Had the displeasure of listening. Don't bother.

While it's not the below,

... it's more like the below.

To sum up the pod cast, I'll pick a point they discussed. Basically, they say traditional male self-improvement is fine, but once that crosses into finding females engaged in traditional female self-improvement, then it crosses the line. In short, standard feminist hypocrisy.

Text of the article is more neutral than the interview, and is pasted below to deny them clicks:
Quote:On this week’s Strong Opinions Loosely Held podcast, Elisa Kreisinger speaks with intrepid feminist artist Angela Washko, who sat down for a face-to-face interview with one of the internet’s most virulent misogynists, Roosh V. Author of the international pick-up artist’s how-to guide, Bang, Roosh serves as a useful test case for how feminists should engage their draconian opponents — and as a sad reminder of the limits of those conversations.

Roosh’s work, loosely labeled as such, represents a small piece of the wider, though similarly vile, “Manosphere”— a constellation of books, blogs, and forums working to defend their crusty, antiquated idea of Traditional Masculinity against global feminism. Elisa and Angela fearlessly delve into Roosh’s demeaning “philosophy,” discussing the social changes flaring this anti-woman movement and trying to figure what, exactly, is so threatening about female empowerment?

Below, we chat with Kreisinger about the inspiration for this week's episode:
Do you think it’s possible to have a productive conversation with someone who doesn’t believe you deserve a seat at the table?
"I disagree with Angela’s opinion that men aren’t oppressed. Men have a higher suicide rate, they are incarcerated at a higher rate, they face social pressures to earn, provide, and 'man up;' they are sent to war more often, there’s violence against men, and father’s rights are often ignored in custody battles. Unfortunately, [men of the "manosphere"] don’t address these issues, but they are crucial to their freedom, as well as ours. I understand that in the oppression olympics, men don’t exactly register as the number one underserved community. But the way to have a productive conversation is to find commonality."

By exhibiting her interview with Roosh alongside her own work, does Angela run the risk of legitimizing or even elevating his message — or even Roosh himself — in a way that is detrimental to feminism?
"That is a great question, especially in the context of the art world, where men’s work is traditionally valued higher and is more profitable. I don’t think exhibiting the interview with Roosh legitimizes his message any more. If anything, it further enrages feminist artists and media critics who have never had conversations with someone from the [manosphere]."

It sounds like Angela spoke extensively with some of the women who have hooked-up with Roosh; what were their reactions to learning that he considers himself a “Pick-Up Guru”? Did it change their perspectives on their experiences?
"While Angela was able to get their perspective on their interactions with Roosh, she was adamant about not sharing details of these interviews for fear of retaliation on behalf of Roosh and his followers. Roosh talks extensively about his experiences with these women in explicit detail in his books, so his followers have enough information to piece stories together should Angela reveal any of the details of the interview. I decided not to cut the question and her response from the final episode, because I thought people would ask the same question."

At the end of your conversation with Angela, had either of your feelings about Roosh and the “Manosphere” changed? If so, how?
"I feel for Roosh in many ways. He’s clearly been hurt in the past and his aggression and anger towards women sounds like they stems from an early childhood wound. As I edited the episode, my feelings really fluctuated between outrage, fear, anger, sympathy, and understanding of the [manosphere]. Ultimately, I hope this episode sparks a conversation about society’s impact on men and how women can be allies to men. But the conversation has to be open, honest, and [go] both ways."

I hear you on this, just the vocal fry alone is tedious. However, the value of interviews like this is that all the women have going for them is their hamsters and their attitudes. They don't really make points, they just do that woman thing of agreeing something is bad without proving it is bad.

The value in a podcast like this is that it makes Roosh, the supposed villain, sound much more reasonable than the people trying to criticize him.

It is for the fence sitters, not the feminists, for the people who are passively going along with the feminist narrative just to get along, not out of any real conviction that it is the right thing.

All of the points of the woman are spelled out in hamsterese, and make no sense, like the laughable section where Angela Washko tries to convince herself that she used Roosh's own strategies against him. Or the part where she tries to criticize him for using the first person in a book about himself.

Hamsterese.

Makes zero sense.

Hello, I am your unreliable narrator.

She even says that the women she interviewed said Roosh was a nice guy. She can't even find someone to trash him, so she has to pretend that he is craftily appearing to be a nice guy to hide his master plan.

So, you are right, the interview is ridiculous for someone from this forum. On the other hand, for someone who doesn't know Roosh from a ham sandwich, and listens in, it makes him sound more reasonable than either of the women.

In that sense they messed up by failing to demonize him properly, and there is value in the interview.

"On is off and off is on. We confuse the language."

She created a dating simulator where you can be a woman who chooses which PUA to interact with:

Quote:Almost ten years since the release of Neil Strauss’ The Game, new media artist Angela Washko revisits the subject of male pickup artists in her new solo exhibition at Brooklyn’s Transfer Gallery. Cheekily titled The Game: The Game, Washko’s exhibition is set up as an alternative video game in which players interact with a variety of prominent pickup artists (PUA) with different styles. In a fashion typical of these pickup artists, the game’s interactions take place in a setting often discussed in their signature seduction guides—the bar.

Has she posted nudes anywhere?

I'm actually curious if she's gained/lossed weight, grown her hair out or kept it short, dresses more feminine or masculine, since Roosh's interview?

Has her orbiter that said he wanted to "beat the fuck out of" Roosh gone gay yet?

Need some updates

... I got the bang.

I don't know, giving people who have never experienced normal human interactions before a chance to imagine what it would be like sounds like a pretty noble goal to me.

RE: Roosh Interviewed By A Feminist
Apparently, her project - "The Game: The Game" - is some kind of solo exhibition that is currently showing (until October 8) at the Transfer Gallery in Brooklyn NY.

