I just read 'The Trial' By Franz Kafka.
Interesting. Discusses themes such as shame and guilt- topics very common to the great Jewish writers. Metaphor is how we feel 'on trial' from authority figures in society for reasons we aren't even aware of.

I won't say any more as I don't want to ruin it.

Like most older literary novels it has some superfluous passages and pages, but overall I would recommend it.

Lovely use of imagery and metaphors.

Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens.

Somehow, I've managed to stay largely ignorant of one of the major works of the British literary canon.

My knowledge of this work prior to actually reading it? A young orphan making the best of the hand life dealt him. "Please, Sir, I want some more". "You've got to pick a pocket or two". The Artful Dodger (BO!)...
As for Fagin, I had a mental picture of him as Jack Nicholson with a comb.

Fuck me! The Jew? Master Bates? Oliver is beaten and shot. The Jew. Murder. Corruption. Did I mention The Jew?

I can't believe they haven't banned it...

I just read "Kill All Normies" by Angela Nagle. It's a book about internet culture, the MAGA people on the internet, fourchan, etc.

It is a very short read, but I don't recommend it. The author has some understanding of internet culture, but still doesn't seem to get it. Seemingly unaware that most of it is just super ironic. Nagle is a libtard I'm sure. Don't waste your time, just read the cliffnotes.

The Game of Life by Florence Scovel Shinn.

It is an old book but it's super complete in terms of raising your spiritual vibration and covers all bases on how to attract good things into your life. This is the third time reading it and first time I thought it was woo-woo but the more you read it, the more you know it's not. The gist of it is the law of cause and effect, reap what you sow. And living your life with fearless faith, non-resistance and love.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. It was written during the Depression era, but a lot of the book has to do with your mindset and setting it for success.

I've been more into the Law of Attraction and reading books about it for the last few years. There are things that I manifested and some things I didn't. It's a growing process.

Dictatorland-The Men Who Stole Africa by Paul Kenyon

This was a really good book about post colonial African “Big Man” dictators and how their countries became so fucked up after the Europeans left. It is divided into chapters that focus on different countries such as Libya, the Congo, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Côte D’Ivoire and Eritrea, each detailing how the countries dealt with the new reality of self governance in the context of the cold war. Some of the stories of corruption are mind boggling as well as the level of violence that some of these rulers used to keep their citizens in check- Nigeria and Eritrea being the most harsh. Others seemed less brutal such as Mugabe in Zimbabwe and Houphouët-Boigny in Côte d’Ivoire who seemed genuinely concerned about the future of their country and less with cronyism and favouring their tribe but who nevertheless succumbed to corruption and graft.

I recommend this book for anyone interested in African history and politics, it’s a page turner.

Haha good point. I gotta pick up a Dickens novel sometime soon, I've heard great things.

Someone else brought up those goblins that run the banks in Harry Potter? What were they called? Anyway, they looked highly Jewish and someone (not on this forum) wrote a long post about JK Rowling unknowingly inserting antisemitic stereotypes into her books
