To get the 9s in Rio where you going to clubs? Because on the street and online, I found the quality, in general, to be better in Cali.

As far as the 23 to 34s, were some of them single mothers? For whatever reason a lot of the girls in Medellin, within that demographic, tend to be single mothers; but I did not find that to be, so much, the case in Cali.
Interesting to see that their are still virgins in Colombia over 21.
I will look for a house in the South of Cali that has a bit of land, so I can remodel, divide into and construct apartments. With the dollar being around 2400 pesos, there should be some good deals.

I think 4 were single moms. There was one girl in a shack with a tin roof. She was a single mom and she cooked me breakfast on this little propane stove. It was few eggs from the chicken coop and a hotdog wennie. I think she was my favorite out of all of them. She kept apologizing for living in a shack but I sort of liked her more because of it. We sat down at this little plastic table and she was eating all proper with the plastic spoons and forks in the perfect position, trying to use the napkin after every bite. It was like being in a 5 star restaurant but stuck at this little plastic table in a shack. Those women are why I like Cali.

I'm pretty sure it was that scopolamine (devil's breath) stuff that they just blow in your face. Long story short, I met these girls, had a couple drinks then suggested we bounce but told them I had to run to the ATM first (big mistake), they said "okay, we'll call our taxi friend who is nearby" (warning sign). I got in the cab, then don't remember much, I woke up the next day short of 300K pesos ($150), there was no violence and they didn't take my debit card or wallet, it could have been a lot fucking worse. Actually, looking back I'm kind of glad it happened that way as I was getting to cocky and trusting of people I didn't know, it was one of those times where if it seems too easy, it probably is!

Medellin is safer overall, but each city has its good and bad parts.

This could be debated, there's probably more violence against gringos in Medellin but that would be because there's so many more gringos in that city. Cali for sure has some very ghetto barrios, such as Agua Blanca, which are no-go zones even for the police and the murder rate is higher but I don't really feel any more threatened in Cali compared to Medellin.

More than anything, I'd recommend getting good at Spanish. I'd attribute at least 80% of my bangs to the fact that my Spanish is very good. I've had several girls tell me that they slept with me because I am smart/funny/different, which I wouldn't be able to convey without being conversational in Spanish.

Don't underestimate the lack of competition in Cali and all other Colombian cities. Competition there is a complete joke. The only advantage most local guys have is that they are local guys and probably aren't going anywhere.

The Calenos definitely have the dance advantage and that can be huge in Cali, depending on the club you go to if you're looking to meet other women at night, which can be tough, but if you go with a mixed group to a place such as Cafe Mi Tierra in Menga on a weekend night, you can mingle with other groups and get numbers.

As far as the blond hair and blue eyes, I would say that it will create an initial attraction, but its up to the guy to capitalize on it, as Linux mentioned, he didn't feel it gave him an advantage, but I can't imagine it hurts. Myself I can pass for a Colombian, well maybe a Paisa as I"m short and have dark hair, so walking down the street I don't get as many looks from girls as I see guys like Linux getting when we're walking down the street. That being said, Linux has tight game and is persistent as hell and he put in the effort before arriving to get the dates and numbers that he did, I was quite impressed with what I saw. Although he didn't speak much Spanish, his body language was strong (very touchy and Colombianas like that), he's in great shape and he dresses very sharp, he had decent logistics too which helps a lot.

Linux, I'm actually surprised that you don't like Medellin at all and are considering leaving, I'm not a big fan of the Paisas myself, they're probably my least favourite in the country for attitudes, but I like the city itself and after having just spent the past seven weeks in Cali, I think I prefer Medellin.

This sounds like the kind of girl you should't lie to about certain things. Like your job and that you are looking for a wife. Sounds like life has already played a few tricks on her and she is just trying to play the cards she has been dealt the best she can.

I've been dating a colombian girl from the Cali region for a while now. Very hot girl, top personality, etc. Anyway it's pretty obvious what my competition is. Lookwise, gamewise, etc. nobody. The competition plain and simple is filthy rich guys, mostly ugly and older, although not always, who are not afraid to offer insane amounts of money/gifts to girls. They are all somewhat related to the cartels off course. I get fucking tired of my girl telling me how some random cartel guy offered to fly her to Argentina or something for an all in vacation or how another guy whom they just met bought champagne the whole night for her and her friends in a top disco. what linux said about robbery was absolutely spot on.

my friend saw a guy got mugged on copacabana beach on new years eve. There were 5 buffed up guys robbing this guy who was with his family. they robbed him in broad day light, in which he confronted one of the 5 guys to demand them give his stuff back. But rather than running away, they beat him, and the bystanders were all watching, but couldnt help as there were 5 guys and the helpers were outnumbered. no one called the police, who are nearby.

