I'm reviving this thread because US Magazine and the Daily Mail are reporting Selena Gomez ruined Taylor Swift's recent birthday bash by crying over lost love Justin Bieber the whole time.

Yes, I know these gossip rags are crap and this might be a lie. But if not, could Bieber be the kind of dorky white singer like Jagger, who has a natural way with women that much cooler guys like Drake or Chris Brown lack? I know it's trendy to knock him but one thing we don't see is him getting played.

There's nothing ironic at all about Asian people discriminating against other Asian people. Asia is a big place - you may see all Asians as a monolith, but the Japanese consider themselves quite distinct from the Koreans, the Chinese understand themselves to be very distinct from Filipinos, etc, etc. Since these various ethnic groups/nationalities in Asia are indeed quite distinct and have had sometimes acrimonious histories going back for thousands of years, I don't find it ironic at all that they may at times hold ill will for one another.

The same goes for black people - there are over a billion of them, and they are not all part of a harmonious monolith.
As far as the "lightskin" discussion within the black community goes, that refers to a racial dynamic in the United States that has been ongoing for centuries and is a product of America's unique racial politics which, unfortunately, have created a divide in the black American community between the lighter and the darker skinned among them). If you're not American and/or aren't particularly familiar with Americans, you aren't going to understand all of that. If you do get it, then you'll better understand why this Karreuche situation is so ridiculous.

We were half and half on that shit when I was growing up. Half of us would let that shit breathe and the other half would try to cuff em.
