The plays/books/movies that have two people of different SMV fall in love & elope are more fantasy than reality, I believe. I'll give the example of my high school experience as a reflection of reality: how many times do you see a popular cheerleader date a nerd, or really anyone other than a popular guy. Never. Cheerleaders would not look at me twice in HS. I remember one formal dance we had, I asked all these pretty girls to go with me and not one said yes. After 5 tries I asked a semi-popular cheerleader who said yes because she felt sorry for me. Then at the dance we danced one song and she left to go with her friends and a guy she liked. High School social strata and social positions is not really different from the rest of the world, except that out of high school you're allowed more of an opportunity to ascend the ranks.

I truly believe in dating leagues: guys and girls of different SMVs simply don't date. But don't look at this as discouraging. Look at this inspiring. If you want a high SMV girl find out what you have to do to up your SMV and you'll become a better man: wealthier, self-reliant, socially intelligent & physically healthier.

But there's also a distinction to be made: dating vs hooking up. Lots of people of different SMVs hookup all the time for ONS's and mini-mini relationships (1-2 days until the girl quickly discovers she's a higher SMV than the guy). But actual dating, no, couples are usually within 1-2 points of SMV of each other.

Another thing to point out is that SMV is not the same as character. I know guys who are really great men: hard-working, honorable, honest, leaders, etc. But they're dating some slovenly women. And I know totally shit men - lazy, dishonest, followers, dumb - who are dating decent girls. Thus it goes without saying that SMV is more about appearance and inner game (sense of entitlement, social intelligence) than the character of the man.

For the record, I 100 percent believe in Game. I am noting that looks and social status/wealth are more significant in pulling quality over a long period of time. Game is great for the 6-7 range and of course possible to move up for ONSs.

Tom Torero is a tall (over 6 foot) white guy, and well educated. Although not great looking, he's the type of guy that good game will do wonders for. Being from England doesn't hurt either when pulling EE girls.

From what i've seen in real life and experienced myself it tends to top out at +1 and on rare occasions +2 beyond your range with tight game.

When guys say they are punching way above their weight all the time I get a bit skeptical. Either they are undervaluing their own looks or SMV (happens more than you think) or they are exaggerating the looks of the girls they are getting with.

Then there are guys like Krauser who are pros at what they do and do pull above their looks while running tight game. However he's a white englishman hooking up with foreign women from mostly devevloping world countries in the U.K. There's still a significant status boost going on beyond looks.

Thing is we do know where WIA is based just his own schedule is busy as well as our own so none of us guys here in Houston can meet up with him. Disregarding all that there is one reason I'll never bash on G-Manifesto. The ideas he gave us were like dreams to us. His strategies worked and he have us an idea of what could lie beyond the horizon. If WIA is like that so be it I'll still listen to the guys selling us dreams of something better and giving good advice as there is no cost to any of us.

I was always against the phrase "she's out of your league" too. In fact I bet a lot of guys on this forum are the same way.

I was the one who didn't care if the girl was from an "upper tier sorority" and "only dates guys from such and such frat" I went for it anyway.

I think the truth is there are leagues or different subcultures that just don't mix (although with exceptions), but when you're hitting on girls you should pretend that there aren't leagues, or at least not think of it.

Same with job searching. Just send your resume out, even to employers who are "out of your league".

In both circumstances even though there is say a 1% chance of success, being rejected would be better than not trying. At least if you get rejected you can sleep comfortably knowing that you gave it a shot. If you don't even try then you are going to be haunted by that slight possibility something could've happened if you just tried. This was a conclusion I came up with long ago and helped my game and career. Maybe it's just my personality type, but I don't get too butthurt about rejection so to me it is better to at least try than to not try.
