The Guest Policy In Hotels Worldwide Thread
In my opinion, this is one of the most underdiscussed topics on the forum. If a hotel does not allow guests, you can be seriously cockblocked. I know one solution is to book a room for two people and when asked by the front desk, simply say that your girlfriend will be arriving later. For purposes of this thread, let's assume that we aren't doing that.

Medellin:
Hotel Plaza Rosa: Zero problems getting girls in there. Also, it's a decent, but not great, hotel for the price.

San Jose, Costa Rica:
My understanding is that the older San Jose hotels are the ones which freely allow you to bring in guests. Unfortunately, these are the same hotels where many of the sex tourists stay. I had no problems at all bringing girls into Hotel Europa (not recommended). There is also a hotel called La Amistad which supposedly freely allows guests. It has excellent reviews online, but my understanding is that is also draws a lot of sex tourists.

Jaco, Costa Rica:
No problem bringing guests into anywhere. That may have changed somewhat, but I still think you can bring guests into most places.

Santo Domingo:
Jaragua: In the past, there was some conflicting, and frankly, incorrect, information on the forum regarding this hotel. I can tell you first hand, that there is no chance of bringing girls in there. If you are staying there, your best bet is to just make a beeline to Tia Tania or to some other cabana.
Hispaniola: The last time I stayed there, there was no problem bringing girls in there, but that may have changed. It's been a few years. It was also a pretty good hotel for the price.

Playa del Carmen:
Hotel Vista Caribe: If you bring a girl in before about 8:00 P.M. (rare for me), they won't bother you. If you do it after like 10:00 P.M., they probably won't let you do it, but your mileage may vary. The staff also seems to really not like Mexicans who aren't from the Yucatan Peninsula or foreigners who speak Spanish. I was with a girl from Guadalajara, so was basically batting 1,000. Also, I don't recommend this hotel. I stayed there my first time in Playa and really didn't know any better.

La Ceiba, Honduras:
Hotel Monserratte: No problems bring girls into this hotel, but it has been a while. This hotel was also the best value in La Ceiba.
Hotel Partenon: No problems bringing girls in. Because the front desk is actually in a separate building from the guest rooms, it is doubtful that the staff will even see you bring a girl in. This hotel is not recommended and I only stayed there because the whole rest of the town was literally sold out.
Palma Real: This is the nicest hotel in La Ceiba. You can bring guests in, but they will probably try to charge you extra. The guy at the front desk conveniently told waited until I was in the middle of a threesome to tell me that. I just handed him a nominal amount of lempiras and closed the door. He may have just been trying to see naked girls or something.

I have never had a problem bringing a girl into any U.S. hotel.

I hate these faggy cock blocking hostels, is it them white knighting cause she "will regret it in the morning" or is it that they want more $$$ for no extra cost to them.

I think the money thing is a big issue.

Another concern is probably the other guests. Hotel management has no way of knowing if these girls are "pros" or not, and they probably don't want to have a reputation of being an informal brothel.

No trouble bringing girls back to my room in Hong Kong. A lot of hotels in the Kowloon area are spread out over several buildings. An entrance here and there with a few rooms each, so there is no front desk to by-pass, just a security guard who works for the building management in a building where there is a mix of hotel rooms and often legitimate apartments or small business locations.

Security would be a big one, the hostel could go out of business if some drunk backpacker brings a girl in and she steals everyone's valuables.

Off the top of my head:

Thailand - she will need to leave her identification with the hotel reception, otherwise OK
Malaysia - managed to bring a girl back to our hotel room, it had a private entrance though and I imagine being a Muslim country they would object if they'd seen.
Brazil, specifically a cheap hotel in Recife made me pay a surcharge for bringing a girl in the room
A girl brought me back to her room in Santa Marta without any problems

Most hostels throughout South America make it impossible (even if you have a private room) as they check wristbands at the door. Sometimes you can find a hostel with a private room that has a private entrance. Otherwise, just use love hotels. They're cheap, and it means she will leave directly afterwards Smile

Have never had any problems getting guests into a hotel in any 'western' country.

RE: The Guest Policy In Hotels Worldwide Thread
One tip that I will give you and it is always worked for me in the chain hotels like Radisson, Holiday Inn etc:

You book a double room (this is normally same price as single as you pay for the room and not number of people)
Then, if your'e lucky just bring the girl in, if the security or whatever try to cock block (or ask for bribe) ask to see the duty manager Immediately and threaten to write a serious complaint letter to the customer relations of the hotel chain as you paid for double room already and they refused to allow the 2nd person - this is serious accusation to the hotel and they can be in deep shit for that.
This always helps, although not so nice in front of the girl and they might still wishes to see her ID.

