer, Ali Najmi, claims that the driver often told heterosexual couples to quit fooling around in his cab because they were distracting his driving. “My client never once mentioned anything about their sexuality and never threw them out of the taxi,” Najmi told The New York Post.

While Dahbi claimed the couple was so entangled they were distracting his driving, Spitzer is certain she wasn’t able to give her partner more than a simple peck on the lips. Spitzer had just had some serious dental work done and full-on make out session wasn’t in the cards due to what she calls “severe mouth trauma.”

Dahbi’s response made the women even more adamant about pursuing their case. “At that point, we just said that we’re going to continue to pursue this no matter what," said Spitzer

Since the case went through an administrative court, it’s up to the Human Rights Commission to make the final decision, potentially altering the decision or the amount of damages. However, the now-engaged couple isn't too concerned concerned with receiving payment.

“This has never been about any money,” said Spizter. “We just want him to know that he did was wrong."

I will give the author some credit for at least disclosing some basic facts which gamergate as shown was previously incomprehensible to the SJWs.

"was never about the money" I call bullshit on that. I agree with the cab driver. Simply out of respect. I'd be super pissed if people were fooling around in the back of my car. Especially if I'm not one of them. Seems to me that two entitled bitches felt like that they were being incorrectly ostracised and were hell bent on making sure the cab driver paid for it. Surely it is the cabbies human rights to impose whatever rules on his taxi that are reasonable. As far as I see it distracting behaviour being banned is perfectly reasonable as it may harm other road users. Of course SJW are not even remotely reasonable.

These kinds of incidents are actually a good thing. It's basically a diversity circular firing squad. The muslim immigrant at odds with the gender-qeer white bitches. The unemployed black man hatin' on the Mexican immigrants who took his job. The Asians pissed at blacks for affirmative action taking "their" college seats. These people have nothing in common with each other but they form the footsoldiers of the left because they've been convinced by the elites that cis-het white males are the ultimate enemy.

As one of those hated cis-het white males, I sure as hell prefer intra-diversity score settling to having the diversity armada zeroed in on yours truly.

I've seen it on numerous occasions, SJW's will sanctimoniously blabber on about their causes and how much they care on social media, but in real life exhibit contempt for what they view as "the help".

These are the same people that will talk about a "living wage" of $15 per hour and are unwilling to even discuss it, while at the same time treat waiters/waitresses like utter crap.

This would have been sorted with video footage. Why would a cabbie not have such a thing in todays world? My brother did a taxi job for a while and there is nothing you can do if someone bolts from you.

With video footage you at least have a clear cut recording of what they did and who they are.

If the cabbie's version is true, then he should have won, and he had a shitty lawyer. I wonder who the lesbo's lawyer was? Maybe some high powered attorney who took it pro bono because of the potential for publicity?

Also, plenty of cabbies would pay good money on top of a free fare to watch some lesbians go at it in the back of their cab. They work long, boring hours, and that would be some quality entertainment.

There is consolation in the fact that the comments to the story published on Yahoo and elsewhere are overwhelmingly with the cabbie.

The women's names are distinctive enough. This will haunt them on Google for years.

It's a misconception that only some racial, religious, or gender/sex groups are protected in antidiscrimination law.

Males, white males, Christian males, heterosexual males, are protected groups, can sue for discrimination, and have won (e.g. Bakke).

Always remember the liberal hierarchy. It goes something like this:

Feminism>LGBT>race>religion>p.o.c. issues (latino and blacks mainly)>everyone else.

People of color issues are a seperate category from race because it's usually one or more minorities against another.

Whereas broader "race" relations is usually some minority group talking about racial discrimination from whites. That gets media attention.

Minority on minority shit aka people of color issues tends to get buried. The mainstream doesn't want to hear too much about latino and black gangbangers plugging each other over race and turf or black gangmembers preying on asian fobs in Oakland or NYC.

Remember when Eliot Rodgers went bananas? Feminists were fast to throw minorities (asians) AND the mentally ill under the bus right away in favor of a bullshit misogyny narrative over the whole incident. That's the liberal hierarchy working as intended.

When one or more of these groups go up against each other you can clearly predict which side will win based on the hierarchy.

What seems most odd to me since I'm not familiar with the judicial system is the $5000 dollar fine to the city. What exactly did he do to harm the city. What is the rationale there. This seems like the true intention here is to get the fags to scream harassment so they and corrupt politicians can profit from it. If Hilary wins I'm sure this kind of crime will be on the up

SJWs are not into multiculturalism

To them "multiculturalism" just means different food, music, clothing, dance etc. They're OK with Salsa dancing and Indian food.

It does NOT mean any culture that opposes their worldview though. Which would be basically every other culture in the world.

They have a phrase that they like to repeat in such instances "Human Rights trump Cultural rights"

They define "human rights" as the cultural norms of 2015 SJWs of course, so LGBTQIA whatever falls under "human rights" while anyone who disagrees with that is merely expressing their "cultural" opposition to "human rights" and therefore should not be listened to. The implication of course is you are "culturally conditioned" to oppose these eternally true self-evident "human rights" that no one believed in more than 12 years ago.

He should have learned the tricks and tips of the system and told he was an Islamic transgender pre-op immigrant. He should have appeared in court in a dress and full female makeup and a wig. That's how cases are won.
