Before the emails are released, they have to sift through them to make sure no sensitive information is released that could hurt the U.S.

The fact that they contain sensitive material on her personal server means what she did was clearly illegal. FBI should've raided her house and confiscated the server by now. She clearly had her own setup so she could delete whatever emails she wanted in the future.

This bitch should immediately be disqualified from public office and probably get jail time.

I know none of that will happen, but she clearly intended to hide her own info.

I get a feeling this is an issue nobody really gives a shit about in the end, and they're focusing on that , monopolizing media time, instead of focusing on important matters. Why don't someone asks her directly: what are you going to do for men if you get elected?

This is a pattern with the Clintons. They're always doing shady shit like this.

Hillary Clinton Used Personal Email Account at State Dept., Possibly Breaking Rules
This latest article about her deleting 30,000 personal email is atrocious. How can any man vote for this broad?

http://nypost.com/2015/03/10/hillary-con...ent-email/

“The server will remain private,” she declared.

Hmmm....Ok so this is a server that's just for storing private emails? Not Business?

Clinton said “about half” her 60,000 emails were personal. “They had nothing to do with work…I didn’t see any reason to keep them,” she added.

Hmmm...Ok, so the server was intended for private use and will be private because of that, but her justification for deleting all her "personal" emails was they had nothing to do with business????

You can't have it both ways.

"..She let her spokesman call on the first questioner – it brought a softball from a Turkish reporter about whether she would have been treated differently if she wasn’t a woman – but then she mostly took charge of the press conference herself.

Yeah, she was in control with that question being asked to begin with. Ohhh....they're picking on me because I'm a woman.

Personally, I could care less about the emails and the secrecy. That's standard practice and I would do the same, maybe worse, but that last part about being "picked on because she's a woman", makes my blood boil.

RE: Hillary Clinton Used Personal Email Account at State Dept., Possibly Breaking Rules
^ I was also particularly enraged at her press conference because 1. She has no idea how email works and 2. Her treatment of the position of secretary of state as casual.

1. She has no idea how email works: She was like "every federal employee chooses what they keep or delete or put on record"...yeah and those employees are using email servers that are backed up at least daily, and likely have the emails archived instead of deleted. When I worked for the government and asked out IT guys about email policy they said there is no 'real' delete button. Everything is archived, especially the emails. Next I want her to say something like "I had to delete the emails because they were taking up too much space on the hard drive" like its 1995 and she doesn't want to max out her 200mb of space.

2. Her causal treatment of being the secretary of mother fucking state. What kind of balls must you have to think that its inconvenient to use your work email. I was barely involved in drafting legislation and we were constantly told 'delete nothing, archive everything, we should never see a gov't employees personal email address on exchanges lest we all be fired' she was probably opening emails from nigerian princes and scrolling through ebay handbags between reading emails about people being shot in benghazi. The arrogance of this woman oozes from every pore, like she is "too cool" for the rules.

If the face of team Hilary is this smug, i can only imagine what the behind the scenes folks and underlings are like. I worked / dealt with the 'generals and lieutenants' of Scott Walker and they were him amplified by 10x because they didn't have to be in front of a camera and so were low on bullshit and high on steam rolling the fuck out of the opposition. Hilary's aides were probably the ones carving their initials in the coliseum.

looking for a new signature.

RE: Hillary Clinton Used Personal Email Account at State Dept., Possibly Breaking Rules
I am surprised everybody has missed the obvious of thus as being a stunt to propel her back into the discussion in the mainstream.

Look at how her press conference was conviently at the UN to appear "Presedential" and not some random hotel conference room, also look at her and how much "younger" she looks. I always maintained that if she lost some of her weight and attempted to look more youthful she would run.

The Bengahzi situation aged her 10 years overnight. How we almost forget how the angry and crazed Hillary rolled off into the night 3 years ago looking like a crotchy old witch:

You can't have some old hag run for office. She will attempt to look as youthful as she can and has already taken those steps (my guess with HGH of some sort).

She will get these grenades from factions who do not want her in power. Once she gets the support of corporate America though these types of stories will be bridge under the water. This pales in comparison to Bengahzi IMO.

Where was the uproar when she had the position? It could of been brought up to her at any step during her tenure about it not being smart using some bogus AOL home setup to send sensitive Govt emails. All that going on ina climatw wjth Wikileaka ans hacking ans she still gave zero fucks, she gave no fucks because she knew she wluld never get burned from it.

This is all just stuns to get her name out, she is not giving up emails that put her bad light so what are we going to see? If it was dead serious the FBI would seize them all using their powers. All just a dog and pony show to get people talking about her before the campaign drops.

^^^^

She's never really left the political discussion since Obama brought her back in to the fold. Also the reason she was at the UN was because she was there anyway to make some women's rights speech. I suppose the stunt angle here is that hoping her women's rights speech would steal some of the attention away from the email presser, and really the opposite happened.

I'd be interested to see how this goes, I haven't read up on the way the usual suspects in the media are handling this. My initial view is that if they hold her feet to the fire, it may be because they be trying to amp up the volume and push Warren as their nominee (God forbid).

