You guys are making the same mistake people made about the military. Women won't actually have to go out and fight fires in the same way that women don't have to go out and fight the Taliban. Cushy desk jobs with the same benefits will be given to them, or where necessary, created for them. Then, women will still claim that they can successfully be fire fighters as proven by the increased numbers within the force.

I'd say let things run their course. After the collapse people will have more sense and there will be a cultural cleansing due to less tolerance for BS. So it has to get much worse than now before it can get better.
