Aside from that he is not some kind of real guru, he is more of a businessman:



He is a very successful yoga studio owner banging his clients similarly to a yoga teacher or fitness trainer banging his - just on a bigger scale.
I would be careful when accusing the guy of rape - this is the fake rape culture in the US we are talking about here.

What it is about yoga that attracts mostly white female practitioners? I don't know any guys that do yoga. Hell, the Indians I've known don't even do it. What is the strong draw of yoga for yuppie white females?

Will cosign this and add that I personally know a white hippie yoga instructor, it's amazing how all the lizards who do yoga are the same.

Even at my gym it's mostly white women, throw in a handful of latin and asian girls.

It's just the Fitness Trainer complex. This is nothing new, it happens in every local gym that services women (lol).

Any position of direct authority or control or leadership over a woman is a turn on, alone, then add to it the fact that he's seeing her when she's "vulnerable" and sweaty/unattractive. How non-judgmental of him! Also add to it the fact that the trainer is exerting this control over her physically in form of a workout. This one Indian guy who did the documentary Kumare while faking an Indian guru did just that, but only on a bigger scale. Here you have a tall, handsome, intelligent man who claims to be a guru. I watched the documentary and he could have easily banged dozens of his clients/followers and sold it as some kind of spiritual experience. Also see Pilates, Zumba, Stripper Pole stuff. Some of it takes strength and endurance, but if them bitches really wanted to lose weight, they'd drop heavily flavored greek yogurt, carb heavy salads, stop instagramming every meal @ the hot new restaurant, and pick up some weights and high intensity interval training.

The fact that the top yoga chicks are typically skinny minnies in flattering clothing feeds into the idea that these 28 year old chicks can lose the spare tire and attract the higher ups @ the company or go lateral at some start up and be an account exec or head of HR. If she sees a hot chick do it, she assumes by doing the same thing, she'll become a hot chick.

There's also a contingent of yuppie women that are spiritually bereft since they left the "non-progressive" church and are now more into "spirituality". Astrology, Tarot Card reading, all that new age stuff feeds chicks right into Yoga, but not into Hinduism. They like to meditate, but they don't like the structure of Buddhism.

It's like everything else in a woman's life. Pick the shit that they like, and discard all the responsibility that comes with it. Wants the wedding but not the marriage.

There are some observable benefits in regards to yoga and longevity similar to meditation which has been proven to be somewhat effective even by peer-reviewed studies. It's not much use if you are overweight though.

Bikram looks phenomenal for a guy that's about to turn 70. I had no idea he was that old.

Now that I'm reading a bit about him, he's living the life. Mansion in Beverly Hills, a fleet of Rolls Royces, surrounded by young women. Sounds like he's quite a flamboyant character too. Gotta give the guy props for his accomplishments. He found a niche and marketed it to the max. ANY dude from India could've did what he did. I remember back in the 90s when that brotha Billy Banks was the rage with his "Taebo" workout. Every ten years yuppy, LA white girls latch on to some new workout trend. Now it's Crossfit.

Yeah - I went to one of those once and I was totally done - it was extremely difficult. But at the same time I did not want to do it again. It felt incredibly effeminate to me spreading your ass-cheeks on the floor etc. I just felt uncomfortable despite being surrounded by women.

I don't deny the effectiveness, but it's just not a good fit to me.

I agree Yoga is not easy. I find women get a competitive edge because of the bone and body structure, its a lot easier for them to get into the positions. But man I've done it only three times now and I struggle with it, very intense.

I don't get sore from it like I do lifting weights but I generally feel worked out and relaxed after.

Yoga, as I understand it, was developed as part of the Indian Martial Arts and meditative practice.
