This all stems from an article that one of their bloggers wrote entitled "Why Men Should Care About Everyday Sexism", and then subsequent conversations the blogger had on twitter with readers regarding the article.

Slate calls this recent development, "good news".

This magazine assumes women have the same amount of rationality and reasonableness men do, and that women are just looking to date a decent guy not a 'sleezy' player.

Oh please. When women will step out of the house without doing hair, makeup, spanx, push up bras, then you can talk to me about no "manipulation." But this is all part and parcel of a female-centric world view. What women do is by definition ok and normalized, but men better not dare try and say or do anything that might improve their chances. Maximizing female sexual options and minimizing male options is what this is all about. Women are strong and independent yet lack agency and are easily manipulated. It truly is Orwellian 1984-style thinking: having two diametrically opposed ideas in your head at the same time and believing both can be true.

Selective disclosure of the facts about yourself is per se manipulation, and something all people do to some extent the minute they interact with a transaction. And every situation with another person is a transaction of sorts - someone buys and someone sells. What does this mangina expect men to do?surrender their bargaining power?

There is nothing bad about a man acting in X/Y/G way, and the result is that the woman desires even more the company of the man. That means she is happy around him.

This is good news and bad news. Good because we want to be the tone setters for what real masculinity is and how to go about it. Men are turning to the Manosphere in droves. Why? Because we have real solutions that work. GQ and Men's health cannot avoid the PC atmosphere because they are owned by the same people anyway. The literal difference between them being full blown SJW and not is just one editor. Replace that person, everything changes.

It's bad news for obvious reasons, but that is nothing new, we see turncoats every month more or less. That's fine by me. One less player to compete with in the marketplace for issues that concern men. They can have the grass eating blue pillers if that is what they want.

Meaning the all four of the following are not ok:
"Using information in a skillful way (gaming) is not fine,

...using information for a particular purpose (relationship) is not fine, and
...changing information for a particular purpose (relationship) is not fine"

So we can't use information for the purpose of developing a relationship?

11 years ago I started reading it. 10 years ago I quit.
At that time I lived in a East European country. This matters because they did a "WONDERFUL" thing.

I read the magazine cover to cover, so I could observe all articles. In the first issue they were quite masculine. By number 12, they were betas. Nowadays I see the cover and Omega is a step up for them.

They knew they were coming on a market that is not YET brainwashed with feminism and "eased in". So this is a change for MARKETING reasons again. They go for the lowest common denominator.

I get all the men's health information I need from WebMD, bodybuilding.com, and Wikipedia. At one point I subscribed to Details, but it bothered me. There is something effeminate about men's vanity magazines. Even Outside seems fruity. It's effeminate to pay that much attention to gear. It reminds me of women that can't go for an hour long hike without bringing a water bottle, a phone, sunscreen, a snake bite kit, signal flares ... jesus, just go on the fucking hike already.

The only reason it is interesting is because it illustrates how low status males act. They resemble females, obsessing over hair products and skin care. They sympathize with women, partly because they are trying to curry favor, and partly because they honestly do empathize.
