Mech, first want to apologize for thinking you were trolling me in another thread, I shouldn't have accused you, I now see you were serious reading this. I speak low-intermediate Spanish. I have classes in the mornings. Daygame will be the next thing I try. If someone is around, would be cool to meet up. I was at Gringo Tuesday yesterday. As someone who is currently mining the forum for intel on his next trip, I've found that by far the most helpful posts are just descriptions of individual guys and how they did. With enough of those data points you can start to get the sense of a place. (I'm learning that Japan is surprisingly difficult, for example)

With that in mind, here's my take on Colombia, Medellin specifically.

Context: I'm a white guy, muscular but not jacked, decent looking but definitely not a male model type (basically a taller, prettier Cr33pin). I speak fluent Spanish and have solid game. I recently finished up a month in Medellin, a semi-working vacation during which I was gaming about half-time, relying mostly on tinder/CC with the occasional nightclub or social circle girl mixed in.

Results: I was able to bang almost more than I wanted to, honestly. I could get a date any night of the week, and was converting those to SNLs at probably a 70% clip. The main thing holding me back was desire. I don't like drinking every night, and I always get complacent for a couple days after each bang. If you're aggressive, have solid game/looks, are willing to stack dates, and speak Spanish - a lot of "ifs" - then there's no reason you couldn't pull just about every day. Here's the catch though, and what Vancity and Newgame were getting at: these girls probably averaged a 6.5-7, on my own admittedly weird scale.

So for quantity it's a joke, and it's not just me saying that. Vancity, Fractal, Linux -these guys were putting up higher notch counts in a month than the average guy does in a year (Newgame is more of a mini-LTR with rotating side piece guy).

But when it comes to the top-tier girls, the ones people think about when they imagine Colombia, for me at least it's a different story. First off, don't expect to pull them from online game unless you're a top-tier guy yourself, and even then it'll be work. In my month there I'd say I pulled one solid 8 and she was from offline. Second off, don't expect them to jump right into bed with you. I got some of these girls interested, but they came with attitudes and required more time and effort than I was willing to put in on a short trip.

I'd say overall the exotic gringo factor gives you a +1 boost. In other words, if you're not regularly pulling 7's back in the States, don't expect to be pulling 8's down in Medellin. If you're interested in quantity, it's a great place. If you're interested in punching significantly above your weight, I'd say focus on daygame and be prepared to put in lots of work.

This is a good post, but I'll go one step further. I think what we need is a whole collection of pictures of the average, slightly above average, high end, and extreme high end girls in Cali, Medellin, and Bogota, so that guys who are unfamiliar with Colombia will know what they can expect to see if they go to those three cities. Both on the forum and outside of it, people hype the hell out of Colombia to the point where guys who are unfamiliar with Colombia and Latin America in general may not have a very realistic expectation of what kind of quality they can expect to see there, let alone bang. This is a forum about guys trying to get laid. So shouldn't expect anything less. Doesn't matter how awesome the topic is, it's going to get down to the 1-10 rating talk. When someone claims a woman is a 10, the thread is going to get derailed. When someone claims he saw fifty 9s in one room, the thread is going to get derailed. And you basically get the picture.

After living in Medellin for 2 years, I will chime in. A lot of guys past results won't necessarily be similar results that other guys will get. Some guys will love Medellin, others won't. You gotta try it to know.

Rating girls is always a combative exercise for a few main reasons.

1. Different tastes. Guy A thinks Girl A is hotter than Girl B, but Guy B thinks Girl B is hotter.
2. Different scale definitions/calibrations. Take 1000 girls, and suppose Guy A, B, and C have identical levels of attraction for all of them and have identical rank-orders--that is, they are in complete agreement over how attractive the girls are, and which of these girls are more attractive than others. However, they could define an "8" differently. Guy A might say girls 800-899 are 8s. Guy B might say girls 850-925 are 8s. Guy C might say girls 950-980 are 8s.
3. Rounding versus truncating. Guy A uses "8" to refer to perceived 7.5s to 8.5's. Guy B uses "8" to refer to perceived 8.0's to 8.99...'s. Guy C might be clueless and do both interchangeably.
4. Ceiling on female attractiveness. Most guys, regardless of scale/tastes, would agree that the difference in absolute attractiveness between 10s and 8s are much smaller than 9s and 7s, and subsequently 8s and 6s, etc. This is expected since a large component of beauty is just lack of flaws or extreme features, which have diminishing returns. Thus, the effects of #1-#3 are magnified on the upper end of the scale.

It's like doing construction work, where some guys are using feet and some are using meters, and there's no tape measure so there's not even common understanding on how long feet and meters are.

This doesn't make the 1-10 useless--I think it's quite useful to get a general sense of things. However, it's interesting when discussions get petty over it, as if slapping a number on something gives it an air of importance.
