To be clear though, most of the Spanish "mixing" took place during a 300 year colonization. The influences are heavy all throughout the culture and language. It's an innate part of the country's heritage.

Most of the Chinese ancestry dates back even before that, though it's also common today.

I don't really consider that "mixed" in the sense that the word is usually used, just like I wouldn't consider South American's with European heritage or most Americans "mixed".

It'd be like calling a mestiza in Mexico mixed (they actually use the term mestiza in the Phils also) when they're several generations removed from any direct European bloodline. That's where the confusion came from when berserk used the term.

Yeah I agree. Even though lots of girls here might look Spanish or East Asian most I've talked with just consider themselves Filipina. If you ask them they might says something like 'My Grandpa was Chinese' or 'My great grandmother was Spanish' but it's not like they see themselves as 'mixed'. It seems a history of mixing Spanish/Chinese/Filipino blood is just part of the cultural here.

The exception being examples like that Aussie/Fil above, Kopinos, Blasians, Japinos, etc. Those are girls that have a parent that has no Filipino blood. And yes, lots of those girls are smoking hot.

From what I understand about 25% of Filipinos have Chinese blood and it goes way back. So you get the mix of looks and some girls have the "Chinese eyes" which is considered attractive and they get nicknames like "Chinky". But they are just Filipina like others. Then you get the actual Chinese minority which is around 1% but at the high end of society.

You'll also see different looks in different parts of the country, Manila and Davao have a lot of Chinese and mixtures in general while a lot of podunk towns are made up of the original islanders without much mixing.

Basically there is a lot of mixing of all kinds in the Philippines.

I'm guessing it's not the hot girls point, but the influx of old white guys (don't mean that derogatorily towards our older members, of course) you're talking about?

I have noticed that the number of foreigners in Davao has multiplied by about 5 in the last year. Granted, there were so few to begin with that it's like mutiplying 1 times 5, but it's definitely a huge difference. I used to go days without seeing another foreigner (white), now I can't even go outside without running across a couple, it seems.

In Davao though, the girls they date seem about equal SMV (or lower). Most of the older guys tend to be with older Pinays. Then there are the guys that brought sand with them...very fat, haggard sand

And actually, it hasn't hurt my value at all. I still stand out from the most of them pretty distinctly, but locals are a lot less shy lately.

Maybe consider trying something outside the Metro. To be fair, I will probably leave within the next 6 months or so myself, but not because I'm just so sick of it and want to get away. Just want to try something new.

Haha, I can confirm that PaulB is fed up with the Philippines.

As for girls, I've had this discussion a lot.

There aren't a lot of "hot" girls here.

Easy - yes. HOT (8/9/10) not really that many - and they do get passed around quite a bit.

There is a seemingly unlimited ocean of 5's and 6's - which I am satisfied with banging all day long.

An overwhelming majority of the white guys I see here are with a 5 or a 6 - including high SMV white guys.

These girls aren't ugly - they just get a strong "meh" from me and when I see them with a guys I'd consider a 10/10 (no-homo), it just makes me feel like I need to wife one of these chicks before they're all gone lol. (But not really)

I have never seen a "head-turner" outside walking the streets. They do exists but they're in the upper echelons - either born there, sent overseas, or snatched up by the most elite guys.

None of the above - there's some competition here - to lock a girl down, not to fuck her. It's so much not about my length of stay that's making me want to leave, but that the negatives are now outweighing the positives.

There are a lot of factors, but when it comes to women specifically, I'd say their attitudes are getting worse, they're becoming less available, and worst of all they're getting a lot fatter. The Filipino diet was bad to begin with but these past few years it's gotten much worse because of more fast food, cakes, donuts, ice cream, and things like unli-rice and unli-refills on soft drinks. Combine that with the lack of education when it comes to nutrition and exercise and you get a third of the population walking around with a gut (3 out of 10 Filipino adults are overweight, obese).

It's sort of a sad sight to see to be honest. Just a few years ago Filipinos were still slim for the most part. There are still some attractive girls but they are becoming more and more rare, and if you do find one you now have to deal with other problems.

I've never been to the Philippines but have been to nearly every other part of Asia. Whether in Asia or the west, I must admit I've never seen any philippina women much over a 7.

This doesn't mean they don't exist, only that more direct research on my part is required. Hope that doesn't upset any Philippines lovers; just stating one man's observations from years of experience. I'm optimistic that the quality of those from high social status who have no need to emigrate is naturally somewhat higher, but they may still be affected by the obesity creep of processed foods and sedentary lifestyles. Sad indeed.

It's all apples and oranges comparisons. Filipinas have their own qualities which make them adorable. I have a very strong preference for east asian looks and beauty but there is still something magical about a 19-21 cute filipina that brings out the inner horn dog in me. Compare that with a few other asian nationalities which can instantly kill boners when they open their mouths..ie. Singaporeans.

The route from meet to bang is just so uncomplicated too.

So I spoofed my location to Makati, jumped on Tinder, and exported pics of the cutest ones. This is only the first 100 or so prospects (and I cut 5 to make them fit into 2 posts), I'm sure I could've been swiping for another hour.

The majority I would put at a 6 or 7 (a couple 5s maybe), but there are a few (borderline) 8s. These are the types of girls you can see at the nicer malls and coffee shops.

They're not the average of the country, but they're definitely not uncommon for the more middle class girls. As expected, the hottest girls are rare and not that likely to be online.

Note: I tried to choose neither the most flattering nor the least flattering pics for most of these girls. And I didn't choose girls that didn't have about the same level of attractiveness in their whole album.
