I'm currently 45 years old. I was wondering if it's possible for someone of my age to attract females in their early 20s in day game. I'm having a tough time attracting these girls. Can you guys look at my regular opener and comment if I need improvement?

Me: Excuse me I saw you coming out of the library. I was in there also. Did you see the fight on the 3rd floor?
Her: No, what happened?
Me: (blah blah)
Her: No I didn't see it.
Me: You look like you work in a magazine. Are you a photographer?
Her: No, I'm a student.
You You dont look like you're from around here. You look like you're from Japan.
Her: Yes I am.
Me: Cool. I visited Osaka and Tokyo there and I got lost.
Her: I see.
Me: So what else do you do besides talking to handsome men in NY?

So this is the extent of my opener. I hope you guys can tell me if this is a good opener or not and where I need improvement. Thanks!

IMO you're much better suited to avoid canned lines and open with an innocent question based on your surroundings. That can be the type of clothing she's wearing, what she's reading, anything really.

In my experience day game has to be as innocuous as possible. Almost the opposite of night game. It takes a few minutes of boring small talk before you can segway into something more akin to game.

For a lot of girls any 'quick' advances or obvious signs of interest and you run the risk of being 'creepy'. Especially if you're 20 years her senior.

How's your fitness level? Dress? As a 48 year old I can tell you that I fell off the radar of 20-somethings when i was in my late 30's, I was skinny fat, if not outright fat and kinda kept my early 90's attire thing going on. Fast forward 10 years, after 5 years of lifting heavy shit, updating wardrobe, adjusted my music tastes, vehicle and suddenly I have 20-somethings paying attention to me again, granted not all of them - but I'm rocking' it. Being overwhelmingly positive in my interactions and understanding what I have to offer - confidence is key.

It's an uphill battle but with the above pointers you can do it. There's also a few (a slim few) girls in their 20s who outright seek out and prefer older men

How good do you look for your age? I think that's the biggest determining factor. Pharrell Williams and Lenny Kravitz are middle aged men but don't look it. Even without their fame, they'd be considered attractive by women of all ages. I think as you approach middle age, being fit and stylish becomes ever more important. I'd also add David Beckham and Johnny Depp as examples. If you can hang on to your hair, keep fit and wear stylish clothes you should have no problems getting girls at least 10 years younger. Though 45 getting with college chics is kinda pushing it. But if you can get them, more power to you. If not, aim for late 20s or early 30s women that have taken good care of themselves.

I second ThrustMasters comments. I'm close to your age, most importantly stay thin/in-shape. Also, I recently read Day Bang by Roosh and it is very insightful and helpful on opening/hitting on chicks in general. Many hours of experience written in the book, very helpful. It will get you thinking and get you out there with some new updated weaponry to use in the Game.

Of course it's possible. It happens all the time. Just open your eyes.

Is it possible for someone who is overweight and weak to transform their body? Is it possible for a man who isn't a millionaire to sleep with a model? Is it possible to go from being broke to building a successful business?

Whether or not it's possible for you right now may be up for debate, and that's fine because everyone is at a different place in their life. But by questioning whether it's possible at all, you're defeating yourself before you even start.

Your problem is not your opener. But it is telling of your demeanor.

A 45-year-old guy approaching women this young needs to show that he's confident, experienced, and unabashed. Making up a story about a fight on the 3rd floor doesn't put you in a position to be that man.

I'm certainly no expert in these dynamics, as I'm not 45, but I'd say go direct. Perhaps not by revealing your intentions overtly but at least in your conversation and engagement style.

Depends if aging has done a real number on you or not.

How much hair do you have left?
Is a significant portion of it gray?
How many teeth do you have left?
Do they have lots of fillings? lots of discoloration?
Does your skin have a lot of visible damage from sunlight or from poor hygiene?
Is your posture good? Or temporarily out of shape due to a sedentary lifestyle? Or permanently broken by injury?

These details are important, and as a result of them the gaps in male attractiveness widen as men age

Without knowing anything about you, it's just a pure #'s game.

If you want to increase your close rate
- eat right, no more crap
- get in the gym and lift weights. You don't need to be squatting 500 lbs, but reducing the fat and increasing muscle mass always works in an average dude's favor.
- get your health and hygiene together. Balding? shave it off if you want to. Full head of silver? Rock that shit with pride.
- update your clothes. I don't expect you to be rocking "Hood By Air", but a nice suit always works.

Assuming you're in the states, trying to pull a J-Girl with your cockiness will be hard because of the language barrier. Ease off the cleverness and focus on just talking to the chick.

It depends on how you look and how you feel.I found that blokes my age just give up.I look in my mid 30s but I'm really mid 40s.The main thing I found is I really believe I'm young.My mates say to me "You really believe your 36 don't you". Fucken right I do.
