Amber Heard has filed to dismiss her domestic violence restraining order against Johnny Depp as the two Hollywood stars have reportedly settled their messy and highly publicized divorce.
According to the Daily Mail, Depp, 53, and Heard, 30, reached a settlement late Monday night that will see the Pirates of the Caribbean star pay his now ex-wife “close to $10 million.”
TMZ reports the figure is $7 million.

I know his friend Doug Stanhope stood up for Depp and she went after him. Whether or not this defamation lawsuit is still on, Stanhope doesn't seem too concerned about it. In fact, I think he was mostly embarrassed that standing up for his friend might sound like name dropping or brownnosing:
Quote:While Heard called the piece “highly defamatory,” Stanhope said that the Alice Through the Looking Glass actor was happy with it. “I had no contact with [Depp] until he texted me after that went out and said, ‘Hey, thanks for being honest.’ He didn’t know that was going out. I was a little petrified because it kind of made him look like a bitch. 'Cause he was kind of a bitch,” he said.
Although he admitted it "still feels like name-dropping,” Stanhope maintained that he didn't write the op-ed for publicity, and said the lawsuit is comical to him because he doesn’t have millions of dollars to lose. “The idea of some Hollywood supermodel lady winning all of my s--t … She would be locking the doors driving down my street even without seeing a person. I live on the Mexican border in this dirty pothole-riddled neighborhood.”
Stanhope still stands by what he wrote, and repeated his allegations from the article on the radio show. "I visited him that day,” he said of May 21, the day Heard says Depp hit her with a cellphone during a violent argument. “He was alluding to the fact that she was going to do something like this. She didn’t come out until a week later that that happened. But it happened that night, and he was alluding to she’s going to do something like this.”

Considering that they charge per hour, and a good one can cost between 200 $ and 800 $ per hour,
Johnny Depp will afford it, but a regular you or me... I am not so sure...
The person with the most money is the one who is generally forced to pay for the lawyers.
You effectively end up paying for her lawyer and your lawyer to fight. Catch 22.
So things are worse than I thought.
Thanks for the insights
Even Depp is mortal, I'm guessing he realized now she's borderline, ANY involvement with them is like gargling with battery acid, they are basically geniuses at injecting their internal anguish into those around them.
He has a limited time to live no matter how rich he is, close friends are probably telling him, understandably, just pay 10-20 million ( his assets are something like 400?) and get her completely out of your life.
As someone who lived through their 50s, I believe one's eagerness to fight for what's right-- here where you know it will change nothing in the divorce laws --is academic in a case like this, you have to put enjoying your few years of very lucky everyday life ahead of "teaching the bitch a lesson", especially when you'll probably lose.
You can never get the time back you spend suffering from a borderline's erratic, toxic wrath. They actually STRONGLY FEEL they are right and aggrieved.
You will want to be not accessible at all, ever, not to court proceedings, phone calls, letters-- not to ANYTHING.

Maybe it's because I'm bitter, but even if I had to pay both sides' legal fees, if I was worth millions and wouldn't miss it, fighting this bitch for years to ensure she doesn't get shit would put a smile on my face.

Remember the first time I saw Amber Heard was in The Playboy Club
An attempt to cash in in the popularity of Mad Men with 60s style, but it was done by NBC therefore the show has lots of crappy stuff, from costumes, bad dialogue, terrible writing, and some feminism propaganda, Amber character was almost raped in the pilot, and is saved by a white knight played by Eddie Cibrian, is a very common tramps overused to make the audience feel sympathy for the character.
The show was cancelled after 3 episodes.
Then I remember she came out as a lesbian, which back in 2012 was the most trendy thing to do, she was dating some girl back then, but you can see she was not really into it.
On phone so can't post link. She's donating the entire settlement to charity according to Sky news. Just came up in my phone news feed.

I also read supposedly there is a video out there of him throwing a wine bottle at her. So with that in mind, and the charity donation, she might actually not be lying...
I wanted to side with Johnny on this, it seemed obvious that he was getting divorce raped for her benefit, but if she actually goes through with the donations (she hasn't done it yet), then I'll change my tune.
Then again, who knows if she's just trying to save face now that she's fucking Elon Musk and $7mil is chump change compared to his billions.

