That´s exactly how I felt. There was something off. The movie looks great, visually. It´s very well shot by Sam Mendes (a very talented director). But something was missing. It just went going from one set piece to the next. But I was never able to connect to the movie the way I did in Casino Royal for example.

Interesting - that's how I feel about most movies these days. Maybe I'm getting old. It's exactly as you guys say and the general feeling is that they decided on a list of major plot points and then just filled up the gaps in between. No soul in recent movies, they are mired by their own arrogance of wanting to be the next big blogbuster. Because to make inspiring movies, to tell stories that really affect people, takes risk and creativity and finesse beyond a laundry list of special effects and obligatory fight/action scenes.

The Movie destroyed the continuity. It didn't bring back an already dead Blofield from the previous era and completely destroyed the tension. Worst yet they were step brothers. What the hell...... Without context you wouldn't even know Blofield was an important villain in Bond history.

Boring movie that didn't live up to the Bond name. Waste of time 5/10.

To me it was just hilarious to have M and Bond on the side of privacy advocates in this latest movie, with M uttering phrases such as ''George Orwell's worst nightmare.'', while in reality we all know these would be the guys most likely wanking to the thought of 24/7/365 everywhere-allthetime-ineveryway -surveillance complex .

Exactly! It's a sad state of affairs. I recently saw some movies from the 80s like First Blood and Road House and was surprised how well made and crafted they were (yeah even Road House) compared to the dreck we see at the cinema theses days. Even the Patrick Swayze vehicle has, under all the cheesiness, a soul and is incredibly entertaining.

Today I saw the new Star Trek Beyond Trailer and it looks so generic, boring and unoriginal that it pissed me off.

I failed to notice Craig's (post-#metoo) body language, but I sure noticed that the De Armas chick has a nice see-through, barely above getting arrested for public exposure. Nice cute broad, WB, but not enough to convince me to go see the movie.

SJW movies won't have my money, and anyway, the last Bonds make no sense. Convoluted scenarios all over the place, Bond being shot by a Black snipering Moneypenny, castrated by a jovial and plump Spaniard, humiliated in every possible way... It pisses me off because Casino Royal is the ULTIMATE feminist bond movie. It features very strong/intelligent women, actual romance, a man getting his manhood destroyed (figuratively and literally) A man losing hope, women being the saviors (as in giving the correct knowledge) and lastly it shows a man being a weapon, a protector, a tool down to the coldest point. AND I LOVE THE MOVIE because they did all this very well, it didn't seem like a feminist movie because they made it a bond movie first.

Spectre came off rapey to me, maybe that's the reason they went this way.

I found Judi dench very believable as M, I dont feel shes a feminist character. Some old women become very redpilled with age and see things for what they are. My grandma is like that. The job also requires sending men to their death she showed the coldness to do that. She was unemotional and didnt get in to petty bickering. I liked her better than ralph fiennes.

That scene also made me think it was feminist bullshit, but it was actually part of the original book written by Ian Fleming in 1953.

Overall, I thought Casino Royale was probably one of the best Bond films.

Eva Green (who played Vespa, the only girl Bond truly loved) was very understated. The ending was truly tragic.

What is the source? Doesn't "willing to sleep with" actually means in this context their movie sex scene and if the actress would be ok with that scene or if they would just skip forward after the initial kissing part?
