Adrenaline now that I can relate to. I find myself asking if I want to be surrounded by roided up suckers but a decent amount of good looking girls who are in groups or a place that plays good music but has a handful of girls. You have to really make an effort here to find out the good spots where the stars are aligned just right.....that or find a niche.

I might add, constructively, that if you want to improve your odds in Australia, you really have to think outside the box. Basically, aim for the girls who are rejecting Australian culture themselves (whilst not necessarily aware that is what they are doing). Personally, I think you're placing too much stock in intellect, and the pussy that you’d be getting in those circles would be sub optimal. You say gem, I say mildly socially retarded - cutting out a niche to avoid interactions that may be an affront to their sensitive nature.

Regarding the OP's video, that's schoolies, so they're a bunch of 17-18 year old girls at the peak of their beauty. Not what you typically see on a night out here. Those young girls will also fade fast. In 4-5 years time (basically by the end of undergraduate, if they go to uni) they will be a lot thicker and on a fast downward slide towards the Wall. Aussie girls do not age well at all.

Also, if you've ever had the pleasure to run into a group of those girls (I live near a uni campus, see them all the time at the start of semesters) you'll find that they like to drop nuclear bombs on your boner by laughing like hyenas, swearing like sailors, burping (and sometimes farting) like your frat bros, talking with ridiculous Aussie equivalent of vocal fry and generally behaving like your most embarrassing male friends. This is one thing that becomes really obvious on a night out if you happen to run into a sweet foreign girl like I did the other night (girl is French from Toulouse). The difference is night and day.

You've been away from Australia for too long, mate.

I'm the master of thinking outside the box. I've been to all kinds of places: live music venues, dance schools / studios, art galleries, libraries, hipster cafés, artisan markets etc. and I've had many successes from them. I kill it at dancing, in particular. I do this not simply to avoid competition from the Adonis, but mostly because they appeal to me. I can't stand clubs, primarily because of the noise, and I'm slightly hard of hearing. I'm also a 5'7" Asian who wouldn't be noticed in a club.

However, in recent years, those venues have fewer and fewer attractive girls. Most people who go there are older (some elderly, even) and the activities tend to cost some money (not much, but it adds up) that young attractive girls do not want to go.

If you like 30+ year old wall-hitting women, or socially awkward 5 (being generous here) who think they're smart but only regurgitate feminist talking points, they're a gold mine, still. I have to beat them off with a stick at dancing. There are the occasional hotties, but you have to move fast and aggressively, because that likely will be the first and last time you see them there.

Recently, I'm also seeing more and more men going to those venues, and fewer women. Imagine rocking up to a dance class - out of all places - and being greeted with a sausage fest... you know you're in Australia.

If you're tired of those and want 7+ young girls, forget those out-of-the-box venues. The duff duff clubs (a lot of pretentious hotels/pubs/restaurants in hipster suburbs are the same) are where they're at, because they can get in, drink and attention whore for free without having to do anything. And that's also where you're going up against tall, good-looking, ripped guys.

While I'm at it, the Adonis Aussie guys are not really a big problem as others have pointed out. More male competition is generally bad, sure, but it is very insignificant next to the simple fact that there are relatively so few 7+ young girls. It's hard even if you're one of those guys. Tough enough to get laid with a 7+, good luck trying to keep her more than a month.

Even girls like that are eventually brainwashed by friends and turned into sheep by the time they're legal (It's all in the culture), and if they aren't they probably fall into the long term relationship category. For the record, that's exactly the type of look I would generally go for so I would definitely notice those girls, but unfortunately they aren't easy to find and even harder to catch. You're best bet is day game in shopping malls etc but even then, the chances aren't great.

@speakeasy That girl is mainstream by Melbourne and maybe Sydney standards. Jocks here will wear rolled up skinny jeans with no socks. The real hipsters who live in hipster neighbourhoods are thinner and better facewise than average (it's a class thing), but with short hair and sometimes questionable grooming practices. On the upside they're ridiculously easy lays and down with polyamory. The best talent here are inner suburbs private school girls but they're not particularly easy, mainly date within that circle and only marginally more bearable than regular girls.





Competing here just isn't worth it, there are more productive uses of your time and energy. You can be a good looking, muscular, confident, stylish, well-traveled and what have you but unless you are a celebrity there will always be a stream of guys of higher value. I was going to post a video of a music festival in Oz but I've already been beaten to it. As for clubs, go to a pool party in the Ivy in Sydney and I promise you a good chunk of the guys there will have done a cycle of steroids. They're VERY common down there, so many of the tradies take them before summer festival season. I even got asked by customs twice when arriving in Oz if I was smuggling steroids into the country - thats how common it is.

Don't get me wrong - nowhere near a majority of Australian guys on the street are 6ft 3 and 250lbs - but the problem is in the clubs where the rare attractive girls go, a LOT of guys are.

Imagine every time you went to a bar the entire local college American football team was there. And you had to compete with them for girls' attention. Thats the best American analogy I can give for going out to the best clubs in Australia.

After spending the last 7 years in Sydney I concur with the other local posters who have summed it up pretty well.

Australia has got noticeably harder and harder work over the last 3 or 4 years to the point where it simply not worth night gaming due to the minimal return on investment.

Possibly the only redeeming feature of Sydney is the never ending supply of working holiday visa Asians which ensures a fresh supply each year, however the standard of most of these is even not that great and after 3 months of going to the ivy they will essentially be almost the same as the hardened Aussies in terms of gaming them.