What is more likely to happen is she will take her sweet time and make small donations and try to get as much media coverage of it as possible: "Amber donates $100k to UCLA as she pledges to donate it all!" etc.
She will do this for a while (over months, years) until media stops giving a fuck and she restored her reputation somewhat then pocket the remaining $4-5 million. Now she has a somewhat restored image and enough money to never work again. #Winning #HoeStrategies
^^. Maybe she will, she'll look like a hero and she'll look so brave in front of the media. Also maybe she plans to get money by getting pregnant by Elon Musk. She probably tricked him into cumming in her as we speak now even now.

Heartening news. Johnny Depp's nutsack is on the mend. He is no longer lying down and taking it:
Quote:Once Johnny and Amber reached a settlement agreement, Ms. Heard immediately vowed to donate the entire $7 million amount to two charities: the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) for domestic violence and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. As the BBC suggests, the move shocked millions of people and may have even swayed much negative public opinion about her. After all, is there anything better than giving to mistreated women and children?
Johnny Depp doesn’t think so. That’s why he saved his ex-wife the headache of dealing with the red tape by donating her divorce award directly to the charities in her name. Instead of a nice thank you note, Amber sent her lawyers back after Johnny.
Quote:According to reps for Heard, Depp has decided to donate the money directly to charity in Heard’s name, rather than give her the money first and then allow her to make the payments to the charities. This has led to accusations that Depp received a sizable tax benefit from making the direct payment and that such action was in violation of the terms of the settlement agreement.
Quote:According to Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP tax lawyer Michael Kosnitzky, who represents both domestic and foreign high net worth individuals and corporations from the law firm’s New York and Miami offices, Depp probably didn’t receive such a benefit or even intend to receive one, but the right answer to whether he got a significant tax break depends on three things: (1) the specific provisions of their marital settlement agreement; (2) whether they complied with the specific Internal Revenue Service rules related to this matter; and (3) Depp’s taxable income received and his other itemized deductions incurred during 2016.
Kosnitzky went on to say that for a payment to a charity to be tax-deductible, it must be given with what tax professionals call “detached and disinterested generosity.” Here, Depp's payment probably wouldn’t have been made but for whatever the requirements are under the marital settlement agreement, so it’s unlikely that he’d be entitled to a tax deduction or that his intention was to seek such a tax deduction.
Quote:There are specific Temporary Treasury Regulations1 that address this issue. These regulations treat a payment made by a former husband to a qualifying charity as a charitable contribution made by the former wife, if: (1) the former husband made the charitable contribution on behalf of the former wife pursuant to the marital settlement agreement; (2) the former husband made the charitable contribution on behalf of the former wife pursuant to the written request of the former wife; or, (3) the former wife provides to the former husband her written consent to, or ratification of, the charitable contribution made by the former husband on behalf of the former wife.
If any one of these three tests are met, the payment by Depp directly to the charities will be treated as a non-taxable transfer of this amount from Depp to Heard and then immediately thereafter, a contribution of this amount by Heard to the various charities (so she gets the tax deduction and not him).
In other words, she has spent all this time trying to fuck with him, which is more important to a personality disordered woman than money, and the ultimate fuck you was to take his money, throw it away, and then get credit for the moral high road by pledging to donate it to a charity, an act she could always take back later by the way, claiming poverty or whatever.
Depp essentially called her bluff, by giving the money directly to the charity, and in the eyes of yeasty little skankmonsters like Heard, there is no greater sin than holding her to her word, so now she is pissed because she lost her virtue signalling advantage, and she is trying to paint Depp (Remember, SJWs always project?) as someone who is calculating and manipulative, and using the virtue card to gain an advantage, only it didn't work, because he knew that's where she was going, and was waiting for her when she got there.
That little Texas rattle snake is pissed now, and I bet there will be many more laughs to come out of all this as she just won't be able to let it lie, and will take to the media with all sorts of new accusations and fabrications.
Join the forum Johnny, I want to rep you. There's a few kicks in your old carcass yet.
