I've found that when I refrain from masturbation I become sharper more driven and I seem to approach my girls but I also seem to have almost no sex drive. I can try to masturbate and it just does nothing. I even get bored. Porn does nothing too which is strange.

However, when I masturbate daily I become more lazy and less sharp/driven but my sex drive goes through the roof. I become very horny but I don't really want to approach and I'm a lot less dominant and more complacent.

Idealy, I'd like to have a high sex drive and be sharp/witty/driven but I'm not sure how. I've gone up to four months without masturbation and I still had a low sex drive.

Any idea?

Have you had your testosterone level checked?

Yeah, get your test levels checked. I have the same, no sex drive etc. and I got them checked and it turns out I have low test.

They drew some blood from me. Like a normal blood test.

I was going to tease you and say they stick in your ball sack, but you seemed concerned, so I didn't want to make it worse.

I would try to get everything else sorted out first before you resort to drugs.

How much quality sleep do you get? For all you know, you have sleep apnea (like I do) and that will fuck your test levels because you're not getting enough of the restorative REM sleep. If you've ever had a girl over and she tells you that you quit breathing in your sleep, that's a dead giveaway to get yourself checked out. If you don't want to go to a doctor or spend a lot of money, get one of those mouth guards that tilts your jaw forward so the soft tissues at the back of your throat don't close up and choke you out while you sleep.

Do you spend a lot of time sitting down during the day? Even getting up out of your chair every 45 minutes or so for a little walk helps, we are not meant to sit on our asses all day every day.

How much physical activity do you get? I don't care what most guys say, 45 reps in a workout three times a week is not a lot of exercise. You don't have to run a marathon, but something that gets the blood pumping twice a week will help. High intensity training (like sprints or whatever met con you feel like doing) will increase testosterone production.

Are you fat? High bodyfat percentage also prevents you from enjoying high levels of testosterone, it has a tendency to muffle whatever your baseline level is.

Are you small and weak? It's not a secret that getting bigger and stronger increases your baseline testosterone over time. That extra couple pounds of muscle encourages your body to make more testosterone to keep it there.

What does your diet look like? If you're not eating vegetables (or taking a decent amount of supplements), you're not going to have the micronutrient profile to support test production. If your diet is really low fat and high carb all the time, your test levels will also be nuked. I work with a lot of aimless guys who eat a diet of mostly noodles and rice, surprise surprise they're underweight, can't sleep for shit, and don't have the drive to chase women or do anything productive. Cholesterol is a requirement for testosterone production, you get that from animal fats and other oils.

Additionally, if you eat a lot of processed food that's high in soy, cut that shit out immediately. Look up xeno and phyto estrogen content in food and see if your regular diet is high in them. Estrogen in all forms is antithetical to high testosterone, doctors give soy to women going through menopause to ease their symptoms.

This sounds like a lot of work, but it's better to work on changing your lifestyle first. I don't know anything about you, so I listed everything that I have personally done and it has worked for me. It's best to have all your bases covered first before you resort to drugs to fix your problem. Oftentimes drugs simply treat the symptom while masking the underlying problem.

I'm not taking anything to get it higher at the moment. I will probably be going on TRT in 1-2 years.

TRT is the only thing that actually works once you got your diet/exercise/sleep/etc. under control. Don't take any pro hormones or test booster, they don't work or might make it worse.

@Hannibal, I do everything you say and I still have low test. For some people there is no easy fix and we actually have to resort to exogenous testosterone.

Yeah I know there are some guys who need to use exogenous hormones. I didn't know if the OP knew that there are other ways to increase your test, otherwise I wouldn't have written that wall of text.

I prefer to exhaust my other options before resorting to medication or a doctor. If all else fails, then yeah, get on the TRT.

Jerking off and getting laid are 2 very different things. Are you talking about Jerking off during times when you're getting laid, or are you still a virgin? When I'm getting laid a lot (have a girlfriend), I almost never jerk off, maybe even for months at a time. At times when I'm not getting laid I'll jerk off a lot. I don't think you can properly understand how your sex drive ACTUALLY is until you're having sex multiple times a day, every day for several months.

If your regular doc can't suggest anything but TRT after lifestyle changes and diet etc then I'd rather you spend money going to a TCM specialist or Natropath before pursuing TRT as a very last resort. In terms of efficacy and expense it is always cheaper to address the problem naturally before conventionally.