RE: The Guest Policy In Hotels Worldwide Thread
It is an issue in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately, it eliminates most of the smaller/cheaper non-chain hotels from consideration, with some exceptions. So you have to pay for an international chain hotel.

Second what Diego69 says, you just book a double room in all instances, it's rarely more than a single room.

In the big international chain hotels, it's easy to enter the lobby because of all the restaurants, bars and shops in the hotel and then make your way to the elevator.

Some places where you have to pass reception to get to the elevator will ask for the girls ID.

I always thought it was weird when you bring Thai whores back to the hotel that when the reception see that she is a local girl, they take their ID off them and then they get it back once they leave.

Whats the deal with that?

I get that its a standard security measure but why did they come up with this rule in the first place? Were dudes murdering hookers in their hotel rooms or something?

The less fucks you give, the more fucks you get.

RE: The Guest Policy In Hotels Worldwide Thread
Reminds me a good story from Bangkok which my friend had:
He brought a girl to his cheap guest house but the receptionist refused fiercely to allow her in, my friend was very angry as he had a double room and fight and shout with the person, he was quite drunk as well and it was one of his first nights in the city he would not know where else to take her in 4AM.
Then quietly the receptionist whisper in his ear that in general there is no problem to bring girls, but that "girl" was a ladyboy and they are known to steal money and make problems.

Until those days my friend say a prayer for the health of that receptionist.

It's more of a safety for you and the other guests thing. It's less than 50/50 that most local girls who go home with foreigners are "good" girls. Many are part time prostitutes who are more than happy to steal some shit if they think they're not getting paid. I've stayed at more than one hostel where some guy snuck a local chick into the dorm or even into a private room and she stole from him and some other people.

In places I've stayed that have a guard bringing the guy a few beers or some food has been a good investment. When you do that and they won't let the girl in, there's usually a good reason.

A trick I use if I am not sure about the guest policy is to let the girl enter first wait 5 minutes and then join her in front of my room, it works well especially is the night shift is different than the day shift.

Western Europe: I think there is no problem of bringing guest in the majority of the countries.

Morocco : Most of the time it is not possible to bring guest. You actually need to be married to the girl you want to share the room with. Maybe it is possible to find alternative of more accommodating place since the country has a lot of young european tourists and sex tourism.

I think many of the guest restrictions were in response to guys bringing prostitutes into the hotels, then being robbed, drugged, or harmed in some other way. I know for a fact that that is what happened in some of the hotels in the Dominican Republic. I will try to avoid hotels as much as I can, but in some cities, it is pretty hard to find a place to rent for a week or two. San Salvador comes to mind and lack of information of guest policies in that city is one of the main reasons that I started this thread. Does anyone know which San Salvador hotels allow guests?

The main reason that i always choose for a private apartment is :

1 : The girls come over easier back to your place if its a private apartment and a hotel they are scared to pass the front desk .

Just think like them .

Bumping this thread. This is really a thread that can be of immeasurable value to us if we all contribute and get a good index going, worldwide.

Hotel Matum, one of the big hotels in Santiago, DR - the official policy is they have to be one of your 2 guests, and leave their ID at the front.

My experience: One time they required I "check the girl in" as one of my guests. On another occasion, I breezed right past the front desk with a girl, and in fact came back and forth many times throughout the night and next morning as we went between the room, hotel, casino, etc with no problem.

Go to Thailand, pick up a freelance hooker and leave some gold and a few thousand baht lying around.

You will then realise the unfortunate answer to your question.

You'll also notice in Thailand that some hotels are "guest friendly", but you have to pay to bring them in to your room. Just another way these scum-suckers can get another dollar out of the tourist.

Its for YOUR protection. So if they steel or they are a ladyboi and attack you or go crazy, they can track them down... Or more likely stop them doing anything naughty in the first place because they know they are identified.

Its the hotels that charge you extra for a friend to join you that suck.

Starwood Hotels offer an excellent guest policy service. At most they will ask for your girls I.D and that she signs in. They will never charge you extra however even if your Room Rate is for 1 person.

As for staff giving you the stink eye, just complain to MOD or Concierge and they will straighten out that employee say something along the lines "Your staff is making me feel very uncomfortable the way they look at me with my girl. This has never happened to me at any SPG hotel...etc etc" then let the ass kissing begin.

Always pack anything even remotely valuable in your room safe, so when you come back you can pass out without worry.
