The Latest Feminist Propoganda in India
Vogue magazine recently released some BS video that went viral. It features a leading Bollywood actress who is basically a whore for the feminist cause. I'm not sure if guys around here have seen this. Take a look at this:

I'm not sure if I should be laughing my ass off or be disgusted. I feel the bile rising from my stomach wanting to be propelled onto the screen. Looking at the comments section though, it seems like there are a good number of people who have the right idea.

Feminism is definitely going to crumble completely.Banana

Meh.

Do we really need descriptions of bodily functions every time a woman says: "I have the right to be a slut."?

Also that is India. From what I hear acid throwing, domestic violence and child-marriage are popular past-time activities there.
I wouldn't hold Indian feminists to the same standard as western ones.

And what makes you think feminism is going to "crumble completely"?

Look, I'm not defending feminism or even this video. I just think we should be a little more articulate and reasonable in our criticism. If we leave out that step we become the counter-part to the average 20 year old American feminazi who uses "man" as a prefix for uncreative neologisms.

Roosh bangs out extensive and well argued articles on a regular basis and when you come to the forum its all: "lolz, look at them bitches"

Not that a little fun can't be had, but there is a difference in ridiculing said 20 year-old first-world daddy's girl and the average struggling Indian women.

Not that I care much about Indian or western "feminists" - but this is such a typical European response to anything Indian/African. The best policy in my opinion just to ignore them. It'll probably take them a few more centuries to stop being the frogs in the well that they have been.

I agree about the fact that the criticism needs to be articulate.

I'm from India. Acid throwing is something that's very rare. I would take media reports of acid throwing with a grain of salt. Domestic violence takes place all over the world, not only in India. Child marriage is also rare and isolated to some very backward areas of India. Not saying these things don't happen, they just don't happen as much as the media would have you believe. The video above is mostly aimed at women in the cities of India who are quite brainwashed. These women have it quite good.

Feminists are feminists whether in India or elsewhere. Same bullshit. I agree that it's on a completely different level in the west but I don't think feminism is needed anywhere in the world.

My point was that the media here is peddling the feminist crap really hard. Every single news story regarding 'harassment of women' is completely blown out of proportion. I remember reading an article on ROK about some woman trying to discredit the owner of the Uber taxi service. Literally a week or so later a news story emerged about a woman who was raped by an Uber taxi driver here in India. I don't think it was merely a coincidence. Who knows if it actually even happened?

Since then, almost every week on the news there's some story of a woman being molested/raped/harassed or something.

Those were my initial thoughts when I read that reply. I still give the benefit of doubt. A lot of people out there think they know something about India from reading news reports which may or may not be true.

Ughh, this video made me cringe. It's truly disgusting. Her voice is as grating as it could possibly be.

Thank you for posting it, and no, it does not amount to trolling of any kind. It sucks to know that this garbage is making rapid inroads in India, which it clearly is.

Yeah, I got those silly ideas from "the media".

The Thomas Reuters Foundation cites India as the fourth most dangerous country for women world-wide and

India's Central Bureau of Investigation estimated that in 2009 about 90 percent of trafficking took place within the country and that there were some 3 million prostitutes, of which about 40 percent were children.

What are you arguing?

They make up those facts? Your own government exaggerates the numbers? Or that 1 million children involved in prostitution isn't so bad after all?

I'm interested.

That's an error. Feminism in places like India comes from the exact same foul sources as it does in the West, and shares the exact same evil goals. It's not as if India has some benign homegrown feminism. It's all one thing.

Did you watch the video? It is made and narrated by the educated elites. This has less than nothing to do with that stock figure of the "average struggling Indian woman" who has no time for this nonsense (for now).

It is not fundamentally different from any piece of feminist SJW propaganda that would be made in the West; in fact, it's worse in some ways because these Indian ideologues have absorbed some of the worst traits and ways of their former British masters, and because sometimes in a country like that they can move fast since the educated elites have no real competition for political power. That is what has been happening in places like Brazil, and it is likely to happen in an accelerated fashion in India as well. They are making very good use of all these stories about supposedly rampant rape etc.

Finally, it should be noted again that the video itself is particularly cringeworthy and unbearable, even by the standards we're used to. This is how some of the very worst people in the world -- true monsters -- think and sound.

I'm arguing that there's a very good chance those numbers are skewed. Again, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. In fact, I'm pretty sure it happens in all countries. Why must I believe statistics that are coming from The Thomas Reuters Foundation? I'm not really inclined to place my trust in such so called 'noble and charitable' groups. The Indian government is corrupt top to bottom. You think they can't make shit up? Also, the information in the article you cite comes from a POLL. How much can that be trusted.

