I took an acting class with one of Amber's best friends back in 2005. Her friend was 19 at the time and might as well have been 35. She was living on her own at 19 and was managing an outdoor store a couple years later. Even though she was 19, she had more sense than a lot of people in their 30's.

He should be alright. She should only be entitled to half of what he earned during their marriage (although I'm not a lawyer and don't know about the jurisdiction it was filed in).

The whole 'Take Half' doesn't fly when you can afford a high-end lawyer and were only married less than 18 months with no children. She'll still end up with enough to never need to work another day in her life. That's assuming she has half a brain, which according to accounts, she does.

Meanwhile, Depp just parks up on some tropical beach to recharge while his lawyer attends court for him. Now I can understand that some want a family.

Thing is, you don't need marriage for that.