RE: Hillary Clinton Used Personal Email Account at State Dept., Possibly Breaking
It has to be said...

Hillary has nothing going for her. Every high profile job she got was through connections from her husband, then she fucked everything up because she has no skills to do anything. She isn't that smart, she's a bad politician, she's a bad manager...she has nothing. The only reason we know who she is, the only reason she was a senator and secretary of state, is because Bill is talented and she used him and his people to get ahead.

No one can point to a single accomplishment in her life. Job positions aren't accomplishments (especially when your husbands connections got you there).

When she was first lady, Bill put her in charge of health care reform, and it was a total disaster! I think he lost the midterms because of it. She totally fucked it up. She did everything in secret, and pissed everyone one off with her overbearing nature.

What were her accomplishments as Senator? <crickets chirping>. She just showed up I guess.

She was a shoe in for president in 2008 and she fucked it up and lost to some no name upstart junior senator community organizer.

As secretary of State, she acted like a retard when Benghazi when haywire. She said it was because of some movie (it wasn't).

She kept this illegal email system so no one would could subpoena her emails or FOIA her emails, and so historians don't have a proper record of what State was up to when she was in charge. Then she handles the press conference like a retard. tard

I'm going to say it...

The empress has no clothes Shudder

This is a dumb unlikeable broad who nags her talented husband into putting her into important positions, and all she does in those positions is prove her incompetence.

She claimed the email server was used for Bill too, but now comes a story that Bill doesn't use email, at all! He's supposedly sent only two emails in his life! I can hardly imagine how this can be. He must obviously be perfectly able to understand the usefulness of it, but he's made a point to have secretaries and other underlings do all of his electronic communication for him. Weird!

Obama got elected twice and had less. Which is not to defend Obama or Hilary, rather to point out the lunacy of the voting US public. Obama never managed a single employee, never had to run a single for-profit business in his life, never (unlike most prior US Presidents) had a gun put in his hands with at least the possibility of having to fire it in the US's name. Insofar as the job of the Presidency has qualifications of being able to accept and handle colossal pressure and being able to manage literally an entire government, Obama's CV displays precisely none of them.

And the US as a nation saw fit to appoint him to a role that has arguably the greatest responsibilities of the Western world attached to it.
Twice.
And in doing so, passing over, respectively
(a) a Vietnam War veteran (and POW) and career politician, and
(b) a venture capitalist with a net worth in excess of $200 million as a result of his business career, including being the co-founder of the business that generated most of that wealth.

Say what you will about the notability of these achievements, they are still achievements in responsibility - both of which by definition dwarf Obama's precisely 0 achievements in managing others or risking his own skin in a game.

The US Presidency in the past ten years hasn't had much of a correlation with relevant experience. Don't see that as a significant impediment to the House of Clinton being Restored To Its Rightful Place at 1600 Pennsylvania.

RE: Hillary Clinton Used Personal Email Account at State Dept., Possibly Breaking Rules
I just posted this in the other thread about Hillary and women running the world which was the wrong thread:

Meanwhile:

http://rt.com/news/238241-canadian-charg...-passcode/

Canadian faces $20k fine, jail time for refusing to unlock phone during airport check

Quote:A 38-year old Canadian citizen is facing up to a year in jail and a fine of up to 25,000 Canadian dollars for refusing to unlock his cell and thus “obstructing” an in-depth security screening by the border service officials at the Halifax airport.

Alain Philippon from Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec, has been detained and charged with “obstructing border officials” after he refused to provide his BlackBerry phone password to Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers upon his arrival from the Dominican Republic this week.

“Philippon refused to divulge the passcode for his cell phone, preventing border services officers from their duties,” the Canada Border Services Agency told AFP.

It was not announced why the Quebecan was selected for an in-depth examination, but the agency says that the Customs Act allows border officials to examine “all goods and conveyances including electronic devices, such as cell phones and laptops.”

As a result, the man was charged under section 153.1 (b) of the Customs Act. After being let out on bail, and having lost the privilege of using his seized cell phone, Philippon is to appear in court in May to face charges that could see him barred for up to a year and a CAD$25,000 fine.

Philippon told local media he would fight the charges, saying that he refused to provide the password because his smartphone data is “personal.”

“Officers are trained in examination, investigative and questioning techniques,” a border services spokesperson wrote in an email to CBC. “To divulge our approach may render our techniques ineffective. Officers are trained to look for indicators of deception and use a risk management approach in determining which goods may warrant a closer look.”

Philippon's case may make him the first person in Canada to test the depth and the scope of the applicable law. “This is a question that has not been litigated in Canada, whether they can actually demand you to hand over your password to allow them to unlock the device,” Rob Currie, director of the Law and Technology Institute at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University told CBC.

“[It's] one thing for them to inspect it, another thing for them to compel you to help them,” Currie added.

