Nicole Richess, 20, had a drunken threesome with the two servicemen at a friend’s house and then her own home at the end of a night out.

The following day her boyfriend, Alex Ganter, heard rumours she had been unfaithful and confronted her.

Richess ‘panicked’ and made up the false claim that the two innocent men, aged 23 and 24, had forced themselves on her because she was too ashamed to tell Mr Ganter she had cheated on him.

Mr Ganter, her partner of three years, made her go to the police to report the ‘attack’.

She has now been jailed for two-and-a-half years by a judge who told Richess her lies had an ‘insidious and corrosive’ effect on public confidence and the justice system.

Two and a half years is too short a term, considering the sentence the men would have received had they been found guilty. Anyone that makes a false rape claim should receive the same sentence someone that is actually guilty of a rape would receive.

Made my day, Sonsowey. Her attorney even made the standard half-ass defenses, normally enough to excuse anything a woman does, and justice was still served.

Undoubtedly, women always get lighter sentences for the same crime.

However the principal of putting a woman in jail for the same amount of time that a rapist would go to jail is not established legal doctrine and will likely never happen.

Lying to police, falsly accusing people of crimes, etc. are in fact crimes. But they don't carry the same punishment as rape, naturally.

I personally am happy to see her in jail for a few years. I think most of the time the fact that a woman has lied about a rape accusation isn't even acknowledged. Even if it is acknowledged usually she isn't punished at all. Hopefully this sentence can have some effect of showing people that "yes, it's right to jail people for this crime".

Hopefully that will further have the effect of making dumb girls think twice before doing it. Maybe I'm just being too hopeful though.

Second, she may have been sentenced for 2.5 years, but she'll probably be out within 6-8 months. Should really be a 10 year sentence at least. False rape accusations should be a first degree felony.

Good news, however those were 2 servicemen. As I mentioned sometime before - women have to be very careful who they accuse - some men are extremely well-connected - more than it seems at first glance.

Those fake rape claims can then strongly backfire and a woman suddenly and strangely enough gets sentenced where 100 others were not.

She'll be out on tag after 15 months, possibly sooner if she is able to qualify for early release (likely). It's really not enough to act as a proper deterrent to others. These men's lives have been turned upside down, and they could have had years of their lives taken from them.

I've seen men given 5-8 years for heat of the moment drunken violence where instinct takes over, but this fat cunt actually soberly concocted a story which she stood by, despite being fully aware of the consequences of her actions and having plenty of time to think about them.

Also why is she starting her sentence in a young offenders facility? Wouldn't surprise me if that turns into how she's serving a short sentence so it's not worth transferring her.

2.5 years? What the fuck, men go to jail for 33 years, or for life, and see their youth fade away all for being the victims of false rape claims. This bitch should be locked up for life because she 1. Cheated on her BF with not only one man, but two, like the whore that she is. 2. Because she is a whale of a liar. 3. I agree with other commenters that the sentence was too lenient. It was not that long ago that a false rape accuser was being countersued and she went a killed herself (also from the UK). Not that long ago that a similar story about false rape accuser accused a 40 year old man who had not even banged her and she landed her ass in jail (again in the UK). We may have some weird rape laws but we are opening our eyes to false rape accusations and starting to deal with them in the correct manner. Next step is to release all those who have been falsely accused and jailed.

Chad Evens will never get his time back for his false rape accusation.

I didn't click on the link, but those guys may not have been much better. I know we tend to think of military guys as ripped and in shape alphas but there are plenty who are not. Even some of the younger guys can be skinny fat, or chubby, and beta or omega as hell. This is especially true in some MOS's and in certain sections like the National Guard.
