Just finished watching the first season. Spoiler alert: I thought it was funny in one episode, that the girl that Josh is dating tries to get him to believe she is "just friends" with a monster made entirely out of penises....and she says it with a completely straight face. Great metaphor for real life, I thought.

I just stumbled on this show while flipping through channels. I can't believe I'm late to this party. This is a great show. Had to go back and watch season one from the beginning on hulu.

There are several doses of red pill moments, mostly showing what betas experience in the dating world. I found myself laughing out loud several times and shaking my head, reflecting on times I've been in these exact same situations. It's like the writers took all the cliches guys face in every step of dating, and added a hilariously imaginative spin to it all.

I lost my shit on the episode when the girlfriend of the main character (Josh) introduces him to a guy she says is "just a friend" and Josh sees him as a giant penis monster trying to steal his girl:

Season 2, Episode 2 was great. Guy can't get his girl off, so they go to a sex toy store and end up buying "The Kyle" -- "a ripped (Australian) dude who **BLEEPS** your girlfriend." Girlfriend then, via a therapist, discovers she is "Not-Josherosexual" -- she is attracted to everything but her beta boyfriend. He takes her to a "Not-Josherosexual Pride Parade" and agrees to go to a comic show with her "as a friend." Decent show...

Frankly the show belongs to the Manosphere like the "make-everyone-equal" MRAs, the militant anti-sex MGTOWs and the anti-PUAs belong to it.

That is why Roosh tried to create a different term for us - neomasculinity vs Red Pill. I cannot say that anti-PUA Game-hating guys are strictly not Red Pill. They may know about the weaknesses of women, but then like some MGTOWs decide that you cannot make it unless you are super-rich, super-good-looking and super-tall. Game does not exist, all women are sluts and whores and even fucking a woman anywhere anytime is useless.

Yeah - those guys are Red Pill alright, but they might as well just shoot themselves. The show is funny in a way if you want to see a pathetic super-Beta stay Beta and not change a damn thing and expect different results. Essentially it is still Beta training, but just clad in a more extravagant fashion.

And the current new season starts of with a hard 8 being super-interested in him and his wonderful dorkish Beta schmuck way. Yeah right - that happens very often indeed in the US. Even in the Ukraine you need to have more potential as an ambitious intelligent student to pull that crap off (saw feeble Betas with hot girls, but at least the feeble Betas had high IQs and were going places and some young hot things see their potential - that guy is a broke shy nice-guy Beta/ with a bad job and crappy appartment - he would be a pariah of the dating market and would see pussy that is 200 pounds of fat or he would have to pay for it).

I was willing to watch this show for the writing, but couldn't take five minutes of the lead actor's whiny, nasally, super-beta Woody Allen-style kvetching.

What's this guy's name? Jay Barutel or something? I hate this guy. Ruins everything he's in. Shame too, cause there's a chance I've missed some quality productions but I can't be entertained if I'm sitting here thinking "I hate this loser" the whole time.

(I also hate Jonah Hill for the same reasons but some of his projects I've forced myself to get through, as long as he's not the lead.)