Hmmm...Dodgy

After any of you guys seen the show Madame Secretary? I am at my parents house and my mom has been watching it. I suggest you guys check it out for no other reason than it is obvious pre-emptive propaganda to prime the audience for Hillary Clintons Presidency. The main actress is a hotter looking woman playing the Secretary of State and the show has huge feminist overtones and events related to Clintons State Dept. term.

That is why my mom loves the show, she is a dyed in the wool feminist and liberal.

Women these days think they can shop for a man like they shop for a purse or a pair of shoes. Sorry ladies. It doesn't work that way.

Women are like sandwiches. All men love sandwiches. That's a given. But sandwiches are only good when they're fresh. Nobody wants a day old sandwich. The bread is all soggy and the meat is spoiled.

Her explanation was utter bullshit. You can access the unclassified State Department email domain from any device using a fob token and their web-based Outlook. So she could have used her own computer and a state.gov email address on the road.

Plus, it's not as if the Secretary of State doesn't have a retinue of bag-carriers and aides.

As I said before, I think she'll get us into WW III, because she'll be so eager to play the Iron Lady that she'll miscalculate in some crisis with Putin or Xi and get the world fried.

They crucified General Petraeus for less (holding "secret" documents in his private residence and giving some to the broad he was banging on the side). He didn't get jail-time though.

This to me is a lot worse in many ways (no hyperbole). She's signed all these government contracts saying all emails should go through them, meanwhile she has a separate private email server that nobody knows about for years, and she won't give it up? How many thousands of emails did she send that had at least some confidential classified topics in them? And she deleted ~30,000 "personal" emails bc they were personal on a personal server that was set up specifically for those types? She can't be serious.

She's getting the "pussy pass" for the moment but given her ridiculous press conference I think eventually even the mainstream news will have to start digging in (probably when the story has died down a bit - they will wait it out and hope it blows over then say it's just a "slap on the wrist" kinda thing with misogynist undertones).

Spot on I'd rep you again if I could. The mainstream press (outside Fox, the WSJ and NY Post) will absolutely follow this line because she's a female Democratic candidate.

Trouble is, if Hillary does falter (which she should given her odious past doings and relationships, including Whitewater, the Vince Foster episode (she bullied him into suicide), Benghazi and now this (among other things)) the Dems and mainstream media then have Fauxcahontas (Elizabeth Warren) in the on-deck circle.

So we're probably getting a woman president whether we like it or not.

I might rather have Warren actually as she isn't such a warmonger like Hillary and would be more likely to battle the neo-cons and their quest to invade Iran and start WWIII.

Most of her stuff should have been on the classified side anyways. Any policy discussions, movement planning, reports of discussions with foreigners.

There's not much that a Secretary of State discusses that isn't classified. Maybe some personnel decisions and procurement issues aren't.

You have to access the classified side on a dedicated device.

Quote: (CNN)Hillary Clinton permanently deleted all the emails on the private server she used to do official business as secretary of state, the Republican lawmaker who subpoenaed the emails said late Friday.

Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, chairman of the House committee investigating the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, said Clinton's lawyer informed him of the news.

Gowdy had also asked that Clinton turn over her server to the State Department inspector general for an independent review.

Clinton's lawyer, David Kendall, said no.

In his letter to Gowdy, Kendall said the former secretary of state "chose not to keep her non-record personal emails."

"Thus, there are no ... e-mails from Secretary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state on the server for any review, even if such review were appropriate or legally authorized," he wrote.

But she "has maintained and preserved copies" of work-related, or potentially work-related emails she turned over to the State Department late last year. Kendall did not specify whether the emails were kept in paper or digital form.

In December, Clinton turned over 55,000 pages of emails to the State Department. Clinton has asked that those roughly 30,000 emails be released to the public. State Department officials have said they will release them after they have been reviewed.

"Representatives of Secretary Clinton's office have been in touch with the committee and the State Department to make clear that she would like her emails made public as soon as possible and that she's ready and willing to come and appear herself for a hearing open to the American public," Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said in an email.

Gowdy said it wasn't clear when Clinton erased the server, but it appears to have been wiped after October 2014, when the State Department asked Clinton to return her official emails to the department.

The chairman subpoenaed Clinton's emails regarding Libya and, last month, the State Department turned over about 300 emails to the committee.

Clinton did not have an official government email account, so her personal server was the primary repository for her emails during her time as secretary of state.

"Not only was the secretary the sole arbiter of what was a public record, she also summarily decided to delete all emails from her server, ensuring no one could check behind her analysis in the public interest," Gowdy said.

But in his letter, Kendall said the federal law governing record retention requires that each federal employee individually decide what emails must be preserved.

"The manner in which Secretary Clinton assisted the State Department in fulfilling its responsibilities under the act is consistent with the obligations of every federal employee," Kendall wrote.

Gowdy has also subpoenaed the emails of about a dozen Clinton aides at the State Department. That request is still outstanding.

Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, chairman of the House committee investigating the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, said Clinton's lawyer informed him of the news.

I love Trey Gowdy. Its disheartening that there is only 1 person in the senate and house that does their job like they are getting paid to do it.

looking for a new signature.
