For me I weigh up the value proposition for sex when on period vs without.

If its a new chick and she's hot, then I go for it.
If its a chick I'm reeling back into my rotation then I go for it.
If I haven't had it in a while, then I go for it.
If I have shit to do and can't be bothered to clean up the mess afterwards then I put it off.

It is near impossible to knock women up on the rag so just like the Team Red Wings pic above go 4 it...