You talk about laws and social injustice. You talk about a city which attracts world attention for its beaches and world class scenery, and millions of tourists around the world a year, increasing with the upcoming olympics...with hotel prices on par with world class cities like Paris or New York.

Dantes' point is well taken. I pride myself on my honesty and would rather get less, both personally and professionally, by being honest than get more by lying. That being said, it's not my place to tell people not to lie to get girls. Half the time, when I am telling the truth, people think I'm lying. Last year, I was in Santanera. I told these girls (not Mexican) that I am from the Jersey Shore and that I was starting to get into the boxing business. They accused me of lying and were about ready to fight me. Just so you guys know, nobody has ever been from the Jersey Shore. In fact, the Jersey Shore doesn't really exist. The pine barrens which form much of the central part of South Jersey continue east and the easternmost part of South Jersey is only swampland and there is no beach there. Also, nobody has every been involved in the boxing business. Oscar De La Hoya, Al Haymon, and Bob Arum are just puppets and not real people. This is bad information.

You're making it seem as if you show up in Rio and your life is at risk by a bunch of 'lazy idiot' locals. This is not a fair, or accurate generalization.

You did not spend enough time to form an accurate opinion of the culture. Yes you are entitled to your impressions, but don't post and mislead others by stating what you believe are facts.

How do you know you properly understood the situation? If you don't speak any spanish there's not a chance you'd understand portuguese. And I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain you are over-exaggerating (or at least misunderstanding) that situation, for reader entertainment.

Yes favelas can be dangerous places, and theft and muggings do occur often in a place like Rio. But your life is not at great risk simply by being in the city, and by taking precautions you can limit your chances of running into crime. As long as you don't unknowingly wander into high crime areas, and increase your awareness (takes practice), you will greatly lower the chances of running into crime, where ever you may be in SA.

Now onto your other point,

Are there lazy idiots in Brazil and Colombia? Yes. But don't come to conclusions where a majority of them are. If you want to that's fine, but don't give incorrect information to others looking for advice.

I may not be the best source of information on this topic, but I certainly know enough and better to know that these claims you are making here are false.

I've spent a month in Colombia, and have lived several years in Brazil.

I'd suggest you try and make some local friends next trip, wherever that may be. That way you can actually learn about the culture and perhaps change your current mindset, as I don't see it as a positive one.

I see way too many disappointed guys in Medellin who are somewhat surprised to find out that hot poblado chicks from good families are not into tourists who barely make middle class back home.

As an average looking guy I would say that for example things in a club are easier in Europe than in Colombia. I agree with this in part. You will definitely see lots of disappointed guys in Medellin. I've traveled around the country quite a bit and Medellin is more difficult than other parts. Lots of these girls have been pumped and dumped or know someone who has been, so they're a lot more cautious. If you don't speak Spanish, can't dance, you are average looking, and have average game, you will probably do better or just as well in your home country.

However, saying that you cannot get quality here is false; it also depends on your definition of quality. For me a quality girl is a hot girl that is attracted to me. I don't care why she is attracted to me (looks, humor, intelligence, exoticness, perceived wealth, etc); all I care about is that we're having sex and she's hot. If you're here on vacation and a hot girl wants to have sex with you, it probably doesn't matter that she's poor or has 2 kids or is on the gringo carousel; similarly, if you're in a club in Europe, you don't care about these things either. If you're looking for a relationship, that's another matter entirely.

For a relationship, I agree entirely that a gringo on vacation is most likely going to have to settle for a lower quality girl, but there are always exceptions. I'm now living here, but when I came here on vacation before I dated several quality girls: a middle class girl in her last year of studying to be a doctor, a middle class girl in her first year of studies, an upper-middle class girl who works for a major gov't organization, a middle class girl who's a psychiatrist, etc... none of these girls had kids or seemed to be on the gringo carousel. On the other hand, I dated some girls that would be considered lower quality (kids, lower-middle class, carousel).

Every guy will have a different experience and every guy wants different things. It's probably better to come here and experience it yourself rather than say you'll do better in Europe. I think certain guys can expect a bump up in quality vs their home countries. For instance, if you are a from the US and you are short (5'8 or lower), average-looking, average game, with blue eyes, and speak a little bit of Spanish you are going to get more girls attracted to you here than you would in the USA. Your height alone in the US is going to disqualify you for a lot of girls, but here you would be in the normal height range and having blue eyes you will stand out more than the locals.
