That was a hell of a game.. The scoreboard doesn't look great but the WIndies have such an exciting batting lineup when they click.

New Zealand set close to 400 to win, WIndies respond and reach 250 within 30 overs before losing all their wickets. If they were only 5 or 6 down at 250 they could've actually chased them down.. And that is despite NZ having some of the best bowlers in the world.

Apparently it's the biggest defeat in the history of knockout stages, but you can blame the West Indies bowlers for that.. Pretty sure they all went for 8+ an over. Gayle makes hitting 6's look ridiculously easy.

I'm embarrassed by the west Indies team. That was such a pathetic display I don't know how else to say it. Crappy bowling, crappy batting... and this entire world cup they've been crap. Big changes are needed for us to at least get better than associate teams because it feels like we're that bad. Just embarrassing...

First Semi Final.

South Africa vs New Zealand. SA win the toss and bat first. Good call by them from a mental standpoint. NZ get 320 first up and SA are in trouble chasing.

Looking forward to a cracker of a game. I pick NZ to win a tight one. Hoping for a bowling dominated game here...though on this tiny ground we might not get one.

Some cricket expert needs to write an article on the epidemic of bowling fucking length balls instead of yorkers at the death, otherwise I will.

Both teams chocked here though. Both these teams showed that there are big players in them, but also weak links that crack.

The 2nd semi final Ind vs Australia won't have those weak links. The winner of that games wins the World Cup.

Game of the Cup. Gotta feel for South Africa, with the rain coming just when ABDV was launching.

But credit to the Kiwis, it still took great mental strength to chase down 300 in a semi against a good attack.

Will be interesting to see if NZ can adapt to Australian conditions in the final.

That was one of the great one day cricket matches. I had $25 on TAB for NZ to win so it was sweaty palms the whole time NZ were batting, what a finish!

I feel a bit sorry for SA, they looked like putting 350 or more on the board until the rain came. NZ still had a massive chase and got there with one ball to spare, and ultimately deserve the credit for winning it. The last 6 or 7 overs in particular were edge of the seat stuff. Morkel and Tahir bowled superbly, and were backed up with some great fielding. Some composed batting from NZ meant that the game shifted from one team slightly in front to the other with every ball. Both teams gave everything, and it's going to be hard for the second semi and the final to top that in terms of pure excitement.
