RE: Moma and RudeBwoy RoundTable Discussion on Black Man Game Options
I'm almost contemplating quitting clubs after I saw how anti-male they have become. I knew they were anti-male (and anti-black), but I was in denial of the extent they were. I saw a drunk girl literally sleeping on a couch in the club and the bouncer is staring at her doing nothing. Her friend comes and moves the girl to the table. There, she has her head in a trash can throwing up after getting wasted. The bouncers did nothing at all. It's possible that they didn't do anything because she had a table and it was her birthday, but I've seen my friends get kicked out despite having a table. I'm thinking that I need to stop frequenting these places that don't want men, especially black men unless they are throwing money at the bar. We need to gain some respect and dignity for ourselves and not allow this to continue.

I don't patronize establishments that don't respect my business. On the other hand, the more women who frequent an establishment the greater chances of making more money. They are simply bait. It's the same reason you've never heard of "fella's night," lol.

It's been discussed in great detail here about us, as black men, avoiding proprietors who clearly don't want us there.

Jordan Peele's 1) half black/half white, and 2) his wife is white.

That had to make for some interesting discussion, but for the most part him and his partner Key have been working in the black/white comedy space for a long time.

That's not a knock to you, but it's like sending me to a country music or a death metal concert - the shit wasn't made with me in mind.

As art it was masterfully done. Thats why it won the way it did this last year. I thought the composing for it was some of the best I've heard, the use of strings was great.

Amazon has a good selection of velvet blazers. I saw two on there (burgundy, black) that had same color designs etched into them. I think they were about 60-70 bucks apiece, pretty fly

Velvet blazers making a comeback? 2007 again!

It'll soon be to warm for a lot of layering. So accessories and a good body are going to be the main way to gain favorable attraction.

This looks seems pretty timeless to me, but ya, it's definitely starting warm up. I like to buy my seasonal clothes at the end of the seasons to catch some great deals. I just bought a baddass scarf for like $10 on sale that I'm stowing away for next year.

With that said what are some of yalls summer looks for night game?

I usually wear some slim fit chino pants, a tee with a graphic, a watch & yoga beads, and some chelsea boots. I wore this a few times during the winter and fall and noticed that it wasn't even close to popularity with the ladies in comparison to the exact same look with a blazer on it.
What do y'all rock that turns some heads when it is too hot for blazers?

During the brunch/sunday funday thing some bold color shorts a T-shirt with something from my childhood(90's-early 2000s shit: zelda, cartoon network, etc) and some loafers seems to get the job done.
In particular wearing shirts with women on them. I have this one shirt that is a still shot from an episode of 90210 and it got a lot of attention from the girls. "Hey its Kerri!" "do you know what show thats from?!" were regular comments. So shirts with shit from girls childhoods is a good move as well.

Loafers, jeans/chinos, a button down, watch. Will likely add yoga beads/some sort of man bracelet for my watchless hand.

Any thoughts on dating chicks with ghetto sounding names? Lol, In the past I wouldn't even consider a chick with a ghetto ass name as LTR potential.
And frankly, rarely have I even came across one with that sort of name (usually ends in an "Ah" sound, ie., Jamicka, Shanequa, Yakita etc), that possessed a significant amount of LTR characteristics.
It's like the name ultimately becomes a self-fulling prophecy.
I have been hanging out with a chick who knows her name is ghetto af and goes by her middle name. She's a nice gal, but that name, lol!

It depends on the chick. I've dated some hood rats with some jacked names, and attitudes to match. I've also dated chicks that had hood rat names, but were educated and boojie as shit. It depends on how they feel about the name. If she's rolling with the first initial, and the middle name that's a good sign. Because I can't be introducing my people to Ka-shee-ka-shay Rollins and shit.

If her head is on right, I don't blame her for what her parents named her.

BUT - if family is hood as fuck, friends hood as fuck, but she happened to get her MD and met you at some Black Professional Mixer - be observant!

How does she resolve conflict?
What makes her angry?

Like if a chick feels slighted, or gets really insulted - what does she do?

I've had chicks throw tantrums on waiters for not having the order perfect (then expect me to back them up)

I've had chicks just want to be hood just to intimidate people
Dealt with chicks that went from 0 to 100 real quick © Aubrey Graham

Then you get the chicks who shut down emotionally when they deal with stuff. That's also a very emotionally immature way to handle life's problems.

Survival skills in one environment lead to your demise in another.

That being said, middle class/well socialized/double conscious having chicks - can have "creative" names. I know more than a few cursed with a "melodic" name by their parents.

It's interesting that there is a PUA double standard. They wouldn't have sex with a girl who disrespects them, yet at the same they continue to go to venues that disrespect their kind. I have a few venues I will not go to anymore because I'm sure they discriminate against blacks.

I've always wondered how I our non-black brethren deal with this.

I've seen middle/upper class white girls rag on lower class white chicks.

"OMG, her name was MEEGAN."

Like if you was a gainfully employed white collar white dude, and you ran into a chick with named Krystyn. not Kristen (or worse Kirsten - pronounced Keer-stin) - like does the white spidey sense go off. She might hail from the wrong part of Kentucky or some shit?

It's funny how you mention diversity. There is diversity and squabble in every group not just black. I used to roll with some Chinese guys. We did quite a few road trips, barbecues, movie nights etc. I recall going to a night club with them and blitzing the entire place (opened everything black hahaha). However, the group's Chinese majority was towards the Hong Kong with one of them being from the mainland in China. Shanghai, perhaps or some other mainland Chinese city. I remember the Hong Kong guys saying something to each other along the lines of leaving the other guy behind as he was from the mainland. I found that interesting since to an outsider as myself, I could not tell the difference visually or culturally between the two groups.

It made me realise that we think that every other group sings Kumbaya together but we are focused so much on our internal strife that we don't notice that others also have glaring differences within their groups.

Another example, a friend of mine in the UK, a white guy, comes from a rich family. The wealth is pretty immediate, beginning with his dad's grafting (grinding) from a poor working class family. My friend does not blend well with other white guys who have had a longer history of wealth as once the families meet or the other white guys probe or share family tales for long enough, they will dislodge the truth.

This means it's okay for Prince W and H (particularly Prince H, who seemed to be a hot blooded ginja) to get their rocks off amongst the lower ranks but marriage (which is essentially a business arrangement in every part of the world) is a whole different kettle of fish. It makes one wonder how the Meghan Markle tryst will work out as she is of immediate mixed genetic stock (half black) which I was always of the understanding to be a violation of the blueblood agreement...

That jamaca outfit is dope as fuck. I think, "nation T-shirt" may be a sick look, especially countries with the loud/unique colors. Tack on some loud loafers, some shorts, and a fly pair of shades and it would be on like donkey kong.
