I think they are also missing the point that good material/concepts are the starting point for a movie, tv show, web series etc. Well, ideally good material.

If the writers are not writing shows with old ladies in it, or if the producers are not producing shows with old ladies in it, then there are just fewer roles with old ladies in it.

But of course, this is logic, so fuck what I am saying.

Nothing new here, we should all be attracted to crusty, fat, old women. The film industry is in the business of making money, that's how the real world works.

Anyway, as someone who turns 40 this year, RC is right. I still exercise, but I get more sore, and I have to keep improving my diet as the years go by.

These women want the right to bring absolutely nothing to the table. No effort at self-improvement, no attempt to be appealing. It's fuck you, take us as we are.

Then again, we're dealing with the same media that shames Leo in reality for banging hot models in their early 20s, but praises a fictional show for portraying a fat hog like Lena Dunham with a much older (and fitter) Patrick Wilson.

Nowadays guys can be in excellent shape even in their mid 60s, but you have to realize that with advanced age you have to be ever more conscious in your diet and lifestyle essentially becoming a health-nut with every year added.

The facebook comments are ridiculously ignorant. Women spouting that there are no good parts written for older women because all movies are written by men.

What does that tell you? 1. Women are heedlessly admitting they are incapable of producing a quality story from scratch. 2. They still expect men to do everything for them.

We'll write it, produce it, direct it, that male martial arts expert over there will choreograph a fight to make you look a bad(albeit dumpy)ass. That sap will stand hours upon hours holding light with outstretched arms in the effort to make you look somewhat less grotesque. That other guy is going to put his life on the line to make a car chase look exciting while that other guy will do the same to keep you from being bothered by fans. After all that is done, our end product will be how strong, powerful, independent, a woman you are. Fighting the patriarchy seen above that is keeping you down.

I don't even understand what all the complaining is about anyways. There's plenty of rom-coms and other chick flicks full of pasty middle aged Hollywood spinsters. They probably match the number of trashy throwaway action flicks 1:1 in scale and budget.

It's a business anyways. If women want to see more flabby old women on screen then they should go and buy more tickets to see those movies. If it doesn't make money then whose fault is it?

Women of the west want to take the best part of being a man; best part of being a woman, while not wanting to take the bad parts of either. As mentioned common sense, non-existent, and of the charts entitlement to the best of both worlds.
