whaaaaat. "Gazing" is now street harassment? Also, the "Physical harassment" were from dudes that were walking and didn't step out of her way and bumped her.

I actually thought walking around a Cairo without hijab would have been worse than that. I sort of feel bad for the men, the city is so void of female beauty all it takes to get attention is a women with her hair exposed.

Going out without hijab in Arab countries = "I am most likely a slut and I want attention"

I remember when political science group of women from my college went to UAE. They were explicitly told that the public will treat them as women fishing for cock if they aren't covered and they were handed a hijab as soon as they landed.

Not another one

Lets check in about 15-20 years on all the women that make these types of videos

And let them do the same thing

I can guaranty they will be crying because they will be invisible to the men(and their future sons) they show so much disdain for

Pretty typical of Cairo and a good street level view. It's pretty much lame compliments with a few obscene suggestions thrown in. That's that the Filipinas and western women I know here say.

It makes street approaches hard, because so many women have the bitch shield on or earbuds in their ears. They just blow by you without stopping.

There are a lot of beautiful women here, lots of classic Mediterranean faces. A little on the heavy side generally. I guess that is the Egyptian preference.

That's not harassment, it's catcalling. Nothing special here.

RE: 4 hours of walking in Cairo, Egypt as a woman.
There are 2 ways to look at this.
1) Saying ''oh they are just complimenting/catcalling her'' with a total lack of empathy.
2) Actually putting yourself in her place and trying to imagine how bothersome it can be to go through this every day for 10-15 years of your life. Whenever you go out all these thirsty, busted guys catcall you, try to touch you, follow you, sometimes say outright sexual things to you, stop you in the street, try to get your number and shit. And don't compare this to a nightclub and say this happens everywhere. This is street. Imagine having a boyfriend or a husband and this still doesn't change when you walk in the street, unless you cover your head which I won't even go into the disadvantages of covering your head. Call me whiteknight but I feel pity for women who live in Arabic countries and have to put up with all this shit. They are not allowed to go out at night just to walk, let alone going to a nightclub or a party. And they have to put up with all these dudes just because they don't cover their head and walk in the street without company.

Ps: I'm not assuming these things, I've been to Egypt. The situation is much worse than in the video. It has insanely high rape statistics.
Pss: I'm not advocating this type of attention-whoring and uploading it on Youtube. But there is a reality for women who live in Middle Eastern shitholes that I can't just dismiss by saying ''ah she's fine. It's just compliments and stares''.

I agree that Egyptian guys are lame and it's a hassle for women here. Women do go out, though. There is a division between neighborhoods where some places most of the women have no hijabs and other places they all do. Some of the women in hijabs wear tighter clothes than women without. I have seen some beautiful faces framed by hijabs above great bodies, too. There are a few 7s 8s and even a couple of 9s in my gym.

If you go to an upscale club, they get dropped off at the door in tiny party dresses.

"Stop you in the street, try to get your number and shit" I plead guilty. I thought about it today, the two numbers I got were at crosswalks, I have to wait until they are there waiting to cross the street to try.

I think it's more of the latter point especially since western men don't know that women in Egypt do have a sexual harassment problem. Given that our examples of harassment are revealed by spoiled college educated middle class activist white women (who want to believe that US sexual harassment resembles that of 3rd world countries), I would say we are a little desensitized to real harassment.

I have heard the same. I have heard that physical sexual harassment(actual) is almost endemic in Cairo.

The bulk of feminists pay no attention to the suffering of non-Western women, and the fruits of their efforts in the West are plain to see: favourable treatment in the law courts, rape culture, proliferation of 'beta males' or emasculated males, etc.. Making change or protecting women where it would count is too challenging; being an ideologue is more rewarding to them.

The disparity is massive and blatant, but completely ignored.

Another example is Emma Watson's recent UN campaign. The United Nations decided that the most helpful thing to do for women of the world, was to get a famous young woman to remind Western men that feminism is good. The campaign received favourable media coverage and support from celebrities. Indoctrinating more people, is more important than reducing suffering.

A video like this won't go 'viral'(it's had less than 40,00 views in close to a week), because the majority of people are too blinkered, and too scared to have their beliefs dismantled.
