Coming from someone who goes after girls with no high school education and teaches English. Believe it or not, having a lot of money helps with getting hotter girls, especially in Asia. I can confirm that English-teaching foreign guys are considered bottom of the barrel by teen and twenties Indonesian girls. In other words, that job in particular lowers SMV. No need to hamster, especially since you successfully overcame that liability.

Each afternoon I would take the free tour at FoxConn. During the tour, while the guide wasn't looking, I would stash my phone number in the pockets of those white trench coats the girls were wearing. I've been here a decade. I know hardly any girls who go to clubs - I meet them on campus, in the street, and through families/social circle. Rich, poor, the girls prescreen foreigners. Have to also disagree about Eng teachers being intrinsically low-value in Indo/SE Asia.

We should make the distinction between...

1)Girls not liking the typical English teacher

and

2)Girls seeing the profession of 'English Teacher' as a deal-breaker

1) maybe true. Because, why? Because, look at the typical English teacher. But 2) isnt, except for a small subset who are desperate to "marry up" ASAP and primarily concerned with your income.

I absolutely guarantee you can be an English teacher and smash at a high level in Indo/SE Asia. "High level" being true stunners and some girls from high society/wealth. Trust me. But you have to have... drumroll... game. And smart positioning/social calibration. Helps if you can afford a nice shirt and your own non-rathole apartment though too.

Teachers are a medium, not unlike the rice farmer or the street food vendor trusted to provide the rice, the food or sufficient educational attainment.

In fact, the Chinese principles that pertain to education are so far bastardised that most countries without exposure to western standard (E.g. Thailand and Mainland China), educational attainment generally does not correlate to intelligence.

I'm going off topic here, but you have generations of Chinese business moguls who spawn spoilt, idiotic children because they (or their children with daddy's disposable cash) pretty bought their degrees. There's a big reason why in Taiwan and Hong Kong why they are importing professionals from the Anglosphere and not China.

Christ, grab some Taiwan beers and head to Luxy/Roxy99. Fun as hell. I mean this in a positive way OP, just loosen up a bit.

As with the being a teacher. Yes and no. Being a teacher is low value in Korea. In Taiwan, it's 'meh', but you have to remember you're gonna be on a high middle-class wage. It depends how you carry it with your frame. 'Teaching kiddies at Hess' is gonna be received a whole lot differently than 'preparing students for IELTS.'. But yeah, in Taiwan, it's certainly not a demonstration of high value on it's own.

In Bangkok though, different story. Teach at my school and you're in no way getting looked down on by anyone. One of the first things I mention to girls is the name of my school, then they open up.

The wage doesn't go back into English pounds that well, but you have to remember what it's worth in Thai society. The brother of a girl I'm dating here speaks six languages and works for Four Seasons, travelling around Asia. I earn more than him. Get a TEFL job in Bangkok of 50,000+ and you have a strong upper middle-class wage and a stake in society.

Get a 30,000 a month job, and well, yeah, you can't expect to be impressing anyone (despite it surprisingly being a very strong salary for a middle-class Thai)

Always love it when guys like OP and his teacher bros do their chest-thumping monkey routine at the clubs here, expecting girls to jump on their dicks immediately. Being an English teacher is not a total dealbreaker but by saying that you are one you are not doing yourself any favors. I'd add that so much of it is about YOUR vibe and how you position yourself and frame things.

If you're an awesome, together dude with style, game, resources, and attractive vibe, do you honestly think the two sentences that come out of your mouth about your profession are going to be a deal-breaker? It might raise an eyebrow but if you're obviously oozing value she'll rationalise it as "well.. nooo he's not like those guys... he's a COOL teacher...", even if the profession has a dubious rep in that country.

For what it's worth, most of the top players I knew in Japan taught English. They had more time to game and more time to bang.

I suspect if a Korean girl didn't dig you, it had nothing to do with your being a teacher. Same goes for the Taiwanese.

All women respond well to caveman game, nothing to do with intelligence. That's actually a really good observation. Never heard it put into words quite like that, but its totally on point. This is the crucial understanding to calibrating your approach game in Asia.