Hate to say it, but I just laughed when I read this [in bold]:
Quote:TRANSFER IS PLEASED TO PRESENT ‘THE GAME: THE GAME’ THE GALLERY’S FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION WITH ANGELA WASHKO INCLUDING A SPECIAL SOUNDTRACK BY XIU XIU.

‘The Game: The Game’ is an immersive installation and platform to experience the first chapter of a video game presenting the practices of several prominent seduction coaches (aka pick-up artists) through the format of a dating simulator. In the game these pick-up gurus attempt to seduce the player using their signature techniques taken verbatim from their instructional books and video materials.

Players explore the complexity of the construction of social behaviors around dating as well as the experience of being a woman navigating this complicated terrain. The video game is presented alongside the video and print-based source materials from the seduction coaches themselves as well as handmade cyanotype prints, videos and books produced by the artist in response to her experience investigating this field and the ways in which women are literally presented as objects in physical and digital space.

‘The Game: The Game’ is a continuation of ‘BANGED’ a year-long project in which the artist interviewed ‘Bang’ series author and manosphere figurehead Roosh V and tried to get in contact with his alleged sexual partners. After working on ‘BANGED’, the black and white ways in which this field has been portrayed seemed too simple and unfair to all parties who encounter it and provoked this question: Is practicing “game” inherently wrong and dishonest or can it be practiced in a way that simply levels the dating playing field in favor of those who are otherwise socially or physically disadvantaged?

By disguising the most notorious PUAs alongside game-less individuals and PUAs-in-training and placing the player into the perspective of a woman forced to distinguish between them all – Washko hopes to add levels of complexity to public conversations around both pick-up and feminism which have both found themselves most often presented in highly polarized, dichotomous positions in mainstream media.

The first chapter of the game will be presented at TRANSFER along with a musical score composed by Xiu Xiu, whose perverse, challenging, personal and complex music complement the murky, frequently dark, isolating and complicated experiences and aesthetics presented in ‘The Game: The Game’.

Also, I skimmed through her PDF, which goes into depth about her work. Sadly, her artwork is a distracting pile of shit. Immediately, one could tell by looking at the horrible used of shapes, colors, pictures, etc. because they are tied into with feminism and gender studies garbage. She's pretty obsessed with feminism stuff once you get a nasty whiff of it by reading that PDF file.

This part was amusing to read lol:
Quote:"You" attempt to meet a friend after work but instead encounter various aggressive and manipulative men who deploy their practiced "cheats and hacks" learned from "The Game", the sociopathic subculture of "pick-up artists" who hope to target and "get" women by performing Alpha characteristics.

She used pseudo-psychology to analyze us tard:
Quote:The theater of gender in "The Game: The Game" hinges on what may make these self-consciously gamified predator/prey dynamics generic or anomalous. Are they fundamental or merely symptomatic and of what exactly? The "pick-up" subculture is a topic of Washko's earlier work, including a series of staged interviews/encounters with "Bang" guide author Roosh V. (Daryush Valizadeh). His Return of Kings website/forum is a maelstrom of Hetero Bro identity politics in full tantrum mode. It can be seen as a local version of glboal fundamentalist panic at the ongoing modernization of gender norms, roles and power dynamics (see also Kim Davis, Qandeel Baloch, Laverne, Cox, etc.). His movement, such as it is, is a drearily predictable reflex by "men" who occupy a social position that has lost primacy, prestige and power, and is increasingly just another slice of the spectrum among many. It is based on resentment, ignorance, obviousness, self-loathing, retro styling, hipster fear, daddy issues: everything that makes Gavin McInnes who he is.

This will be a good opportunity for her to pick up some beta male orbitors - useful idiots who sympathize with all the "jerk boys" she's had to suffer. No doubt she'll give the beta males her business card, encouraging them to call if they have any questions (aka, orbit in case she needs a pre-wall parachute).

It's also a bit of a humble brag - as well as a jab - at the low SMV women in attendance. She's basically saying, "Let me tell you what it's like to be sexually desired and hit on, since you're too much of a loser to know what that's about."

So she kills two birds with one stone - she shops for beat male suitors, while simultaneously dishing out some venom at the female competition.

"Action still preserves for us a hope that we may stand erect." - Thucydides (from History of the Peloponnesian War)

This writing is extremely female, it is cliché.

I picture a small boy, about twelve years old, with a blind-fold on, machine-gun in hand, and his father says, "okay son, hit the target", the boy pulls the trigger and he makes a lot of noise and a lot of holes, and it is kind of impressive I suppose, but the target is never truly hit.

This is what this writing is: " resentment, ignorance, obviousness, self-loathing, retro styling, hipster fear"

A lot of noise, no but deadly accuracy.

Impotent.

RE: Roosh Interviewed By A Feminist
The entire project is of course doomed to fail.

Her world view was shaped by fake sudo-sciences like feminism, genderism and cultural marxism taught at universities now.

She views any expression of masculinity as toxic. Strangely the girls fuck those men displaying those characteristics - and they find them attractive overall.

But they are equally puzzled that those actually attractive men have such 'regressive' views about women and don't follow the latest marxist fad on what to think.

Essentially we have become the Wild Men as described in Brave New World. Only the wild elite would understand us, but the brainwashed sheep and women would only view us natural and wild men as an odd relic from the past. We are not fully there yet, but the signs are there.

The project has those characteristics of a Huxley Beta trying to assess wild men who are free from the brainwashing. Only the wild elite know that we are the true form of masculinity, but they created the system to rule and not to have men run around as unencumbered by propaganda as they are.

The feminists like here are the utterly indoctrinated little serfs who have no idea that our kind of gender behavior and viewpoint is the norm and is authentical and that she is the freak. Nature and time will return it once to an equilibrium - no matter the technological level and advancement.
