It's been hard work...but after 2 years + of scrimping and living like a monk, I've got $$$ in the bank and I'm moving to Brasil. My portuguese is at a pretty high level. I've spent more than a year living there already, in Rio, and I'm ready for a different city. I've settled on Belo Horizonte, mostly for the proximity to the companies in my industry. I'm wondering if anyone has any contacts there or can suggest some place to land until I can find an apartment. I've seen Roosh's accommodation page already. Main caveat...I'll be traveling my 45kg Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Any suggestions for good neighborhoods to live near the nightlife?

I heard that Santa Teresa neighborhood is a good call..lots of bars and some clubs.