The other problem that may have been mentioned but I missed it, is that Sydney and Melbourne (can't speak of other cities) are basically insular villages by any international standard. Yes, there are some smoking hot 2nd gen Asian (Vietnamese in particular) and Lebanese girls etc, and if you go to the right places you will see a lot of them, but unless you are in their demographic, geographical location and social circle you have virtually no chance of even successfully opening them.

I don't want to come off as a hater as I used to love night game here, it is getting worse and worse though.

Totally agree with the insular description, with Adelaide being no exception. Night game can be extremely problematic due to this.

Schooling tends to play a big part too, i.e. if you didn't attend the same school (private schools in particular) or mixed in the same circles during your formative years (which plays into the importance of demographics), you don't even get a look in. That's why, Adelaide essentially is just a large country town.

That being said, don't be totally disenchanted - despite the hurdles, there are some quality chicks out there that you will be successful with, as long as your game is rock solid and you're open to day game and/or online game.

Australia suffers from a few issues:

1. Recent immigration, driven by the mining boom and government policies, is predominantly male, with an increasing amount of non-Europeans. There is also a large imbalance of Indian men arriving. (However, there are more Chinese and Filipino women than men)

1.5 Many of the European women whom arrived during the GFC (2008/9) have now left, returning home to raise families in a cheaper environment.

2. All cities are incredibly sprawling and low-density. Melbourne and Sydney have about 400 people/km2, whilst Atlanta has 1300/km2, and Chicago 4,400/km2. As a result logistics can be difficult (a car is necessary), cliques form, and you are only exposed to a tiny fraction of the population when you go out.

2.5 Land prices are very high, so most young people live with their parents during college. As such many of the women are quite immature and have poor domestic skills.

However, the mining and immigration booms are rewinding, and houses are being built (though in Melbourne they are of poor quality, targeting Chinese landlords). The dollar is down sharply against the USD. Australian girls love English guys, specifically those with non-Cockney accents. American guys are less appreciated. If you are a black American guy though, you will be a huge novelty, as the only black folk here are African refugees or Aboriginals, both of whom are not present in middle class life.

I'm glad I left Australia.

It is however a paradoxical place which is quite interesting and worthy of examination:

- A place perceived as racist that is probably the most astonishingly successful example of multiculturalism on offer currently (maybe equal with Canada) and which, for all its embarrassing examples of racism reported by the international media, has no established political parties that advocate racist ideology and which doesn't have impoverished urban ethnic ghettos, and where a city of over 4 million people can have 50% born overseas or with a parent born overseas and yet absolutely thrive.

- Perceived as anti-Asian yet probably more Asians happily living there than any other Western country (except maybe NZ)

- A place perceived as quite relaxed, loose and easy going which is actually very nanny state with strict speeding limits, the world's most aggressive (and successful) anti-smoking campaign, extremely high taxes on alcohol and ticket inspectors who fine $212 for so much as placing your feet on the seats or evading a small fare. In London I was fined 20GBP for evading a 17.50GBP ticket - effectively making the fine 2.50GBP.

- A place that sometimes seems intensely parochial yet has more internationally inquisitive people than you will meet anywhere else. There are a huge number of Australians who are embarrassingly small minded comfortable living in suburbia with their 10-12 pages coverage of a sport no one else in the world cares about, and then on the other hand, you will find Australians absolutely everywhere in the world travelling to experience a different culture - the smallest towns in Eastern Europe, the steppes of Central Asia, Deep South USA.

- A nation where beer and wine are loved equally. Most nations choose.

- A country seen as a primarily desert backwater (which it is) that sees 90% of its citizens living in urban areas, the same rate as Japan and greater than almost all countries of a similar size or larger. 2 out of every 5 Australians live in Sydney or Melbourne, cities with 4million+ people. These two are bigger than most European cities with the exception of say Moscow, London and Paris.

- A place seen as v sexist and macho (it is) which is actually quite feminist. Women were first allowed the vote and to stand for office in South Australia in 1894, while only one year after Federation in 1901 franchise was extended to all women in the country. In the UK it was 1918 and it was a violent affair.

- A place with a huge number of supreme sportsmen (many of whom would make a huge impression internationally if they didn't focus on insular national sports such as Rugby League and AFL) that also has features one of the highest obesity rates in the world

- A nation with its origins as a prison dumping ground that is one of the wealthiest, crime-free and economically advanced in the international rankings.

- A place perceived as high-tax country which actually ranks in the lower third of countries in terms of taxation as a percentage of GDP. Australians pay less tax than almost all Europeans (except maybe the Swiss/Irish). Although they pay more than the US, Australians have universal health care, cheap university loans and low prison rates that make it a bargain by comparison. Living in the UK makes me wish it adopted Australia's taxation regime.

In Australia not everything is what it seems.

It's a great country in many respects.

But the women are terrible.

But yeah after reading that post by Que enspastic. I should post that IMO Australia is probably the best place in the world to live when it comes to high paying jobs, a real health care system, low tax, low crime, better quality of life, more choice when it comes to recreational activities.

I have lived in 5 countries now for longer than a year, worked in about 12 different countries. I would say that Australia is better than all of them.

But fuck me. Australian women are the bottom of the barrel. I can't stress that enough.

Yeah, to be fair this thread has been extremely negative about Australia - because its only focusing on the game side of things. Aside from when it comes to gaming women the country has a lot going for it.

I would never recommend it to any single male in their 20s, because of the dire game situation. But if someone was 40 or older and happily married they could have a fantastic quality of life in Oz. Its a great country for anyone whos not a single male aged 15-35 I think.
