I disagree. I like it, but more than any other show I can think of, it takes a lot of patient watching until it clicks. It doesn't help that the first season is the worst of the lot -- they were still figuring things out in the beginning (much like "Seinfeld").

If you enjoy rapid-fire dialog and "cringe-humor" like "The Office" (original British, not the American knock-off), you'll like "Veep" if you give it a chance.

As far as Louis-Dreyfus hotness, she's never done much for me. But as others have commented, I think she's done an incredible job of avoiding the wall. 20 years after "Seinfeld," she looks better than Jerry does today, maybe even better than herself 20 years ago.

Elaine is a serious WB. Shes also the only female character I've found to be genuinely funny. I never found her 'empowered woman' shit to be over the top but then again it was the 90s and they hadn't gone full retard yet. Havent watched VEEP on purpose because I know she'd piss me off and ruin for me the greatest sitcom ever made.

Maybe it's just me, but if I can see distinct similarities between a female and a male face then it's a turnoff. Here, I see Fred Savage from The Wonder Years.
