Well, It helps that I like the scene. I used to work as a rock/metal journalist for a bit of time and I used to get free tickets to shows and stuff, so I had some access that is hard to really replicate.

I just grab numbers for the most part. I may bump into a chick, apologize, end up in a conversation and then grab her info and catch up with her later after the show or over the next week. It's really a numbers game but I think being that black guy who is at the show who is really into the music puts you far ahead of those dudes who just wanna wall flower and watch.

To be honest, I don't really see the big difference between a ONS and a 2-date bang. It's just time, really. I am patient in that regard. I'll take a day two bang. I'm a bit of an old man in that regard. I don't like staying out all that late, ha.

I've been in a situation that mirrors this with a chinese business woman. She and I hit it off hard via OkCupid. She came over to my apartment for the first date and the usual hilarity ensued.

I smashed her and she then started telling me this story about how she really likes black dudes because of her ex (black American). I can tell she wants a relationship followed by marriage since she's 30 (i'm 28.) I had to tell her upfront that my chances of marrying anytime soon are pretty low given my situation.

Under normal circumstances yes, but it was just a quick (30 min) meet n greet since my son had game I had to get to.
