DB - just joking bro.

Your a big guy I understand, some of those young boy "fashions" you need to leave for the young boys.

I bought a pair last year and ended up giving them away. Not a fan of pants/trousers/joggers that hug my legs.

Yeah man I'm experimenting with a few different looks. I wear a suit & tie 90% of the time so I need to break out of that mold. I figured these would be a little more loose than skinny jeans though.
I'm really not trying to go back to cargo shorts and v-necks this summer, but I guess it's pretty universal.

^As I type this I am wearing a slim fit tobacco cargo pant (Banana Republic) with a red Henley top (American Apparel).

The shoes I rock most times are converse All Stars, I have the white ones on now. At night I rock the black hi tops and get into decent spots without bouncers saying anything.

Those joggers are good for the gym or if you are selling stuff on the block. lol

I'm sure many of you guys have experienced this at some point. Have you ever met a girl (typically white/asian) through a friend, had an engaged/friendly conversation, and then the next time you see them and the mutual friend isn't there, they just ignore you or pretend not to know you?

Happened quite a few times recently, and really starting to bug me. They've all been friends of my roommate, and I tried to give the benefit of the doubt at first until it persisted with multiple girls in a row, in blatant fashion. Not like I was hitting on them or anything. Just conversation about normal stuff.

There's nothing really to do about it, it is what it is and I just check them off, but wondering if this happens to everyone.

Definitely had this happen. I think it boils down to social presence. She may have been being friendly based on who you were around. You were vouched for. But in a vacuum out on the street somewhere that credit plummets based on her on her own biases. That being said, game on. I know a fair amount of Asian girls who are willing and ready.

@Jackflag,

I'm sure it is something that can happen mostly in the US. That hardly ever happens to me, living in the Netherlands is the most 'human' I've ever felt.

I don't know if I could ever move back to the states after living abroad for a few years, life is too good for me. In the past two weeks alone, I have had three new Tinder bangs. I can't imagine the US being that receptive for me, unless I live in certain liberal/open-minded areas. I'm actually going back to the states this summer for a short visit after 3 years away. I'm curious to see how much is changed, and to also compare it to my life in Western Europe.

I'm surprised more American brothas don't move abroad, since our quality of life improves in certain parts of the world. Yes, we give up certain comforts and amenities we are used to back home, but those are most things we could live without (except good 'ol home cooked meals from mama/grandma, that's what I look forward to the most on my return home).

Goddamn man! 3 Tinder bangs in 2 weeks... doing well I see.

Looks like I need to get my ass over to Rotterdam asap. (that is where you are right?)

I will be back in Belgium/Netherlands next weekend.

I think most American black men don't move abroad because its a complete change of life and everything you knew is pretty much dead and gone. I mean there is ZERO black American culture where I am at and the pool for dating black or latina women is dismal. Depending on how intertwined you are in the black community its not going to be easy. I been around mostly white people for the majority of my life now and been dating white forever but others aren't quite used to that.

Kirdiesel,

I am in a city close to Rotterdam, so I can link up whenever you make it out here.

The Netherlands is one of a few European countries that has a 'native' black population (people hailing from the Dutch Antilles), so they are better integrated compared to the Diasporas spread across Europe. This integration means that black people in the Netherlands fit in quite well with Dutch society. It's not perfect, but my dating and social life has been much better than my recent years in the US.

One of the biggest differences is that there isn't much of a negative stigma attached to dating black men (for the white Dutch population), especially in the more global cities like Amsterdam in Rotterdam. So normative thinking here is somewhat conducive to interracial dating. I do quite well, and I'm not even the best looking guy. To be honest, I would be doing much better if I was taller. Not to make excuses, but Dutch girls are quite tall and want there men to be tall as well. So I lose out on a lot of women. However, it's not all bad. One of the 3 Tinder bangs I mentioned earlier is 6'1 (I'm 5'6 for reference).

Although being different all the time does get old, it is not so bad here if one lives in a city like Rotterdam or Amsterdam. Honestly, if the weather wasn't so shitty and the taxes weren't so high, I would consider staying here permanently.

RE: Moma and RudeBwoy RoundTable Discussion on Black Man Game Options
Yeah, I actually was considering moving to europe until I decided to hit grad school. The international students I meet here from europe, asia, south america, are all friendly and pleasant at all times. Not that all the american chicks aren't, but the vibe is immediately different with foreigners. Can't see them pulling the same stuff I've been experiencing with the home grown chicks.

One of the chicks I mentioned I had talked to for a good hour at our place. Girl wouldn't stop talking. Next time I saw her she was returning one of my roommate's things, and just awkwardly smiled and kept it moving when I said hi. Twice. I brushed it off since we had been so friendly, and just assumed something had been urgently wrong.

