One thing that's confounded me about using okcupid or any other online dating site has been that quite consistently the girls who respond the most to flirting in the messaging end up either cancelling or they show up for drinks and then sit there like a lump and make building any rapport impossible. Then one girl cancelled with an excuse that finally made it all click: she was having cramps.

There have been studies that show women become a lot more provocative while they're fertile. Strippers get more tips when they're ovulating, for example. Not only that, they respond more positively to asshole game, which is about the only means by which you can get attention online since girls tend to ignore the kind of soft approach conversation that works for daygame.

Now, asshole game works great if you're at a bar since the goal is to screw the girl that night while she's still ovulating, but typically online dates take at least a few days to set up. That means I've been fucking myself over by trying to push the dates a couple days ahead to the cheap beer night at the bar I like. What I suspect is happening is that they're shifting from fertile to pms/menstruation in the meantime, creating an attitude shift towards disinterest.

This really reinforces the notion that ideally you want to shoot for meeting the same night, optimally getting into text/IM chat with the girl early evening then immediately meeting up.

Understanding the HUGE effect that a woman's cycle has is key. The same girl will be DTF one day and a coy good girl two weeks later. And if you are exchanging some dirty text messages on a new girl and you think you have her in the kitty for a week later...more likely she goes out and gets dick before that happens.

You can see this corroborated on a site like Match.. that tells you when women were last active.

I see some who are online daily for a week... and then drop off for several days or more.

Also, I had to go out of town so pushing for same day is impossible. Meanwhile a couple of women had initiated contact with me...
I won't be back for at least a week and I will try them then but expect they'll have moved on

Doesn't birth control pills mess with this and essentially mean they don't go through those extra horny ovulation days? I've met many girls who were on birth control even when they were single.
Not to mention that for daygame or night game you'll run into many girls who are very loosely "in a relationship" - and thus probably fairly frequently on birth control - but still open for a fling or trading up.

I was curious about this, and I found this article. Presumably if the drugs mimic the hormonal state present in pregnancy, it would be a shift towards beta male affinity. In a primitive state the female needs a male provider while she's incapacitated with pregnancy, and for a few years afterwards while the child requires a lot of attention. This would explain cuckoldry quite nicely, the female's hormones drive her into finding a beta provider more attractive than the asshole father once she's pregnant, thus creating the incentive to trick a beta rather than continue chasing the alpha.

The whole damn planet has to accomodate for womens menstrual cycles. It is indeed a curse. What is even more bizarre is women are the only sex that can have sex while they are asleep and not even know they got fucked except for wondering why their underwear is missing!

there may be some correlation specifically between menstrual cycles and responsiveness to asshole game, but in the ADD addled world of online dating where women have another 10 options just a few swipes away, striking while her buying temperature is high will always be of critical importance. anytime you can't set up a date within the next couple days, you more than likely can forget about the lead.

Just one more reason to push for sex early!
Women don't develop any feeling for you until the lay.
Considering the online climate, she has hundreds of options, the first to bed her is the one who wins. Recently I had a string of women contact me first aggressively, these girls were opening with stuff like "you're very handsome" and being very forward. Unfortunately, I was too busy for a meet up I lost all of them, I tried setting dates a few days out, but they all went cold. I assume a guy with better logistics got each of them.