And there's no need to ask questions like "Or that 1 million children involved in prostitution isn't so bad after all?" just because you don't agree with what I'm saying.

Exactly. And it's mostly not the decent Indian girls but the Americanized expats who become fanatics and proselytizers.

These people are saturated through and through with a terrible and frightening Year Zero ideology, something I wrote about in this thread a while back. Year Zero is a concept introduced by the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, but its origins really go back to the French Revolution. It amounts to the fanatical conviction that the ideology that they believe is the correct one, and all that has come before it -- the whole past -- is irrelevant and should be wiped out; start the count afresh, declare Year Zero, the world as it should be starts here and now.

These pieces of shit don't give a fuck that India is an ancient culture, no, that's all gotta be swept away in the next 5 minutes, and they would gladly press that red button to destroy all resistance. It is important to understand that this is what we're dealing with here.

^^ Good points and well-put. It will be interesting to see what happens with feminism and these fanatics in the coming years. I personally don't believe that the "pen is mightier than the sword" approach would be effective in countering them. This is a different type of enemy.

Of course I watched the video.

You make a strong case and I won't argue against it at this point. I wouldn't have reacted the way I did if such commentary had accompanied the original post.

But I won't throw everything I have come to know about India in the last decade out of the window because someone on an internet forum says: "I'm from India. I know better."

India to this day struggles with human rights violations that the average forum member can't even comprehend. In this light it's - in my opinion - not cool to judge with the same lightheartedness and humor that is customary here.

And hell, maybe I'm wrong. But I'll have to be convinced in a somewhat intelligent discussion and not because "TimeDistortion" says so.

RE: The Latest Feminist Propoganda in India
Good luck to the purveyors of this message getting Indian (and other non-western men) to buy into this.

It is one thing to talk about a given female's "choice". Doing so is legitimate, because women always have a "choice". The key is getting men to actually respect those choices. When you can make that happen, you can facilitate the growth of female empowerment. When you can get a large portion of men to take the next step and not only respect those choices made by their female peers, but privilege said choice above their own wants/needs/desires/self-interest, then you're really onto something. This is what has happened in many parts of the western world, and the end result is a degree of female dominance, not just mere empowerment.

Again, the key to it all is the men. Their acceptance of these "choices" (and willingness to privilege them) determine just how far everything goes.

Something tells me that Indian men are not going to be quite as willing to accept these "choices" in the way many western men have. Something also tells me that the average Indian woman may not be quite as eager to make the "choices" that western women and some of the more progressive, westernised urban Indian elites like Padukone are making.

Modern western feminism has its limits. Its success in the western world (where it has essentially come to dominate mainstream discourse and where men have been seen to a) fully respect and b) privilege female "choices" of the kind Padukone expresses) is due in large part to factors that are unique to the west. The western world has a host of cultural hallmarks have made it a very fertile ground for the growth of feminism. These include an unusually high value placed on individualism, the historical de-emphasis on the primacy of extended family units/kinship groups (in favor of a focus on the nuclear family), and the promotion of skepticism/challenges to religious/cultural orthodoxy (plus the general willingness to accept such challenges as legitimate and even celebrate them). There is also a history of promoting more gender equity in relationships via socially imposed monogamy, greater tolerance for patterns of late and/or non-universal marriage within society, and closer age gaps in relationships - all developments that are largely unique to the societies within the borders of the Hajnal line.

In short, if western feminism is the crop, then the western world (and, more specifically, the culture/history inherent to it) was the soil with just the right nutrients necessary to make it thrive. If that soil and those nutrients aren't there, then western feminism (and the other more progressive values that accompany it, i.e. the west's recent ideas of diversity/multiculturalism) cannot thrive either. It has already hit on a few roadblocks abroad as western/westernised elites have come to realize that the values, goals, and experiences they hold dear are not shared in or welcomed by every culture. We'll find out exactly where all of those limits are as we move further into this century.

My prediction? Progressive western elites are going to have a hard time finding the right "soil" necessary to replicate the thriving success their ideologies have found in the west. The fact that so many of the more well-educated, progressive-minded elites in non-western nations who would be the most likely to accept and promote said ideologies in their countries end up departing for the western world, leaving behind mainly those who were less open in the first place (see Brain Drain).

Westerners are exceptional, and they're probably going to have to learn that the hard way.

Is Deepika a common Indian name? I was banging a Deepika a couple of years ago, and she proved my theory that Indian girls are either super hot or disgusting. There is no middle ground. She had a meticulously groomed snatch, and she only ate western food, so there were no exotic scents exuding from her orifices.

