Both the Duke of York and famous defence lawyer Alan Dershowitz have emphatically denied the claims of Virginia Roberts, who claimed that she was pimped out to them by American billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein whilst serving him as a 'sex slave.' Epstein was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2008 as part of a plea deal for procuring underage girls for prostitution.

Buckingham Palace took the unusual step of issuing a statement to rebut the accusations.

“This relates to longstanding and ongoing civil proceedings in the United States, to which The Duke of York is not a party,” a palace spokesman said in a statement, using the prince’s title. “As such we would not comment on the detail. However, for the avoidance of doubt, any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.”

The motion was filed as part of a civil case involving Mr. Epstein, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2008. The lawyers for two alleged victims have argued that the rights of the women were violated during the negotiation of Mr. Epstein’s plea deal. The motion requests to add two more alleged victims to the case, including the woman, identified as “Jane Doe No. 3,” who said she had sexual relations with Prince Andrew and Mr. Dershowitz when she was underage.

On Saturday, Mr. Dershowitz said he “categorically and unequivocally” denied all of the allegations. He said he would file disbarment proceedings against the lawyers who filed the motion, Bradley J. Edwards, a lawyer in Florida, and Paul G. Cassell, a former federal judge and a law professor at the University of Utah.

“They are lying deliberately, and I will not stop until they’re disbarred,” Mr. Dershowitz said in a phone interview.

Mr. Dershowitz, who served on Mr. Epstein’s legal team and is perhaps best known for representing O. J. Simpson, said he would also file an affidavit denying the claims.

Mr. Cassell said in a statement on Saturday that the lawyers carefully investigated all of the allegations in their pleadings before presenting them. He said the lawyers would consider any sworn testimony or documentary evidence provided by Mr. Dershowitz.

Mr. Cassell included a statement from “Jane Doe No. 3,” saying that she was an innocent victim and was now “being unjustly victimized again.” “I’m not going to be bullied back into silence,” she said in the statement.

In 2011, Prince Andrew resigned as an ambassador for British businesses abroad after a series of embarrassing revelations, including his friendship with Mr. Epstein.

A New York money manager with several billionaire clients, Mr. Epstein, 61, had owned a home in Palm Beach, Fla. His listing on Florida’s sexual offenders website said he now lived in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.

Federal prosecutors initially threatened to bring him to trial on several charges, but he later pleaded guilty to lesser state charges. His lawyer, Jack Goldberger, called the new allegations a "total fabrication." "These are old, salacious, leftover allegations that lawyers are attempting to reheat by adding names of world leaders," he said in a statement.

The new court documents claim that Mr. Epstein sexually abused the woman identified as “Jane Doe No. 3” starting when she was 15 years old and kept her as a “sex slave” from about 1999 to 2002. He made her available to other men, the motion said, to ingratiate himself with them and to obtain potential blackmail information.

Any chance this story will blow up in the media? Here you have an alleged victim making these claims in an actual court of law, either perjuring herself grossly or courageously exposing the crimes of some very powerful and well-connected men. She alleges that not only was she raped repeatedly, but was actually used as a sex slave. Pretty shocking allegations, if true. Where is the feminist outrage? What better opportunity to attack the patriarchy than when they are literally raping and using underage girls as sex slaves?

And yet the reaction to this story is incredibly subdued. Compare this to the recent UVA rape hoax, which caused a national firestorm based on extremely flimsy evidence and a story that was completely full of holes from the beginning. But of course, the alleged perpetrators in that case were a bunch of "privileged", white Southern frat boys, the arch-enemies of the SJW cause. When it comes to alleged perpetrators who are actually powerful and privileged though - wealthy and influential Jews like Dershowitz and Epstein, and a legitimate British Prince - well then there suddenly seems to be less appetite for confronting them.

Whisperings and allegations of sex trafficking and underage sex slaves/prostitutes have long been associated with the international power elite, certainly much more so than ritualized gang rape has ever been associated with fraternities. Look at it this way Scorpion, if members of the elite like them are capable of being thrown in jail, it definitely will not be over something financial or quasi-legal. They will always have that area covered. Where they will fail is in areas where all men are equal in regards to vice, temptation, and other forms of debauchery.

The worst recent example was the Dominque Strass Kahn case. That maid was highly credible. More than ten years service at the hotel, no criminal record, and she reported DSK right away. DSK ran out of the hotel right away.

The NY DA threw out the case because she had lied on an immigration form. Who doesn't? Like lying on tax forms. That case should have gone to trial.

The civil thing is her only option at this point. The prosecutors made a secret plea bargain with Epstein on the criminal charges without consulting the victims, so he got 15 months instead of 15 years, which of course he got to serve in a private wing of non hellhole jail. I wonder how much money changed hands, how many favors promised and arms twisted, it took for that to happen. The true story behind his plea deal, if one could ever know all the details, would make a great book or movie.

I'm not sure what to make of the claims considering it appears one of the plaintiff lawyers is a former Federal Judge. Usually I'd just dismiss them as bogus, I'm not sure in this case. You'd think a former Federal Court Judge would have some ability to discover the truth of the victims claims simply by asking a variety of questions. It's surprisingly easy for a lawyer to find out whether the witness is reliable in most cases. I would assume in a case involving people of this magnitude the claim would've been filed only after intense discussions and behind the scenes questioning (examining) the client.

I wouldn't pay much attention to them suing civilly as opposed to criminally. For one there's a lower standard of proof with civil cases. Secondly, lawyers and victims may simply take the approach that what has happened has happened and it's better for the victim to make some money and move on with her life as opposed to simply see the accused go to jail.

We will honestly probably never know the validity of the claims as there will probably be an undisclosed settlement which could mean the victim received monies,or even that the victim received nothing but it was agreed that the defence wouldn't pursue a counter claim against the victim / wouldn't ask for costs.

The maid in the DSK case had previously lied about being gang-raped, was recorded saying that DSK "has a lot of money and I know what to do", and her lawyers hired a Public Relations firm.

And she repeatedly claimed she didn't want money, she wanted DSK to go to jail. So naturally she accepted millions of dollars in a settlement to drop her civil suit, after prosecutors threw out her criminal complaint because her story didn't stand up. On at least two occasions she was caught in a lie and blamed "mistranslation".

DSK also had alot of enemies as well political and financially. A ton of them. That woman had credibility issues as well like you pointed out and I was always interested in seeing what would have happened if that went to trial, just to see if there was any hint of foul play from a politics standpoint. In some circles of Dem party, they hated this guy's guts as much as the Republicans did, and it was interesting to see the different reactions to the issue back then.

Wow, some people here clearly are not at all familiar with this case and are just learning of it now. It has been going on for years.
This has nothing to do with the college rape hysteria, false rape accusations, it is not at all a situation like that nearly 18 year old woman who knew what she was getting into and got with Berlusconi, or other feminist crap.
