She's 48. That's not young by any means, but not exactly grandma age either. She didn't age well.

She has the access and money to the best anti-aging and plastic surgery on the planet, but it still couldn't stop the horrible effects of mother nature.

I'm all for women taking care of themselves, but once the wall hits, is it so bad to have a humble life with your family, to love your kids and husband? If you want attention, write a good book or come up with some great ideas, but to do a sexy photoshoot while looking like rotten meat is just sad and maybe indicative of a mental disorder.

The thing to remember is that most of these supermodels have had plastic surgery performed after each and every photo shoot they've ever done, via airbrushing and photo shop. She didn't age well. But I'm betting she's never had a tummy tuck or a thigh lift. Once she gets them, which I'm sure will now happen, things will improve.

This is why you guys shouldn't marry too young. At 48 you can still be considered handsome but your wife of the same age will look like hell and be WNB. Even Cindy Crawford, considered by many to be the most beautiful woman in the world in her prime, turned into a shriveled hag.

You need to be old enough to allow a sufficient age difference between you and your lady before making a lifetime commitment. At least 10 years.

Also - blessed are the wife goggles - her husband married her when she was in her early 30s and he might have known her before that personally. She is still married after all those years - too bad that she does not know when to stop trying to be a hot teenager.

But what few guys realize is that a very large fraction of so-called "candids" are shopped by trolls of various kinds to make them look worse. Of course these shopped uglies are always presented as "unretouched" and the "true face/body" of celeb XYZ.

There is a natural human tendency to suspect -- and almost wish it so -- that the truth is much worse than anyone imagines; and to jump to the idea that the ugliest representation is closest to reality. But this is usually not the case, whether it's about celebrity pics or quite a few other things for that matter.

AB, I thought that pic was shopped the moment I saw it, so I completely believe the photographer in this case. Also, those who published the pic falsely claimed it was authorized; it was not.

The bikini pic is very likely lightly and expertly shopped as well; the truth is somewhere in the middle. However, it should be noted that the fingers are seen in the foreground and at higher resolution; and different parts of the body wrinkle and sag at different rates related to sunscreen usage, and just basic physics. One of the most exquisitely depraved (and sometimes enraging) sights in the world is a perfectly smooth and inviting ass in doggie on a woman whose body otherwise shows the ravages of time. The worst part is that these same women framed it as supportive of Crawford. Heralding this photo as “truth” says more about what drives some women than whether Crawford is still a stunner. Spoiler, she is. This reaction is a fundamental reason why more legislation won’t bring equity to western women. The real gap between men and women is the one not often discussed. It’s the envy gap.

“No matter where the photo came from, it’s an enlightenment – we’ve always known Crawford was beautiful, but seeing her like this only makes us love her more,” Marie Claire posted on its website. Women tripping over themselves to “congratulate” Crawford for a solitary unflattering photo aren’t supporting her. If love is only doled out to other women from women when they are at their worst, one might worry at incentive system they’re creating. Cindy Crawford is quite aware of the dynamic and does the mandatory self-denigration ritual to remain acceptable to other women.

“Even I don’t wake up looking like Cindy Crawford,” People Magazine quoted Crawford from a past interview, in its story about the unflattering photo. “I have fat days, ugly days, blimp days, days that I just feel terrible about myself. It’s depressing to watch women regress to redistributive tendencies instead of taking their own initiative to control what they can and let go of what they cannot. There is little value in worrying about what Cindy Crawford looks like, and men as a group seem to largely understand this. Women instead enforce the idea that only “good” woman is one who lowers her expectations to never exceed the lowest common denominator amongst the female population. Remember how a bad photo makes them “love” Crawford more.

The desperate need to attack accomplished women because they may make other women feel bad about their own accomplishments is a predominately female trait at the crux of what holds women back from assuming a sane and equal partnership in society. Until women are capable of admiring and aspiring towards those who achieve more than they can at that moment, they will remain behind.

The wage gap is really the envy gap. Spending less time on envy and more on individual effort will close more gaps than seeking government intervention. Looks like science backs her up. From a Psychology Today article discussing research into how women handle competition from other women:

This is absolutely true regarding women - they hate if one of them rises above them. They want every woman to be equal or lower.

Of course the article spouts the usual wage gap crap and gender equality, because in effect women envy men, but want their own man to be above them in all terms. In contrast they hate it if any other woman is more beautiful, more slim, more intelligent, richer etc.

That is female nature that author stumbled upon and you cannot "eradicate" that cupcake. It is part of their hardwired makeup just as men are hardwired to compete, women are set to tear down and equalize. There is a good reason, why they are preferably left out of power, because they are mostly shitty rulers and managers due to their internal characteristics.

As far as the pic being deliberately retouched to be worse than reality - who knows? Would not surprise me much. There is another beach pic some time ago, which showed the same thing. But I guess since a crappy pic of Cindy Crawford is worth much more than a pretty one there is ample motivation for that.

They are especially envious of their girlfriends with "good" men. That's why it's so easy to bang the friends. They see it as validating their thoughts of being more beautiful, more desirable, etc. than the friend when they bang that friend's boyfriend/husband/fwb.

I do notice they (media) have been doing the same thing with Elle Macpherson, posting all kinds of photos every once in a while and presenting her as looking almost as good as when she was 20. I have wondered, is it real, or is there lots of editing going on?
