I have a searched a bit but not much luck.

I have a few yahoo email addresses on my iphone. However, one of them I can't remember the password for.

I had hoped maybe it was like a mac and it would have a keychain type thing where I can find the password for it.

I have not updated to the latest iOS mainly because I heard a lot of bad things about iOS 7.

Anyone have suggestions on how I might be able to dig through my iphone and find that password?

I never wrote down the password security questions for my email account - I know I am an idiot or set up an alternate email/phone.

Any help would be appreciated.

iOS 7.x is fine; I never had any problems with it. iOS 8.x OTOH, sucks. The latest version, 8.2, adds an undeletable iWatch icon to your device and there are WiFi connectivity issues with all iOS 8.x versions. Avoid updating to 8.x if possible.

Sorry, yahoo e-mail passwords won't be saved on your keychain if your signing into it from the mail app itself.
That being said, if you signed into it through Safari web browser then there is a very good chance it will be in the keychain for Safari.

Regarding those updates, do them.
The horror stories you hear on the internet are primarily updates which have corrupted files during the installation process (you know that terms and conditions you have to agree to before you install the update? Yeah it pretty much says that might happen during installation and you'll have to erase your phone and re-install the update if it does).
The rest of the horror stories are a loud minority or some dude with an old as fuck iphone 4 from 2011 trying to install the newest iOS.