I can't comment on the stats but a lot of those problems are probably because of poverty. Thanks to a large part to your ancestors, the country went from being one of the largest economies in world to a miserable colony where people were not allowed to boil water to make salt for their own consumption nor grow the corps they could eat while they starved. It's still a fucked up country on many accounts but quite a heaven compared to the times when millions used to die out of starvation isn't it? So yes, things are quite bad and we have a long way to go, but I think at this point we can do without your concern trolling.

Deepika can shut the fuck up. She is a typical bollywood actress, been on the casting couch numerous times and will gladly pimp herself out to ceo's and rich arab sheiks.

On a related note I just dug up this article:

http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-53-...en-2023334

Quote:"A disturbing trend of filing of false rape cases has come to the fore, mocking stringent laws adopted by the parliament last year to prevent crime against women. The Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) has come out with startling statistics showing that 53.2% of the rape cases filed between April 2013 and July 2014 in the capital were found 'false'.

The report says that between April 2013 and July 2014, of the 2,753 complaints of rape, only 1,287 cases were found to be true, and the remaining 1,464 cases were found to be false."

I'll try and dig up some other stats from Mumbai that said something to the effect of 71% of all reported rapes being false.

Total bollocks.

RE: The Latest Feminist Propoganda in India
Decent Indian chicks ARE starting to buy into this BS.

The fact that some forum members themselves write India off as some "acid throwing, rapist haven" is telling. The western ploy to weaken India, make it look like a backwards patriarchy, and thus open it up for a feminist barrage has worked somewhat. I have been going to India every year for a month or so for the last many years. Every year I am more disheartened by how feminist values have taken root.

India is ruled by the entertainers. Everyday young people are bombarded with sex and feminism. On the TV, in the movies, in their songs, on their billboards. Every year I see more ads and scenes in movies idolizing white knighting, and demonizing men.

Indian media used to be always about white knighting, sure. But it was about white knighting the pure and virtuous damsel in distress. Now it is about white knighting for sluts. I see girls get fatter and older and stay unmarried, pursuing their professions. They post statuses on Facebook about how they are independent and need no man, even though they are still living under their Father's roof and spending a lot of his money to go out late on weekends.. I see posts from "good" Indian girls about how it is a double standard to differentiate between brides to be who have slept around, and grooms who have slept around. There is an enormous spike in pre-marital relationships that last for years. The social circle I hang out with in Mumbai is full of 28 year old guys and girls that have been in relationships since college but fear marriage.

The old Indian patriarchy was all about respecting and protecting women - who played their role. Women were meant to perform the ultimate sacrifices in becoming the strongest support system first for their family, and then for their husband and his family. They were respected because they were supposed to be virtuous. So when feminist campaigns are launched in India even the old timers often are unable to see that they are not about respecting women, but forgiving non-traditional behaviors and demonizing men. So now you have the support of both the young "revolutionaries" and illusioned older people.

Yet people actually aren't HAVING as much sex as they are shown, because a lot of young people still live with their parents. This means that even when they have girlfriends, they have to wait for special occasions to have sex [vacations, lying about staying at their buddy's house, parents out of town, what people in the US would call High School stuff]. There really isn't a lot of picking up girls at the club and taking them home for a same night lay - the kind of encounter that could lead to these so called ambiguous sexual encounters. So if there is not much of a threat of this ever even occurring, then why are these kind of videos being made? It is to make girls paranoid and arrogant. To scare them into feminism. The threat need not be there, as long as their agenda is pushed. If their agenda is accepted then their political parties and commercial products are endorsed.

You watch regular daytime TV in India these days, and it's like watching nighttime TV in the US. Sex is everywhere. You are bombarded with it. But it's only for the girls right? They should have the right to seek out these male models while the men jerk it in their bathrooms. This is how the IRT comes about too. He sees sex everywhere, but can't have it. He becomes a horny schoolboy that licks the soles of girls' shoes.

Man FUCK this chick. I have never been a fan of hers. She is famous for selling sex and her body. She is an entitled cunt on the same level as Priyanka Chopra, both famous only because of their connections to male superstar Shahrukh Khan - who is the biggest movie star in the world.

Thankfully I saw many of my "hot" Indian girl-friends posting the following response to the video:

"Deepika Padukone’s video for Vogue is not empowering—it’s hypocritical" which is written by a woman.

India needs to wise up to feminism. Stay on their toes. I do my best personally to spread the truth every time I am in Mumbai. That's all I can do right now to try to save my culture.

You don't get there till you get there
