Smile conditioning yourself
This is for the guys that pussy out every now and then

I've been wearing two rubberbands on my wrist the past few days. Anytime I act in a negative way I pull them back and smack my wrist with them. Basically anytime I see a girl and don't say hey to her I smack my wrist. I saw really good results the other day and I even got into a few good conversations with a Couple girls. I didn't close any of them so from now on ill add not going for the close or running out steam as a smackable offence.

Other smackable offences include
Negative thoughts
Overthinking shit
Being a pussys
Weak eye contact
Saying certain words such as cool and alright too often
Etc

I figured I would share this since its working well for me right now.

I got this idea from some science experiment that punished bad behavior with pain.

Great idea. Sports psychologists recommend a key word or other symbol you can readily access to get back into the contest and refocus when competing and in practice.

What clarity do you desire? Get some rubberbands. Know the game. Knowing the game and acting on it without even thinking consciously is where we desire to be.
Give yourself a painful thwack every time you do some beta shyt at the club or in the presence of a female.

After a while, you will be conditioned to react in the favourable fashion since your brain will not want to experience that pain.

If you are even tech savvy, you can hook up a device that can give you small electric shocks every time you do some beta shyt. Try those electric dog collars. See if you can convert it into a bracelet unless you are comfortable with being seen with a choker-like ornament on your person.

I hope that was of help.

Heh, Kevin Garnett used to do this when he played for the T'Wolves.

There's clinical evidence that this type of negative reinforcement actually works for habit formation. It might not be a bad idea to slap a rubber band on my wrist when I go out, maybe I'll try it.

RE: conditioning yourself
I remember hearing a variation on this concept in a story about Magic Johnson, the legendary basketball player:

Supposedly, he used to "give himself five" every time he missed a free throw or jump shot during training-drill sets. "Giving himself five" meant doing five push-ups right there and then. Not only did it make him miss fewer practice shots, it made him cut-up in the process.

It might not be practical to do five push-ups right in the bar but, who knows, maybe it is. Or, you could tally them up for the night and do them at home.

Worth your consideration.

Pity it didn't help him last night against L-train and Wade.

Apologies, I didn't end up quoting what I intended. I was hope for elaboration on this:

It's just about setting a routine that your body and mind recognize to get you back into focus. I played high level tennis and hockey growing up, we did a lot more visualization in tennis, in game routines to get your mind off blowing a shot or the stress of it being a key point, you bounce the ball pre serve a set amount of times, pre return i'd spin my racket x amount of times. Your body just gets into the habit of doing them and your mind goes into autopilot. In sports over thinking is a killer, most times the skill level difference between 2 high level athletes isn't much different but their ability to cope, refocus and react makes all the difference. Like when Nash steps upto the freethrow line to drain a couple, he takes an imaginary shot, he's taken that shot a million times he's not getting a feel for it with that action, its just what he does it clears his head leaves his body to react as its trained to react. Much the same concept with a verbal anchor, could be anything random could be act specific but it acts in the same way as a non verbal anchor.

RE: conditioning yourself
I just started doing this today, snapping myself whenever I do anything I dislike about myself (game related or otherwise) and I'm already noticing a change.

One of the big things I want to overcome is my bad habit of going white knuckles over very little insignificant things, and I raged a couple times at work when things got stupid and promptly snapped myself. Towards the end of the day something that really pissed me off happened and I was about to just let the anger flow but I remembered the rubberband and stopped. Good shit man.

It might also help that I'm using one of those big thick ass rubberbands that they use to pack asparagus tard
