Anyone bought a mattress from Groupon?
Just curious if anyone has bought a mattress off groupon and if so if you were happy with it?

Currently I'm sleeping on a thin foam mattress from Ikea on the floor. Been happy with it til I recently stayed at a hotel with really nice beds and am realizing how valuable a good night sleep is.

I'm hesitant to buy an expensive item with no resale value that's difficult to move and ties me down but figured there's some great deals on groupon, problem is you can't try them out and it's difficult to comparison shop.

I stopped in at a few mattress shops tongiht and was told a mattress maker will make hte same mattress but name it 6 different things for 6 different stores to make it difficult to comparison shop so its hard finding something on Groupon and then going to a store to try it out.

I know many of you guys are mobile and don't like being tied down so was curious if you guys drop big money on beds or just use whatever comes with a furnished renta? Also if anyone has bought a mattress on groupon curious your thoughts.

Thanks

I agree with you a good mattress is invaluable. I personally have this http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Innovations-...B003CT37L0 and I would recommend.

When the ship them they vacuum pack them and they are much smaller then you would expect. You could look into doing that rather then purchasing a new mattress when you move.

I haven't bought a mattress from Groupon, but I bought some cheaper things and it was hit and miss.

The problem with Groupon sellers is that you can't review or rate them or their goods.

If you shop on ebay and see 99% + positive rep, you can trust the seller more or less.

If you shop on Amazon and see a 4.5 star rating for the item and a lot of great reviews, again you can more or less trust that you won't have any problems with quality.

On Groupon, I would only buy a well known brand for cheap.

I bought a memory foam mattress off of one of those coupon sites. It was dope and cost me only $300. Worth every penny.

Don't skimp on your bed and mattress. I have a queen size pillow top. It's huge and thick and super comfortable. The more comfortable your bed is the more time girls will want to spend there. Hump

Also invest in a few bed/sheet sets. I usually stick to one color so I can swap it around pretty easily as needed.

I agree, mattress is definately an important purchase not only cause good sleep is valuable but like you said, you wanna get girls in your bed and wanting to stay there have a comfortable bed and nice sheets.

That said I'm kind of in a holding pattern right now. I may buy a new place locally in the next few weeks or months, may be moving down to Charleston or maybe evne off to Hawaii. I hate dropping $2000 or more on a mattress because they have almost no reslae value and depending upon where I move it could potentially cost me as much to move the mattress as its worth so that's what's had me on the fence. I thought a good compromise would be pickup a mattress off groupon. I've been looking at these hybrid mattresses which are foam and spring/coil mix.

I've kind of settled on the beauty rest recharge series but every store has different names and even on groupon I think they have like 8 different beauty rest recharge mattreses, just trying to find the one I want. Kinda sucks you cant test them out but getting one of these mattresses for $600 or $800 as opposed to 2k in the store I'm thinking about taking the gamble.

Just get a foam mattress from costco. $400-600 ships easily in a small box or you can pick it up with a car. After you open it up it expands. All kinds of comfortable and available in different levels of firmness. Best thing is that you can return it anytime. I had one for 5 years and returned it for a full refund.

I'm currently sleeping on an ikea foam mattress. I bought it for the exact reason you mentioned, even with my queen I can roll it up, put a zip tie around it and throw it in the backseat of my car. Not sure if its foam mattresses in general or that I bought a cheap 4 inch one from ikea but feels like all the padding has already been beat out of it so that kind of turned me off to foam mattresses.

RE: Anyone bought a mattress from Groupon?
It sounds like you bought a mattress topper, not an actual memory foam mattress. Very different. A mattress should be much thicker than 4 inches and after inflation they can't really be rolled, way too thick and heavy as shit.

I'm in the memory foam camp. I also like the lack of springs. When you're piledriving a chick into the bed it helps if she's not bouncing all over the place. It does make cowgirl more difficult for the chick in my experience without the spring compression helping her to bounce up, but a girl's ass can always benefit from some squats, even if they're done mid-coitus.

When you have back and shoulder niggles and pains you will invest in memory foam mattresses without a second thought. The difference is very beneficial in getting a nights sleep and will help improve your condition.

Nope I've seen the IKEA foam and it can't compare with the 14in thick one in the link I provided. Once you unbox the bed, it expands in size and will never fit I'm the small box again. It won't ever fit in a sedan and would require a van or truck to move. Way more comfortable.
