I know this guy was banned, but he made a great point here which I meant to make on another thread. I say don't respond to job listings. Although I have been self employed for many years, the only success I ever had in finding jobs was just from cold contacting potential employers. When the listings are posted, potential employers receive more resumes than they know what to do with. What do you think your chances are when you are one of hundreds or thousands of applicants? You may be surprised by how few people cold contact employers in relation to the number of people who respond to job listings.
