^ I think for that one and those type of more classy well-styled girls it helps to dress better than they are when you approach. Can act like a clown or switch to giving advice on why the dress looks hot on her or not. If you dress better & have better posture than them they will listen much easier as you are their target for trying to look that good in the first place.

If you aren't dressed as well and try to do the clown/metro/gay friend humor about big butts in dresses I think it is easier for them to see you as entertainment rather than the guy they can imagine blowing later that night.

Maybe I am just getting old.

^Tone matters too and I'm always dressed well. Gotta talk a bit more slowly than usual to emphasize my deep voice and the tonality in these kinds of situations. Talk too fast and rush into it and you might as well be the gay friend. There's a lot that can't be explained via text based forums.

Posture (as you said), tone, and vibe matter. Think this is where most of the newbies are suffering.

What's also extremely underrated is positioning. How you position yourself in reference to the girl shows a lot more than what anyone can say.

Upon first seeing her I would probably have one hand over my face in a sort of "oh my god" but that's a reflex reaction.
