I have seen similar situations on the street in Russia.

Example

It always went down something like this:

- A woman being a total cunt,screaming loudly and making a scene in public.
The guy remained quiet until he couldn't take more shit and snapped.
A quite hard slap in the face was delivered following by a pointing finger and a statement like "enough is enough" and some lecturing.

After the "lecturing" things proceeded as normal, like walking and holding hands. Like nothing happened.

This happened in public, people saw it.
No one reacted, no one was feeling pity for her, no white knights.

Anyhow, Russian women usually know their place and respect men.
I hardly met any girl who had a cunty and disrespectful behaviour towards a man.
At least in public......

Everybody has different blow up point. People knows this and they keep it at certain level when they are arguing. (you don't cross the line when arguing even with your best friend. you don't know what will happen.)

She would've done none of that in private just with him. She knew he couldn't do anything around other people and camera so she kept pushing and pushing.

I wouldn't personally do that in States (I might grab her hair and drag her down the street in my country though) because I know the consequences.

If someone does that in that situation, I wouldn't talk bad about him. Sure he would go to jail but it's not problem. But I understand his position.

There is no need to build anger into violence with anyone unless you're in danger. Violence should be used as self defence.

When used against women who don't pose a threat it's weak game, most average men can pummel an average woman. Doesn't prove masculinity. Proves you can't handle women, stress, conflict etc. Same goes with women who resort to violence and passive aggressive behaviour.

I get that hitting a woman is below the belt for many guys here and find it unacceptable.
I have myself never slapped a girl in the face. That's the way most of us have been raised.

I'm just trying to give an example of how reality is in some parts of the world.
In some countries it's obviously not a big issue as nobody reacts to it?
Western men seem to be the most sensitive on the planet when it comes to this.

You guys realize even in the East that this would be considered an overreaction. A lot of people would walk on by saying "Not my problem" though if this did happen in the streets. There's a bit of a non-interventionist policy when it comes to things like this unless they are part of your family. Just because people don't stop the person doesn't mean that they don't think it's not wrong.

It's kind of funny that I know the guys saying homeboy was way out of line are the guys with martial arts bg (TravelerKai, for instance) and who through that training have learned the most important thing about violence: when to use it.

I'd imagine that guys who are condoning this Russian guy hitting the woman have probably never been in a real honest-to-go fight before or are just really young and haven't had a strong mentor who knows the value of restraint.

It's alpha to HAVE the power to beat the crap out of anyone but not use it because you know restraint (and yes, just because a bitch throws a little cunty remark at you and says you have a small dick doesn't mean you kick her head in). That's what men respect and that's what women respect.

That's what I took away from it. Isn't Russian culture largely inconsiderate of others? (ie, "you're not me, fuck off" sort of mentality)

This small article certainly isn't an in-depth look at the culture but it seemed like a decent assessment, albeit a narrow one.

I feel like the right woman is very very very hard to come by. My dad told me 6 years ago she slapped my mother (foreign country)because she was talking out her ass in front of his family basically humiliating him. He regrets it and my mother never shows that love you find when you find in younger new couples. imo I'd have to agree sometimes you aren't delt the right cards (women) and its time to fold. however after your prime when its obviously difficult to find a faithful spouse i'd say you have to do what you have to do to keep what you have together.

Interesting video.

I do feel Feminism has opened a strange sort of Pandora's Box.

Personally - I am totally against domestic violence.

But - looked at from the point of view of evolution - I do think the decline of it in the west has had a strange unintended consequence.

You see - women, at heart, want to admire their man.

They might admire him because he is remarkably good looking, rich, powerful, famous and so on.

But sadly - most guys will never be any of those things.

So - what is left? Well - just about any guy can kick any girl's ass.

My sense - is that for thousands of years - the fact that a man was physically stronger than his wife (and not afraid to prove it) helped add a frisson of danger and attraction to a humdrum domestic arrangement. And that is now lost forever.

I think it is a good thing it has disappeared. And when it was around - I am sure a lot of insecure guys would bully their partners as a way of trying to make themselves feel less pathetic.

Still - it is my politically incorrect belief - that women (on a carnal level) would have more sexual desire for their "nothing to get excited about" partners - if men were occasionally allowed to flash the only superiority they have over women, which still remains totally unchallenged.

Again - I don't support domestic violence. In any way. I just sense a contradiction between modern PC laws and the sexual desire which has being shaped over hundreds of thousands of years of brutal existence.

I am guessing I am not the only person who has had these thoughts.
