I saw tickets for Surrender with "expedited entry" for $50.00 for fight night. The only "regular" night clubs I like in Las Vegas are Surrender and XS, mostly because they are partly outdoors. Latin clubs there are really, really hit or miss. When I find a good one, I'm golden.

If you're lucky enough to get the tickets when they go on sale (i.e. win the lottery) I would recommend that you buy the most that they allow you to. Then you can sell all but 2 tickets, see the fight, and still come back home with $$$.

I've been there for two big fight nights. It's completely packed and a lot of people in the service industry really don't like the kind of people that the fights draw. There may be more guys there than during other weekends, but there is no shortage of women. Remember, it will also be Kentucky Derby weekend. I have no idea how the Kentucky Derby crowd is and I've never been there during that weekend. I do know that with all if this stuff going on, if you plan on placing a bet on the fight, you should do it no later than 1:00 P.M. in Saturday. If you plan on betting at the MGM Grand, plan on waiting in line at least three hours. No exaggeration. I'm thinking Palms will be your best bet for betting on Pacquiao and Gold Coast/Orleans will be your best for Mayweather, but as always, I will spend all day Friday shopping around for the best odds. I'm really worried about this one, but if Pacquiao wins it, the overwhelming odds will be that it will be by decision, in which case I will get a lot of my money back.

I went to Pacquiao vs Bradley 3 and didn't notice any difference. Of course that fight is small time compared to this. I think for anyone to really comment on the atmosphere they would have had to be in town for Mayweather vs De La Hoya, but even then there is no comparison. It took hours for that fight to sell out. This one will take minutes, if not seconds. Not to mention people are flocking to Vegas just to be there while it happens, let alone spectate.

Betting on Saturday will be insane with the Derby going on. I've never been there for the Derby but I can only imagine people come out of the woodwork, especially with a bunch of high rollers in town.

I've been to many fights, both live and PPV, going back far as Tyson fights (I have a relative who gets free tickets due to Gambling). At the MGM a few hours before the fight, there is a very noticeable buzz at the hotel itself. Everywhere gets pretty crowded. Actually, not pretty crowded, VERY FUCKING CROWDED. If you go there near the grand garden, there will be times you're in a crowd of people and won't be able to control where you're walking to.

Lots of people will drive from the LA and San Diego suburbs for the fight. Forget about taking a cab on fight night. Forget about eating at a real restaurant on fight night.

Like I said, many of the viewing parties at bars are sold out and there are a bunch of people outside them crowding them and trying to peek at the screens, etc through tarps put up to prevent this.

MGM its a buzz with celebs, people obsessed with celebs, really hot girls dressed up as rich guy's arm candy, etc. I personally like the scene, just for the experience. I honestly don't remember my nights out at the clubs except that we always went to places like Tryst or Blush at the Wynn (when it was still open).

Clubs are the same. Oh yeah, since the hotels are so expensive, people fit a LOT more people into one rooms and they go to the clubs in large groups.

Yep appreciate the advice man. Last time I was at Rhino I had multiple girls say they'd leave with me but then disappeared. Guess they found a guy willing to pay. It was March Madness weekend so probably not ideal setup for me.

As far as I can tell, the tickets for the viewing parties are not yet on sale. I did see something that Caesars would be showing the fight. If Caesars outbids the MGM Grand properties for the rights to show the fight, it may end up being shown at places like Paris, Caesars, Harrahs, Planet Hollywood, etc. You guys may want to choose a club to go to after the fight and buy tickets online far in advance. Otherwise, they may stop selling those tickets and you will be stuck waiting in line.

Looks like if you want to watch the fight in Vegas, you're paying $1500 for nosebleeds or $150-200 on closed circuit at an MGM property.

I heard that Blondie's in Planet Hollywood will have the game but tix are $200-$300. Free drinks included though. Location is great too.

My friend is friends with a dealer at PH and this is what they told him. So not completely verified yet.

It's just a rumor at this point, but within the next week or two all viewing parties will be announced. Remember, Planet Hollywood is a Caesars property, so if only MGM Properties are showing the fight, I actually doubt that Blondie's will have it. The easiest tickets to get should be for The Pub and/or Diablo's in Monte Carlo. They are both decent places to watch the fight. I will obviously be going because I booked and paid for everything in advance, but I haven't been in the greatest of moods lately. At least I'm lifting weights and sleeping all the time and my testosterone levels are probably increasing greatly.

There is still nothing posted about the fight viewing parties in Las Vegas and the fight is less than three weeks away. I will post as soon as I see or hear something. If you guys plan on going to a club on fight night, you probably want to buy tickets online as soon as possible. The best deal is probably Surrender, because it guarantees expedited entry. The advance tickets for the club may very well sell out.

Edit: I actually just saw a viewing party advertised off the strip at some private house. Prices started at $250.00 and included limousine to and from the party and free food and drinks. It looked like it may very well be a scam.

Tickets for the viewing parties still haven't gone on sale, but the Hyde Bellagio website is advertising the viewing party, so it's pretty much 100% that Hyde will be showing the fight. Advance tickets with expedited entry for Surrender after the fight have already sold out. You can still buy general admission tickets and if you get there early enough, waiting time should be minimal. Other top and second tier clubs will be wildly expensive and/or really difficult to get into. Marquee is having an outdoor party after the fight with Jay Z. Cover is at least $250.00. I say avoid. Jay Z. draws ugly crowds as far as I've seen.

Is the guy heavy / ghetto crowd (and general expensiveness) similar in Vegas at big UFC events? I have friends going to Vegas for UFC 189: Aldo vs. McGregor on July 11th who're trying to convince me to go.

I've got a passing interest in the fight, but I've far more interest in hooking up with girls. If its likely to be twice the price of a normal weekend in Vegas and full of dudes I'm thinking I'll give it a miss.

Probably more. For the Mayweather/Alvarez fight, which was much smaller than this, close to fight night, it would have cost me about $90,000 to sit in the first row.

Why not just pay ~50-100 to watch it on TV, if not heading to the bar? Aside from being able to tell people you were there, and watching it live of course.

That is the usual price for a fight, right? I'm basing this on what I've heard about UFC prices. Though because this is a huge event I'm not sure what the PPV price will be.

The guys paying $20k-30k per seat are the guys betting $20k-$30k per hand on the tables. Its Las Vegas, its the top of the top of the wealthy elite, they aren't going to watch it at the local bar. I've sat in $1200 seats before for a Tyson Fight, they were midlevel (200 level-ish) and they were free. A lot of tickets are comped, a lot are corporate people, some entertainers, many businessmen who just want to be there for the experience. People go from all over the world just to watch it live. I remember the time I went for the Tyson-Bruce Seldon fight, there were guys from England who rented droptop Bentleys and just drove up and down the strip all afternoon waving a British Flag. There was a LOUD chorus of boos during the Star Spangled Banner from the half British Crowd, racial slurs everywhere, etc.

The experience of being there is unreal. In fact, when I didn't go to the fights, I liked hanging out by the entrance just to see the people going to the fight, it was crazy, like a Pimps convention.

Boxing Promoters
Ticket agencies
Concierge services
Casino Hosts
Corporations/Corporate Sponsors
HBO/Showtime/Whatever
Legal and Staff gets some tickets
Fighters get their own tickets and they sell them through their entourages

I have always wanted to resell my tickets, you could probably get anywhere from 5-10x face value probably if you knew the right people. But then again, its a once in a lifetime ticket, so even if you could get 10 grand, the experience is worth more. I mean if you could say you went to the Thrilla in Manila, you'd probably want to.