A week later she comes back with him to the room and he tells me to come over to her place where she's having a get together. She says its no big thing and not worth it to come. He insists, but his back is turned to her, and the whole time he's talking to me, she's shaking her head 'no'.

Mindblowing. I had no intention of going anyway, but this was so blatant it was actually a little jarring. Most people would front and tell you to come just out of social etiquette.

Then I find out from him later that as they walked back to her place, they ran into this dude I know (white guy), who she did NOT know, and guess what... she invites him up to her room for the "no big thing" get together. haha

Things like this have happened constantly with his friends, and sporadically in years past. The most bizarre part, and the part that trips me out, is that it will often have nothing to do with dating or sex at all.

I remember I worked at an internship with this beauty pageant chick for a summer, some days just us alone in the room talking about life, relationships, etc. End of the summer I walk in on her talking to one of the other girls, this cool ass white chick, who immediately blurts out that pageant girl is having a birthday party and I should roll.

Pageant girl nudges her mid-sentence, looking at her with the "what are you doing?" eyes. If I didn't see it, I may not have believed it. Then explains to me that its not a big party and if I can't make it she'll understand. I understood of course that she didn't want any black people at her party, no matter how friendly she was with them. Or that if I showed up, one of the white guys might think there was something going on between us, since that's the first thing that pops into their head when they find out one of their snowflakes knows a black guy. Then I see the facebook pics later, and what do you know, every white guy from the internship was there.

Not meaning to sound like dear diary or like i'm complaining. It is what it is. Just in awe of how these social dynamics still play out regardless of what year we're in or what your relationship is like. Not like i'm some brolic, Suge Knight looking cat either. Just your average brotha. Shits all the same though.

Part of the reason many American black men don't move abroad is because most men will find a decent looking chick they are willing to settle down with relatively early in their life, and they simply don't have the yearning for more that some of the brothas on RVF do.

It is def a big change of life and cultures and everything. But I'd wager its mostly that your average black dude doesn't isn't set on flying around the world and smashing the united nations when (possibly lackluster) consistent ass and a convenient job is already in his lap here. It never even comes up or becomes a consideration.

For myself, I've gotten the best quality of girls for the least amount of work in Holland. You can score with daily with the girls from the Caribbean and Suriname types as well. Don't forget about those girls if you want a change up from the natives.

Don't sweat it fam. You have to realize that an overwhelming majority of these bishes secretly desire black men but will not act on it because of perceived stereotypes and social stigma. Having had an opportunity to interact with you probably made her posssy uncomfortably wet due to a combination of desire and cognitive dissonance. This type of inner conflict really messes with basic bishes. They most likely feared this attraction would be obvious to others and the thought of potential social stigmatization was too great. Remember, it's the bishes who ignore you that most likely likes you the most.

Some of the times, sure. I'm with you. But in a way, having a sexual advance rejected because of race is less jarring. I've had girls tell me straight up they're not into black guys, and I just keep it moving and forget. On to the next.

When you're not even trying to smash, and its purely your physical presence that is quote-unquote rejected or ignored by people you thought of as acquantices/friends, thats more bothersome for some reason. Especially when I have so many close non-black guy friends here whose experiences I go through first- and second-hand, and so am directly able to see how radically different these experiences are from mine. And not just romantically. Again, i'm talking pure social dynamics.

Not like this is just happening 24/7. For the most part life is normal and people are cool. Its just a trip how conditional even the most innocuous relationships can be with a non-black female.

So as much as I appreciate the point you're making here, you still have definitely been poisoned by the Western way of looking at the world. You are the majority, so start acting like it. So what if you can't date/party with a certain white girl...there are some things I don't want white people at that I throw.

It hurts to be rejected by anyone, regardless of race, but I'm seeing in these posts lately that we're all making it a race thing and putting black on the bottom. "They are rejecting us, so I'm sad." Look at it this way. If you're the one throwing the parties, and you get to decide who to invite, the dynamic totally changes. My solution is to be THAT guy, so I'm the one saying yes or no, not them. That's how it was during Black Wall Street and during the days of the Negro Leagues - THEY were begging to get invited to OUR shindigs. Babe Ruth used to say he was jealous of the black cabarets. Let's bring that back, brothers.

There is a funny Hodge Twins video that kind of addresses this...it has some guy writing them asking why white women won't date him. Ummm...cuz you're not attractive? LOL

Kermit

You know Toronto dudes rock these heavy.

I prefer the tapered look for pants, I am not sure why, it just looks more neat to me.

Just be warned. I just notice that brothers can't rock these that well because we typically lack in the calves department and we also typically have skinny ankles. The ankle elastics are tapered in a way that they hug onto your calves, not really the ankles as much as you would think. I have tried to wear these and it is really hit or miss. Some dudes will go the extra mile and get them alliterated so they conform to their legs but that is OD if you ask me.
