As unbelievably stupid as this is, it could turn out to be unintentionally hilarious.

After all, it would most certainly star a Meghan Trainor-Rebel Wilson type surrounded by male models. And then we'd get the onslaught of articles from the usuals (HuffPo, Jizzabel, XoJane) about how it shows that 'real' and 'curvy' women can be sexy and attract hot guys.

For the record, I like the Bond reboot since Craig took the role. My only issue, like many here have stated, is that he used to slay more poon. Watching the old Connery movies shows how it's done.

It might help us win the war to lose this battle. I don't think the producers of the Bond movies would really cast a woman in the starring role but what if they did? Women aren't going to see it even with a female Bond. Men aren't going to see it because it's a joke. It would bomb and the film industry would realize putting a woman in a man's role is a stupid, unprofitable move, the kind they try to avoid like the plague.

Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic. I'm sure a lot of white knights would shell out for it.

The Bourne Identity was great when it first came out, that had Matt Damon kicking arse in a fun yet believable way, including the legendary pen fight.

At the moment the best depiction of "James Bond" isn't Daniel Craig, it's Sterling Archer.
