Expect a lot of cheap thrills, unpredictable behavior, racism, hot bitches, unrealistic scenarios, and plenty of drugs and sex. Not surprisingly low reviews on the internet but worth checking out, so long as you can get over Kristen Bell trying to steal the spotlight from time to time.

Anyone else watch? I'm near the end of Season 1.

RE: Anyone watching House of Lies?
If anyone is looking for a show where everyone constantly attempts to out alpha each other, including the women, this is it.

Unfortunately there are some oddly beta displays from characters who end up succeeding with women on account of it.

Still lots of material to work with if you are looking to build a more alpha life frame.

"I can count on one hand, literally, the number of women I have ever met that can take that kind of advice, accept it and make use of it without their epic egos setting metaphorical fire to the conversation.

Most women "looking for advice" are in reality looking for someone to validate their cosmic victimhood, because it's not really their fault, because it's never their fault. This behavioural trait isn't absent among men, but when we fail society cares not, while when women fail there is no shortage of comforting platitudes on offer from every vector.

RE: Anyone watching House of Lies?
Yeah i did.

In the first season or two are pretty good overall but as WIA and suits pointed out, I started getting annoyed with all of the beta-ish behavior that is shown as being rewarded.

I may be reading too much into it but it seems a trend in modern media that are geared towards men, that the protagonists and writing start out pretty good then start to develop this thinly veiled yet all-too insidious warping of the lead-or any "alpha" males-towards feminist ideals.

A technique not wholly unfamiliar to any dj: match the crowd's vibe then lead them where you want to go.

Examples:

Wolverine (comics) - originally a hound dog and girl magnet (they were irresistibly attracted to him and didn't know why) due to his feral nature & in recent days (before they kill him) they morphed him into a white knighting bitch.

Don Draper- slowly morphed from grade a alpha to pathetic gamma. In the last episode he was chasing some slovenly waitress- who could easily be a feminist poster child for "you're not the best but deserve the best"

Hank Moody - a legendary lothario turned into a pedestalizing male effigy to be poked and prodded by the women in his life.

James Bond - from slaying multiple scantily clad femme fatales to... Well you've all seen skyfall :/

I can go on but frankly it makes me a bit depressed.

One theory as to the goals of this observed phenomenon is that they are to cull any such men that already exist and dissuade any who are in the process of improving themselves while pacifying & consoling the legions of gamma males who secretly hate alphas for representing what they have surrendered.

Also, would also bang the fuck out of the ex wife... Twice if she kept that KrAzY in check

The first season was good but began to get too weird in the end. The second season is just lame, I stopped watching midway.

Suits is much better in my humble opinion.
