I remember in Grade 5, 5-6 of us would huddle in the corner on two PC's during computer class and instead of playing math circus we'd play that beer puzzle game. The one where the more bottles you catch the more the hottie on the side would strip. It was quite hard as the speed would increase making it very difficult to ever get her panties off.

I grew up a hacker and me and my hacker buddies would destroy BBS and chat rooms. When we were not doing that we were trading or stealing porn. Took forever to do that on 33.6 k modems. We saved our money when those 56k modems came out and we bugged out over how much faster we could create mischief.

Porn mags were easy to get because my white friends would steal it from their grandfathers or steal it from the deer lease. I would just trade them for baseball cards, cash, or baseball bats. Hustlers were the good shit. Had stacks of them I saved under a rock in a chest in the woods. I got busted in the end by my parents, for the computer porn of all things, and that caused major rifts for the rest of my life with them.

I would say good times, but I would be lying. It was bittersweet at best. Lol

Most of the girls in the photos in this thread aren't really from the dial up era, but rather the early to mid broadband era. It least for those of us who lived in a city (and not a very big city back then for me). If I recall correctly I had my first 2 Mbit line (in a dorm) around '99.

Now it's 100 Mbit even here in the poorest country in the EU (and surprisingly more reliable than any connection I've ever had back in Scandinavia).

Back in '93 the only way to access the internet in the UK was to dial the USA internationally on the 14.4 modem and connect to Compuserve (anyone remember them?). We had to pay both the phone bill and CompuServe by the minute too if I remember correctly. Kids today wouldn't believe me if I told them what it was like.

I was 12/13 at the time and it really was like having access to an amazing New World.

Took me about 2 months before I had dumb American chicks off the first chat rooms sending me home made bracelets and other shit in the post with their love letters.
